Earlier last month, Chanel's Cruise 2013/2014 collection hit Singapore's runway. Chanel is an iconic fashion house no matter how you look at it. As an Accessories Expert, I love that no one does pearls and chains better then the House of Chanel. In addition, this runway presentation has so many bracelets, cuffs, ornate rings, chokers, bib necklaces and of course amazing hues of nail lacquers. I kicked off May (on the first to be exact), by heading to DC to appear on Let's Talk Live on ABC 7/Channel 8 to talk about Kim K Style, Jessica Alba (enjoy the video here) and fab accessories! What a great topic just in time for Mother's Day and I'm so pumped I'm able to share it with you! I shared some tips on how mom's whether they're mom's to be or post baby can look amazing. This post is definitely one that I love sharing as an Accessories Expert and the Co-Founder/Creative Director of Shoe Week! Kinky Boots is a musical that hit Broadway and focuses on shoes! When a son inherits his father's show factory which is heading for bankruptcy and yet he still wants to maintain the legacy of the business, inspiration has to strike somewhere. It's found in an entertainer that needs phenomenal and sturdy stilettos! Together the two work together to turn the business around and to learn an ultimate lesson about people truly working together and not focusing on perceptions of one another! Of course, this show is all about fab music, dancing and more in this brand new musical! Friday, the windows for Kinky Boots debuted at Lord & Taylor and yesterday, there were in store performances by Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein as well as the rest of the cast from Kinky Boots! Check out some images and of course I had to pop by the windows to see it for myself!

I have been so excited by The Great Gatsby movie that will hit movie theaters next month. As an Accessories Expert, I'm very excited about the movie as fashion and specifically the accessories will have a dominant place throughout the film directed by Baz Luhrmann. Tiffany & Co worked with Academy Award winning costume and production designer, Catherine Martin to create this world of glitz and glamour through its stunning jewelry adorned by a number of characters within the picture. It's not often that I tease you with a brand but today - you're getting teaser. As an Accessories Expert, I'm always checking out new pieces whether it's for this site, styling my clients or even filling my own closets. Bruce Llewellyn who was a prominent business man, one of the founders of 100 Black Men of America and majority shareholder of the Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Company). Since inception, Love, Alex has made significant contributions to Donors Choose.org - a philanthropic organization that supports children's education nationally, and will continue to donate proceeds of sales as the brand grows. If you've been reading my tweets you know of this season's addiction to Fashion Star mainly because of Glaudi's designer, Johana Hernandez. A few seasons ago, I remember seeing portions of her collection when she showed at LA Fashion Week and seeing her designs hit the runway on this show have definitely been a reminder to me on why her pieces are so phenom!

As an Accessories Expert, I'm also a fan of the fact that she not only rocks some serious accessories personally but she ensures her looks no matter how eye popping have them as well! Last night as she stood with the rest of the members of her team, she enjoyed massive bidding by all three retailers, Macy's, Saks and Express. Ultimately, Express picked up her beige and floral jumpsuits as well as adding in black.Of course I will continue to watch as she continues through the challenges and you'll find that at the conclusion of the season, there will be a recap of all of her designs with fab insights!

I'm always running around and since my schedule switches, gets added to, etc I like knowing that I have my basics with me. FROM MY WRIST COLLECTION

I love a little wrist love and there's nothing better then having a number of stacks together to showcase your fabulous arms! I had to share some of my favorites that are in my personal collection across the top. From the left, Nagicia has a rich navy hued bracelet with a fabulous gold bead. This is a great go to piece for me to wear during the spring and summer no matter what look I am going for. During NYFW, I was gifted a super cute and very bold pink bracelet from Debbie Merle Designs which is comprised of striped agate (I am a huge fan of this stone) and crystal rondells. Right before NYFW, I was gifted from Beso Beso which is a fabulous rich dark greenish hued stone that has a bit of bling with its pave crystals. This was the perfect Valentine's Gift to receive and is begging to be layered with a number of pieces in my collection. The final winner in my collection comes from a designer that I have admired for years and can say that I love her friendship and her spirit which comes out in a number of her pieces. My large onyx ring that I wear comes from her collection and these bracelets which are 3 fabulous black beads with Swarovski Crystals, comes from none other than Ana Reign!

WHAT I'M LOOKING TO ADD TO MY WRISTS

As an Accessories Expert, I can never have enough pieces and I'm always looking at how to rotate in a number of different items to rock whatever I'm looking to wear. I fell in love with Punch and Judy a few seasons ago and love the hues within this yellow and green piece which is very much so on trend. Keeping it neutral while glisteny with this elongated stunning crystal is what you'll find in this Year of the Boar. Satya Jewelry takes the beaded bracelet to another level with its use of some of my fave materials Yellow Quartz Citrine! Continuing on with a pop of color, aqua is always a great piece to have in your wardrobe and this one by Sydney Evan which has a fabulous embellishment of a Crescent Moon which is very old world and creates an aged and storied quality to it. Finally, I love a beaded bracelet that brings a great amount of bling by combining a number of elements together. Tat2 Designs has Vintage Gold Brass and Dalmatian Jasper which will be the essential go to piece from Little White Dresses (LWD), paired with denim or any of your favorite boho chic combos!

As an Accessories Expert, I'm always checking out new pieces that I want to wear or that I want my clients to wear when I style them! My rule for accessories is the same that I have for apparel. When you find yourself fidgeting in your garments or accessories, that's when you know that you need to make sure that things stay put! I have a growing kit that I use whether I'm going out with friends, going on air, prepping for Shoe Week events or styling clients for their music videos or their red carpet moments. Although a lot of my tricks of the trade are things that I have created myself, I love the items in this list as they are a must whether it keeps you looking fabulous or extends the life of what you're wearing.

Sometimes you do actually see me wearing earrings - although it can be a rare site! My ears are sensitive and I don't like the feel of an earring with weight although I think it's gorgeous to wear a pair of cascading chandelier earrings! To offset the weight and to feel a bit more secure, I highly suggest BlingGuard's BlogDots which have 45 pairs that are disposable and come within a tin. You can also use these on your clip ons, pins, brooches and badges.

I love Hollywood Fashion Secrets' Fashion Tape Refillable Gun as we all know it's great when we have garments that need to stay put whether you're ensuring that a wardrobe malfunction doesn't take place but it also has other uses that are not always about items playing peekaboo on you! When I wear scarves or sashes, I actually use the tape to keep the knots tied so that I don't have to tweak it during the day or night. I also like to use this to secure bra straps, to take the extenders on necklaces and to tape it under my dress so they don't peek out when I wear it.

I'm a rounded toe girl but there are times when I wear a pointy toe and my clients definitely love it. Over time, you'll find that your shoe has indentations as your natural gait will create breaks in the pointed toe area. Tip Top Shoe Saver ensures that you can put these little V-shaped items within the toe of the shoe to keep creases away when you're not in them. You know that my signature is a fabulous ring and of course, I get them sized when they're my own; however, when I am borrowing jewelry from a brand or styling my clients I have to use BlingGuard BlingWraps! Finally, we've all had a shoe that for some reason rubs against our heel or is a little loose in the back. I definitely suggest Avon's Back of Heel Liners has a set of two. This is definitely something that's great to have on hand to ensure that no shoe is deemed unwearable!

As you know, in addition to being an Accessories Expert, I am the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Shoe Week (and a new property in line with this that will be announced soon) - so shoes are definitely my thing! On the last day of NYFW FW2013, I swung by the Alexandre Birman showroom to see their Fall 2013 presentation at their showroom. There are a number of items within the collection but some of my favorites are their signatures! One of the things that he is known for is the knotted detailing which you can also find on the shaft of the heel as well as within the straps of the shoes. Another detail is the playful look of the python itself which includes two tones. Of course, I love a good over the knee boot which is the perfect way to dress up an outfit no matter what. For girls such as myself that have larger calves, I can appreciate that there is a slit so that you have a little more room! I'm already looking forward to rocking some of these faves!

In the world of accessories, it's so hard for me to have a favorite as I'm always embracing a new pair of heels, a bracelet, necklace etc. As many of you know, as an Accessories Expert, I always lead Accessories Forward! I pick my outfits based on these gems and love the whole process of finding the perfect mix. This time of year finds me doing a number of activities within short time frames whether it's styling a client, working on my jewelry line, checking out presentations and more. It's all about an outfit that works and ensuring that accessories keep me feeling completely in my element!

Leggings and jeggings are a major component to my look and I love a great shirt whether it's a button down or tee. I love these DSquared Slim Jeans which are a great pop of color and of course showcases the colors of my brands. It's all about an ode to old school with this fab ruffled shirt by Sara Roka.

This is such a crisp look that with fabulous accessories can really make your look phenomenal. I love these Sergio Rossi Painted Python Heels which is a great way to make a number of your looks come together without a doubt!. Never one to shy away from fun bold accessories, here are my top picks! Balenciaga's Arena Giant Rose Gold City is a fabulous touch whatever you're wearing. My readers know that I have been such a fan of this brand's bags and with so many colors that are available, how can you not find a favorite! A recent fave has been Kimberly McDonald who has so many pieces that has come on my radar. I love geodes and have been rocking a few pieces from a number of designers but her 18kt Rose Gold Geode and Diamond ring is such a fab item. Arm candy is an essential and I have a number of bracelets from Charriol and love their pave bar diamond wrist love.

Complete this look by a few more dazzling details. Lucifer Vir Honestus Diamond Trofeo Bracelet is a dynamic piece that works well whether you're dressing something up or taking it to the next level. Although I'm not a watch girl, there are times when it seems appropriate - this would be NYFW as I'm always running from one show, showroom, etc to another and getting just enough time to hang out with my girls. Movado's mother of pearl watch with diamonds is perfection. Finally, my sunglasses are everything! NYFW has some early call times when I'm backstage and events go well into the night. To ensure that I rest my eyes, I'm always looking for the perfect pair and I have been in love with Tom Ford's Rhi sunglasses which bring out your inner Charlie's Angel to be sure!

Each season Kitten Lounge's Love Guide shares my favorite picks for Valentine's gifting as well as what's perfect for Spring as we begin to think about getting our wardrobes together! this season I have a number of favorite brands to share with you from beauty, accessories and items that are perfect for traveling. At any given time, I'm always waiting for packages whether it's a beauty set that I have been thinking of working into a piece, accessories that I am looking to wear for a number of events and various clothing options for upcoming events. I couldn't tell you how much time is spent logging in items whether it's samples that stay, those that will be here for a set time or "options". All of it gets placed in a spreadsheet so that we can organize when everything will make its way to the site depending on the Editorial Calendar. Although every item will not be included within this post, I'll select our fave within the past week or a fab piece I've been excited to get!

A number of designers in November were offering items with a Spring/Summer delivery and yet there are times when something if offered that has a much closer window! After selecting the item you like, you have to pay a deposit of 50% and when the item is available and ready to ship, you pay the other half of the deposit.

I knew this would be a signature piece and you will see it in action later on this week as I will attend a private performance of a play. It's a lot of will power to purchase in November and not to get it until Jan but the day arrived (now I will be anticipating a super cute bag I purchased in Nov with a delivery of March)! As many of us are familiar with subscription boxes and other flash sale sites, I wanted to know what to expect from Bonfaire as this company has only been available since summer/fall of 2012.

As I opened the box, I love that there was a envelope with my name attached to the box with brown tissue paper. In addition, this note was handwritten and also acknowledged that this was the first item that I had received from them. Now many times I receive handwritten notes and there is something personal about me in it; however, these are typically because they are coming from a PR firm. Regardless of whether you're media or not, each person will receive a personal note on their first purchase and I will let you know about the second item and how that is!

My fab bracelet came in a branded brown box with a cream flat bow wrapped around it.

Sitting on its little jewelry pillow (not the technical name but that's what I call it) is my new gunmetal bracelet that I am sure you'll see me wearing!

Such a fabulous piece and I couldn't wait to snap a few pics. This bracelet has a nice wait and although I was taking quick images with my camera phone, when it's directly in the light, it sparkles and definitely has a luxe look.
