Giveaway: Rachael Sage Pack

Sep16

A few weeks ago, you were introduced to Rachael Sage here on the Kitten Lounge who I feel is a mix of She & Him, Kate Nash and some of my other favorite artists. This summer, Rachael Sage released Chandelier and one of the songs that was released was Vertigo. In the last post, I included the audio but now, we have the video! I love the carnival vibe of this video with it's catchy tune. Not only will you be able to enjoy this video but it's giveaway time! We have 2 AMAZING gift packs of Rachael Sage. From now through next Tues we are looking for your comments that will be linked to this post. Play this video and tell us what you like about this song or when you would listen to this song. To me, this is definitely something that would be perfect for me to listen to while I work in Starbucks. Leave your posts here and I will choose 2 winners next Tues who will receive:

*Signed copy of the new release Chandelier

*Signed copy of the Chandelier promotional poster

*Copy of Rachael's Blistering Sun CD

*Rachael Sage T-Shirt

Wow, really like that video, it's the sort of video you can watch over and over, and each time you notice something new and understand a different bit of the story. I like all the different interactions & stories all tied in with a theatrical theme and with what feels like Irish undertones. My favourite part is how the soothesayer/fortune teller allows Rachael to 'see' by placing an eye in her hand... very clever... it's almost as if, after Rachael receives the power of 'sight', she can see what the future holds for each of the performers....

As to when I would listen to this song... it's the perfect sort of music to revise to... I have my finals fast approaching and I think this, along with all other Rachael Sage music, is perfect background music... not too invasive and still a pleasure to listen to.
This song has a real folky-irish feel, and manages to balance chilled out with upbeat and interesting... a song to love from the first time you listen to it... and a song to love more with each play....

It's a pretty cool video. And I love the song and album. I tend to do major designing (t-shirt contests) while listening to this and her previous album (The Blistering Sun). Excellent to get me moving, and keep the ideas coming. Have seen her perform five times over the last few years and she's always a pleasure to see and hear live.

I have seen the video quite a bit and I agree with you babydoctor, that you see something else at each turn. I also find that her music is motivating as SkekTek said. I have never seen her perform but I can imagine that she has a lot of energy.

I am still waiting for Rachael to head my way and perform... she is amazing... Love all her albums, but think The Blistering Sun is her best so far.....
Spread the Rachael Sage love...!

Yeah, shes definitely one of the best artists around atm... Not many great female singer songwriters out there atm... Tori Amos is definitely top of that game and Rachael reminds me of her in many ways...

She's a hoot live. She talks to the crowd candidly, takes requests, and is very friendly after the show. Plus, usually I get there real early, and after the sound check every time she's come over and said Hi. After releasing so many albums, it's great that she's still so friendly to her fans. She is based in NYC, so seeing her there is probably pretty easy.
