Today I'm waking up in Chicago! It was time to leave NYC and check out some other areas now that the weather is warmer and although I have a lot on my agenda for such a short time, I can't wait for the Indie Designer Market which is today and tomorrow! This is a great time to check out and to purchase pieces from indies while supporting the idea that we want these individual designs to thrive! I'm excited to see Objets d'Envy as I have been posting about this amazing jewelry line since I first found out about it! To finally meet Kristin and to purchase an amazing Swarovski Crystal piece in person - priceless! But I'm not there just to see those who I write about it! I also want to share with you the next best thing whether it's fashion or accessories! If you live in the area, you're fortunate to have this go on throughout the entire summer - so no excuses when it comes to supporting these artisans and if you'll be in the city and are looking for something of interest, then this is it without a doubt. I loved, Ethel's Chocolate place when I visited my friend in Chicago! Who wouldn't love a space that allowed you to relax and to enjoy your favorite chocolates. I love the fact that this pink lounge was such a cozy place that took my mind off the rain that was going on outside at the time. If you enjoy going to an icecream shop and selecting your favorite scoops, you will enjoy this place without a question. Take some time to check out the website it you can't make it to their various locations in Chicago or Las Vegas. What's my favorite - Chocolate Rum.

Chicago was so much fun and although I enjoyed all the boutiques, restaurants and more - one place that definitely has me thinking that I should visit it again when I come back in June! As my friend and I headed out to check out all these interesting places, we came upon the Mojo Spa. Now there are so many reasons why I enjoyed this spa. I love that they had handmade soaps and that you could purchase them within their cute packaging - this is ready for gifting! I wish that I could show you the super cute cake that is cute into individual "slices" which becomes a gorgeous soap cake!

When we came in, we were embraced by an amazing series of scents and we basically received a feast for the eyes with all of the soaps, jewelry and did I forget to mention that they also do pedicures and manicures as well? We saw a bridal party (and much like Dashing Diva which now seems like a distant memory) which makes this an obvious place to go for a group event. But in addition to offering beverages, they have brunches (with full on menus), tastings by Amanda, they have DJ's and it just makes it a fun place to go! When you're in Chicago, this is a must and I hope to come back in June to get a treatment. If you can't make it, Mojo Spa has a full selection of products available online and if you happen to know of something that is available (the sliced cake for example) but isn't on the site, you can call in your order. I wouldn't gush about something that is so cute and I look forward to touching base and finding additional items to share with you and of course images from my visit in June when I go!

This weeked I'm in Chicago and if you are avid readers of the Kitten Lounge, you know that I covered Pops for Champagne in the holiday gift guide last year. Pops for Champagne is a super cute bar that has a number of champagnes available, a great crowd and a jazz bar that has music Thurs - Sun (I definitely want to come back to watch a show as I am a fan of jazz being the great neice to tenor saxophonist, Joe Henderson). Tonight, we enjoyed the Flat Bread Lamb which was an amazing combination of lamb, garlic puree, apples and this tasty melt in your mouth flat bread! This complimented our champagne which I am sad to say, I don't know the label.

This is the kind of place that you can test your champagne knowledge or put your tastebuds in the hands of staff that can find what works best for you and what compliments your meal the best. When it comes to a great night out to begin, end or stay - this is definitely a top place in Chicago to come to. I have to say, that I wish this champagne bar would be amazing to have in NYC and maybe one day it will come here (sorry Bubble Lounge). If you're in the area - come by and yes, you can still enjoy the game!
