Merry Christmas everyone and to those that don't celebrate this day, Happy Holidays for whatever it is that you do enjoy! With only a week left, it's all about being happy and enjoying your surroundings while thinking of how you are going to take everything to the next level next year! With that said, I thought about the warm hues that he holidays in general bring your mind to. I love amber as it's a warm color and since I am all about lights, everything in today's spread supports the amazing bird cage that is the perfect item to include in your living room and is accessorized by my top 5 choices. We kick it off with Restoration Hardware.

First, warm lights are only amplified by amazing aromatics such as those that are created by D.L. & Co. which sits in an amber jar. These Hungarian Jars which are also available at Restoration Hardware are a fab hue and look amazing when the light passes through them. I love glass even when there is nothing in it. Because I am constantly hydrating, you can never go wrong when you bring in a little DVF into your decor with this twirl pitcher which has a fab aesthetic. When it comes to giving our bookshelves a little love, this Daum figurine is super graceful with a ballerina which adds a bit of zen and class to your space. Where did the week go? No, I'm not talking about the week but the warm weather. I was able to wear flip flops, ruched pants, maxis and more - then I woke up to chilly rain against my window! Last night I headed to Scoop NYC's unveiling of Minnie Mortimor's Spring 2010 collection (super cute pieces that will find its way here on Kitten Lounge and a little birdie told me that soon Scoop NYC will have an ecommerce site details to follow I'm sure). While there, I fell in love with Diane Von Furstenberg's Jaya Jelly Smoke Grey gladiator shoes. It got me to thinking about jean shorts as you see them everywhere but I tend not to wear them but I think this is such a cute way to wear them when you're running around or even getting ready to move from one fab apartment to the next. I love the Sunset Tank as it reminds me of the fab weather that we were teased with. Finally, this earrings are super cute and apart of Iman's Global Chic collection on HSN. Yesterday (minus the rain) the weather was pretty nice! It made me think of the fact (unless I'm too hopeful) that Spring could sneak up on us sooner than we think! I wouldn't mind having a longer spring season! Regardless, trench coats are a staple and although the classic tan color is something that we should all have, we should definitely branch out. I find when I'm running around to Editor's appointments and more, that I rarely take my coat off unless I plan on staying for a bit. With that said, my outerwear becomes my outfit for the day.

So with that in mind, I am including a super fab color and great accessories that will work with the coat and whatever you happen to wear! I love Michael Kors bag which has a great texture and really makes this look pop in such a subtle way. In addition, I love that Diane Von Furstenberg has branched out into eyewear. The same classic look that she has brought to her apparel comes in these glasses and allows all of us to embrace our inner Jackie O's. Finally, it's all about the ring and I love that this incorporates my love for the beach with the mixture of a seashell and coral! This is cocktail luxe to the max!

There are many ways to wow people and it doesn't always mean that you're make up has to have that dramatic look. There is something to be said for having a great look that's clean, fresh and focused. As you know, we're looking at great makeup looks that are paired with various outfits. This idea came to me late last year when I thought about how I decide what I will do in terms o makeup. Thus, when we hit 2010, I wanted to roll this out! Diane Von Furstenberg is one of my favorite designers and I love the cool neutral tones of this outfit that has a pop of color via the scarf.

I'm not going to lie this look in terms of the makeup came together after receiving an awesome package from a new friend! Earlier last week you may have read my tweets about being included within a post on Femina Magazine's Blog! This magazine is huge in Paris and its Beauty Editor, Rivka Valerie Nahimas has quickly become an amazing friend of mine who was introduced to me via Franco Lacosta (who took my picture for the Blogger X DVF photoshoot) a few years ago. Since we connected, we have been emailing back and forth and as I love her focus on beauty, you'll see her posts on this site as well! I had the pleasure of receiving a book that she wrote Pour Etre Belle and she included two goodies!

One of the goodies was Giorgio Armani's "Eyes to Kill" palette. Once I saw this I knew that this would be the perfect look to have with this outfit. I love playing up my eyes and with the various hues, you can create a great smoky eye and accentuate it with VS Makeup Eyeliner! To enhance the goddess look, NARS has a fab lip stain gloss that I'm a fan of and why not add a little bronze hue with Guerlain Terracotta Tan Booster. Together this is a great way to to go out to brunch in the city or to do a little shopping in South Beach. Either way it's a nice look that has the wow factor without going to that dramatic level!

A classic dress is an essential to any wardrobe regardless of your style. When it comes to the It dress that everyone should have, I urge everyone to think about getting the classic wrap dress from Diane Von Furstenberg. It never goes out of style and it doesn't take a lot to add to it whether you're going out for drinks, heading to work etc! Of course being someone who loves accessories, you know that I can't leave you without adding a few gems! First of all make sure to have a cute heel (check my Jimmy Choo's would be perfect for this) and then think about your cute hand bag whether you opt for a clutch, hobo, etc. Finally, jewelry is always an essential. Now Nicole Ritchie has been a part of a lot of fashionable collaborations but her jewelry line, House of Harlow, is such a great boho chic line. Now what I love about this is that she is actually about to make pieces exclusively for Bebe and will be available on their site and in stores by the end of the week!

I love that although this jewelry is super cute, they're best when separated to add a little more oomph to your outfit which is perfect to mix and match everything! I love the pattern and love the tribal elements of the pieces which adds a great flavor to the classic wrap dress! Diane Von Furstenberg Look Fashion Week Spring 2010

Usually I like for my accessories to jump out from my "primary" color; however, there are times when I love to have an impactful look. This gorgeous golden Diane Von Furstenberg dress hit the runways yesterday and all I could think of was an extension of golden luxe! To this end, I think minimal accessories are ok and that the gorgeous gold heels which have cute detailing on the back are perfect as a secondary focus. The necklace with its multi media adds various elements of depth (not only is this perfect for a night out but can also kick your jeans and tee look up a few notches) and of course the Swarovski bag is an obvious match to the overall look. If anything, one of the things that DVF knows how to do is to take a great style that works with various body types. The selling points of this dress is the length, the gathering and the asymmetrical qualities that allow the eye to follow the lines of your body. I love the Edie Cover Up as it is DVF which I am a fan of! This is perfect for that South Beach pool party that will be perfect to wear while the ball drops! I love Lauren Conrad's collection. Readers of this blog know that I wore her collection as I reported about the action on the runway in the tents! This halter maxi is from Express and I will have a dress similar to this in plum. I love the shape of dresses such as this as it definitely brings that goddess effect! I also love this darling Tracy Reese dress which is a classic body with the colorblock! No matter where you are or what you're doing, this is a day to look fab and I think that these are great places to start (I would be pleased to have any of these in my closet)!
