Snazzy Sundays: The Look is Great But How Does it Smell?

I am a huge candle person and much like I change my decor to match the season, I do the same with my scents. I have been a Yankee Candle Company girl since my first college apartment! So this morning as I see the most gorgeous sky ever compared to yesterdays windy and then horribly rainy day, I began to think about the aromas that must be used within our condo during the fall season (anytime between now and Thanksgiving - then of course you have to change again). Fall reminds me of crisp air, crunchy leaves, warm beverages and so much more. So here are some ideas that you may know of and those that you never thought of! Happy Sunday and can you believe that this will be the last week of Oct??

Autumn Leaves brings me back to a Little Indiana - when I think of fall, I think of two places my campus (Indiana University) an

Fall Festival is such a spicy mix - it includes everything that I love about this season - it's my favorite!

Farmhouse Apple reminds me of apple picking and apple cider - who wouldn't love this?

Frosted Pumpkin - you can't think fall without pumpkins!

Cafe au Lait - is a very warm and full aroma!

Cinnamon & Sugar - spicy and sweet but not too much!

Usually as far as I know of these candles, they do not smell much at all, unless you put some incense oil. The scent itself already gives itself is strong.

I disagree Midori0e... I have only had success with Yankee. In fact, I refuse to buy any other candle. I am currently using Candied Apple.
Can't wait to get a wiff of Cinnamon and Apple. Last year they had a Christmas scent called Jack Frost and I loved it. I bought some on clearance after holidays for this year but where I hid them is a whole other question lol

I have always enjoyed Yankee Candle Co but have only enjoyed this brand so I definitely agree with Jenn! Midori0e what candles do you prefer?

I love Yankee Candles. I've found other brands I like, but these are the candles I go back to time and time again. There's an outlet store about 15 minutes from me and I think I go about every other week. We're currently burning Autumn Leaves in the living room. I stocked up last year the same as Jenn and have several more in the closet for the holiday season.

I agree with you I have received other candles as gifts or if I happen to be out, I will get something. But time and time again, when I know I am getting candles, I go to YCC. I need to see if we have an outlet!

I love to experiment with candles. I’ll buy all different kinds of brands so I can find the ones that give the most strong/pleasing aromas. Yankee is a wonderful candle but I’ve also found many comparable and sometimes even better. Basically I love candles that are “food scented”. I love all cookie, pie, vanilla, and hazelnut scents! Smiling

Haha the food ones are good until you have food waiting to be delivered or something has to finish cooking/baking - then it's just torture.
