Happy Fourth of July! If you're in NYC or will be watching the fireworks, you're aware that they will not be in the same location (usually it's at Liberty State Park). This year is not only America's birthday but it is also the celebration of the 400th year that Henry Hudson discovered NY! So the fireworks will be on the Hudson River this year! In essence, it's the city's birthday which is actually very cool.
