Mingling Mondays ~ Kyle Richards, Style & The March of Dimes

As many of you know, since I travel a lot, I'm all about a number of reality shows. One of my faves happens to be Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Kyle Richards, is my favorite housewife within that show. I think I'm such a fan of hers as her sense of style is close to mine. I love her boho chic goes classic style, as an Accessories Expert I appreciate how she is always well accessorized AND I love that we have a number of outfits that are the same (and no I didn't buy them after the show aired). I got the opportunity to do a little Q&A with her about her role within the March of Dimes campaign, her personal style and what we can expect to see next!

-What does your involvement of the March of Dimes 75th Anniversary and their annual IMBORNTO campaign mean to you and how did you get an interest as well as become involved within it?

As a mother of four children, I can't think of anything more important than having a healthy baby. I've always admired the work that March of Dimes does, so I was proud and honored to be partnering with them for their IMBORNTO campaign.

I'm always impressed with your sense of style as I find that in in a number of episodes, we actually have a number of the same items in our closets - how did you begin to define your sense of style?

It changes from day to day depending on my mood. I always joke that I'm half rockstar, half librarian. I can go from bohemian, to classic to edgy, depending on the day, but I always have to be comfortable.

What are your accessories staples that you can't get enough of wearing?

Earrings and sunglasses

How do you balance your busy life between your hubby, 4 daughters, additional family members, filming the show and running your boutique?

I sleep very little these days. I wake up very early and have learned to manage my time better. It's always back to back, all day long with no breaks. But as a woman, I'm a good multi-tasker.

What have you learned about the fashion business that you didn't know about since opening your store?

How far in advance we buy the clothes in the store. It doesn't match up with the weather and you're not always in the mood, but that's the way it works. Also, so many boutiques in Beverly Hills don't carry enough variety of sizes. My store carries a wide variety of sizes that caters from teens to older woman and I've learned that people really appreciate that.

Will you ever launch your own clothing or accessories line?

I'll keep you posted on that :-)

Mingling Mondays: April ~ Fashion Windows

I love taking a stroll around the city to check out the window designs as well as floor setups! As a former Visual Merchandiser, it's a great way to see how each retailer showcases their themes as well as how each location within that retailer brings it into their individual stores! Right now, I'm loving the above stores in that not only are their presentations inviting, but it gives me a lot of ideas of accessories that need to come into my rotation as well as into my closet! Roll over the images above to see why Coach and Bergdorf Goodman are on my list when it comes to rocking Spring and Summer looks in the most accessorized way possible!

Mingling Mondays ~ Zoe Saldana at the MTV Movie Awards

Last night, Zoe Saldana hit the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards yesterday and although I would have loved to have seen something else in terms of her apparel (yes it's Givenchy but for me, there are a lot of trends - floral, cut outs, lace, etc placed together and it doesn't allow you to enjoy the overall sophostication of the look) - I love the accessories that she's rocked! While many awards shows are all about high glamour, there are also shows where people are able to dress laid back and to be a bit more casual. Both of these rings are amazing and a great way to take your look to whole other level even when you're casual (of course when you're dressed up, these rings are absolute stunners). Roll over the above images to find out about Graziela Gems and EF Collection.

Roll over the above images to see the perfect look to wear when you know you're doing a million things and want a look that allows you to go from one thing to the next! Mingling Mondays: Project Runway ~ Lord & Taylor Challenge

The 9th episode of last week's Project Runway took place at the 5th Avenue Lord and Taylor department store with the inspiration coming from the retailer's signature, "American Beauty Rose", as well as the customer in mind as well and finally finishing the look with selections from L&T's Accessory Wall. The winner, Michelle Franklin, had their piece produced and is sold exclusively at the store's select locations, their website and included within the windows of the 5th Avenue location. Michelle's chartreuse satin colorblock shift dress with chiffon and microsuede trim is the perfect item to include within your spring wardrobes without a doubt.

As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of Lord and Taylor as I love purchasing my outerwear as well as shoes from the 5th Avenue location. I can always find what I'm looking for without having to worry about not finding a sales team to assist me! Above you can see how this dress began in sketch form and how it is available for purchase and how it is styled. Of course, you know when it comes to accessories, I always have a few twists and I love playing with yellow as it's a great neutral to build on top of!

ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK

Here's how I would style this look for myself or for a few of my clients who love playing with neutrals! All of these items are available at Lord and Taylor and are perfect to wear with a number of other looks that you'll wear throughout the Spring and Summer! Mingling Mondays ~ Spring Break Exists

Growing up, Spring Break took on additional importance as it went from a family vacation to those that I spent with college friends. Once you get into the "real world", it's almost like some of the things that we enjoyed growing up are supposed to remain in the past! For me, I'm always traveling and thankfully, my travels during the Spring are in the islands whether I'm producing lines, doing an appearance for a brand or meeting with potential clients for initiatives that will take place later in the year. It's a way for me to bring in Spring Break as all I need are cute bikinis and a well placed maxi!

This week, I am heading off to Charleston as I have styled a runway show that is participating on in Charleston Fashion Week! Having Shoe Week take on this component is definitely exciting and with the up and down weather that has taken place (with a possible snowstorm coming), I'm glad to make my way to the historic downtown of this city! Roll over the images to see how you can enjoy Spring Break in your own way whether you're traveling or just having a moment in the city. Yellow is definitely having a moment in my closet and I love (as many know I am not someone who typically wears gold) how the gold and neutral hues play together in such a playful way. I'll be sharing information from the tents while I'm there for a quick trip and if you have time, plan your Spring Break getaway so that you can have a moment in the sun as well.

Mingling Mondays: Events ~ Marshalls Spring 13 & Maria Menounos

Some were worried about the winter storm that was coming to NYC but by the time I headed out to check out the Marshall's preview for Spring 13, I realized it was just going to be rainy for the evening. Earlier last week, Marshall's was the sponsor for Oxygen's The Face (and of course, my team, Team Naomi won the challenge). There were a number of presentation with the loft space showcasing how Marshall's is a destination for style with items for working out, being out and about, for your living room, home office and even when you're entertaining. Hosting this fun event was the fabulous Maria Menounos who is a host on Extra, who debuted her movie (later in the week) Serial Buddies and is the author of the Everygirl's Guide to Life. It was great to hear about how she personally enjoys working with the brand as she has been a long standing customer! On her list of musts for this season, (which is great for all of us) is pops of color, pointy toe shoes, items for her pups, pillows and beautifying her office. In addition, Nicole Feliciano of Mom Trends (who I love that in the past few weeks we keep bumping into each other) and I took a pic with this stylish glam girl who rocked an entire look from this store minus her fabulous Christian Louboutins. Much like the previous post, it's definitely fun to cast a wide net in order to shop around for items that are perfect for all of your looks within your lifestyle!

Mingling Mondays: Events ~ TJ Maxx & Spring 13

Even though I can't complain about our winter at the moment, I am definitely looking forward to the Spring! There's something about wearing lighter coats until eventually, you're not wearing a coat at all which puts an extra bounce in your step. The week before last, I headed over to TJ Maxx's Spring preview which showcases what they have in their stores from a number of fun blazers, maxi dresses and more! I have to say that I fell in love with a pink Cynthia Rowley blazer, Alice + Olivia shoes (pictured above) and more! In addition to a number of pieces within their stores being straight from the runways of your favorite brand, I loved that they shared fabulous trends that are dominating the season - many of them being ongoing classes! I loved this Black and White group as I love wearing these hues together - very chic! When putting your look together, it comes from a number of sources that allow your outfits to truly pop.

Mingling Mondays: Events ~ Kenneth Cole & amfAR

The week before last, I headed over to Kenneth Cole's HQ to attend, Conversations with Kenneth Cole in terms of looking at his activisim with his fight against AIDS, his campaigns on this subject and how he engaged this platform within the culture of his company. I had been to this location before as I had enjoyed a fabulous dinner with him and his creative team a few years ago to present the Spring 11 collection. This event was presented by amfAR's generation CURE and The Luxury Marketing Council with a moderated Q&A by Senior Editor of WWD, David Lipke. Kenneth took us on a journey of how he started bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS in the 80's when the subject was not one that was talked about as well as having connotations to the disease. His ability to continue focusing on this subject began rallying those to come together by raising money, bringing celebs together. At that time in the early stages, there were 17 organizations that were involved in this fight. Juxtapose this number with a much increased awareness and research focus. In addition, it seems that in our lifetimes, there will be cures for this disease. There is definitely hope with just days after this event, that it was announced that a a toddler born in Mississippi with HIV was functionally cured!

In addition to this event being about honoring the work that Kenneth Cole has done personally and through his company, it was a great way to see portions of his collection (a number of them were posted on my Instagram account) as well as to mingle with a number of members from The Luxury Marketing Council. Anytime someone uses their success and resources for the global good, this is definitely something worth noting and celebrating. Take some time to check out his iconic ads via The Kenneth Cole Advertising Archive as they will have a permanent home on his site where you can see ads that focus on campaigns and the issues that have come across his path in the nearly 30 years he has been in business!

Mingling Mondays ~ My Office Travels Light

Now like many of you, I have so much tech it's a bit crazy when it comes to putting things together when I'm running around the city or seriously traveling on a trip! So when I am working with my clients I have a series of items that I love taking with me so I can stay connected and sometimes pass the time as well. As you guys know I'm a member of the Tablet Crew which is a great way for me to use my Samsung ATIV in my day to day life!

I use my tablet to draw sketches for my jewelry line as I love one of the programs that comes pre-loaded on the tablet, Autodesk Sketchbook Express - this is a fun program whether you're doodling or seriously making some sketches. For a number of files that come my way, it's super easy to navigate them and keep them organized with Box and Dropbox! In addition, I use my Sky Drive a lot which houses my pictures and recently I downloaded Office 365 (courtesy of the fabulous Microsoft team) that allows me to have all of my office programs (as I'm always creating something whether invoicing my clients, reading a document etc) and it allows these items to not only be in the cloud but it allows me to download this program to all of my tech (my phone, laptop and more). You can win a one year subscription of Office 365 for your very own! Simply let me know how you would use your Office 365 to keep your tech connected and to get your work done! I also love my Unit Conversion as when I'm running to my stores buying jewelry components I can convert the measurements! When I'm in some down time, I love Pianotime and Mahjong! In addition, I actually work out from my tablet as I'm doing a fun 12 week challenge for Revolt Now Fitness, each Friday I will share what I'm up to as I work on the challenges and get ready for Spring and Summer!

I'm all about accessorizing! When I first got my tablet, I spent a week trying to figure out the perfect cover for it! Interestingly enough, this tablet is slightly longer then the iPad so it doesn't fit with a lot of brands! BUT I realized that this tablet which is 11.1", can fit in cases that are perfect for Apple's laptops especially their thin ones! One of my favorite places to go to for my tech when it comes to keeping it away from harm is Piel Frama which is a phenomenal leather case house out of Spain! This morning my case finally arrived and I love that this brown leather case (which smells amazing) is almost like a folder/portfolio as my tablet can slip into it.

As you guys may know, my sister's fiance is a DJ and has spun internationally and at a lot of events here in the city! Although you will not see me doing this at any level that he is, I do love Urbanears that turns your tablet and phone into your own DJ tools where you can mix your music and feel like you're rocking it like a world class DJ! It comes in a number of colors and just fits right in my tablet and allows me to play! Of course, when playing this OR when listening to my music, Sol Republic is a must whether it's my headphones that sit on my ears or the ones I use when I'm running around that sit in my ear - it keeps the sound perfect while also allowing me to use it to talk on regardless of the kind that I am using! Finally, I can't say enough how much I love using my Go Smart Stylus which allows me to navigate my tablet from the tip of it when my fingers are tired! I'll continue to loop you in on what I use to keep me connected as it's always good to know what's out there as well as what apps are awesome!

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana looked amazing on the red carpet last night at the Oscars in this stunning Alexis Mabille Couture gown. Straight from the runway, this Parisian designer is known for color and if you know of former dresses that Zoe has worn for red carpets, you know that she isn't afraid either. I love the hem line and how it allows you to see her Roger Vivier shoes with bow detailing.

To compliment her beauty look, Celebrity Makeup Artist Vera Steimberg shares her steps which can allow you to do the same when you're looking to do this for your next event.

INSPIRATION:

My inspiration for Zoe's look came from her amazing classic French chic silhouette style dress. I used soft palettes for a natural, sensual, feminine look around her face.

SKINCARE:

Her skin was given hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Sublimage La Crème. For the eyes, I used CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Yeux Eye Cream.

FOUNDATION:

I started with CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra -‐ Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 and then combined CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long -‐ Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 in 44 Beige Ambre and 94 Ambre to perfectly match her skintone.

BLUSH:

After a light dusting of CHANEL Poudre Signèe de Chanel Illuminating Powder on her high cheekbones, I applied CHANEL Powder Blush in Frivole.

EYES:

Zoe’s eyes were the big focus! I started by applying CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Mirifique all over her eyelid and CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Fantasme under her eyebrows as a highlighter. On the edges of her eyelid, I used CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes to give the outer part of her eyes depth. On her inner eyelid I carefully applied CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long -‐ Lasting Eyeliner in Santal. For a final bit of drama, I finished her eyes with a black liquid liner and CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.

LIPS:

I finished with CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Chic for a soft lip color that complements the
gray in her dress.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Amanda Seyfried

Last night at the Oscars, Amanda Seyfried who starred in Les Miserables hit the red carpet of movie and fashion's biggest night! Amanda wore a custom halter Alexander McQueen gown in lilac organza which was covered in dragonfly embroidery. Like many, she wore nude; however, she stood apart from many on the carpet by opting out of a strapless gown and had a keyhole neckline. Her glimmery look was complete with earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and I love the hairstyle which was done by Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist whose "... inspiration for Amanda’s hairstyle was her beaded, high-neck gown. I felt it called for a beautiful, soft updo to complete the timeless red carpet look". Continue on to find out what Jenny did and how you can do the same thing via their products and her steps.

* Apply Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse to wet hair from root to ends to help define and hold curls for 24-hours. Then layer a few drops of Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil from mid-shaft to ends to instantly condition hair without weighing it down for long lasting, silky shine.

* Use a diffuser to dry hair, bringing out natural texture and waves. Once completely dry, mist Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray to the top front of hair to lock-in waves with weightless hold.

* Gently tease hair at the crown with a wide tooth comb for instant volume.

* Loosely pull the top and sides of hair into a mid-level bun (leaving the bottom free). Then, softly secure remaining bottom hair into the bun, hanging loosely above the nape of the neck and pin.

* Finish by pulling out strands around the ears and loosening up the updo; mist Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray for touchably smooth hair.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Halle Berry

Versace hit the red carpet and had the best person who could wear this black and gold dress with a nod to geometria, Halle Berry! When asked what made her say yes to the dress, she explained that since she was involved in presenting the award for the James Bond Tribute and she wanted to personify the Bond Girl and that this dress did it! Without a doubt, this dress proves that you can have a sexy and body conscious dress that looks amazing without the concern of wardrobe malfunctions. We know that Halle has an amazing style and body and you too can rock her beauty look which combined Revlon (Halle is the Global Brand Ambassador) and Chanel.

Kara Yoshimoto Bua, CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist, created a soft and feminine look with bold eyes and a colorful cheek to complement her Versace dress. “I kept Halle’s look pretty casual and tonal, yet still glamorous, to complement the striking look of the dress,” said Bua. “I focused on the eyes and added some shimmer for dimension. Halle is presenting the Bond tribute award, so that was kind of the theme for the entire look.” Bua's look can be found below.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Amy Adams

Hitting the red carpet is a dream and even more so when you're at the Oscars! Amy Adams, continued the theme of a dream with this fabulous neutral Oscar de la Renta dress which is full of whimsy. Although I love this dress and the grey tones, I'm still not convinces that this was the right dress for Amy in terms of the hue (I would have loved seeing her wear it in a toned down gold or any color that would have a pop in it as it's hard to pull off a neutral depending on your tone/undertones). She completes her look with fabulous diamond earrings and a bracelet from Mouawad which makes the entire look even more regal!

To get Amy's beauty look, she has Chanel and Celebrity Makeup Artist Stephen Sollitto to thank for this! You can create the same effect when you want to have this same look. Below, Stephen let's you know how he created it and of course, what he used.

INSPIRATION:

My inspiration is always a combination of the girl, the dress, the occasion and our feeling the day of the event. Since the gown is a pale slate, I wanted Amy's face to have subtle color. I thought a palette of plums, taupes and pinks would be
perfect for her. This is no specific look, just a stunning overall appearance with focus on her eyes.

SKINCARE:

Her skin was given a good dose of hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Sublimage Essential Regenerating Fluid and CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Yeux. I find that by moisturizing well, the foundation melts into the skin rather than drying on top of it. If her skin doesn't look healthy, you distract from the whole look. CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum protects and helps the skin achieve optimal moisture levels, while CHANEL Sublimage, the most luxurious cream you will ever use, delivers the moisture. This step is just as important as I want Amy's skin to be at its best.

FOUNDATION:

I used a combination of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-‐Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum
SPF15
in 20 Beige on the high planes of the face and added a little CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Long-‐Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 through the center of the face to give a velvety complexion. I apply this with a damp
sponge so the application can be gentle and sheer leaving Amy's well moisturized skin to breath.

BLUSH:

On the apples of her cheeks, I lightly dusted CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Petale, which is a perfect pink so she
looks flush with color, but not overpowered by it. I then added Poudre Signée De Chanel Illuminating Powder on the high cheekbones, a tiny amount on the bridge of the nose and the heart of her lips to add dimension and illumination. This effect is really beautiful and I love that it enhances how skin looks in photographs.

EYES:

Amy's eyes were the focus today. We thought an ethereal smokey eye using plums and taupes would be softer and
perfect match for the dress. I swept her whole lid with the pale pink shade from CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in
Mystic Eyes
. This just gives me a blank canvas and a clean eye to work with but adds just a hint of sheen. Next, I lined her inner
upper and lower lids with CHANEL Precision Eye Definer in Brun. I did this first so it would blink away as we continued. Next, I lined
her upper lash line with the same pencil, smudging it out with a small brush. Over that pencil I swept this beautiful reflective shadow CHANEL Illusion D'Ombre in llusoire. This smudged the eye even more, softening yet deepening the color. I swept this
out to the corners making sure to blend. Lastly, in the very outer corners -‐ right in the lash line -‐ I tapped the deep plum color from CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Raffinement with a flat brush into her lashes darkening the root and the corners of her
eyes. Under her lower lash line, from corner to corner, I brushed the taupe color from this quad. Then with a straight flat brush, I
ground the muted lavender from this palette into the lower lashes. You're building the eye out here and each color is important.
The end result is subtle drama.

MASCARA:

I curled the lashes and added two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. I always use waterproof
mascara on so it stays all night. I added a few individual lashes in medium and small to thicken the lashes and add some drama without having to go too dark with the shadow.

LIPS:

I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Pygmalion (Available May 2013) on her lips for an
easy, effortless hint of pink. For a bit of reflection, I did a light coat of CHANEL Glossimer in Eden (Available May ) over it. This adds a bit of glamour with out stealing focus.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson rocked the red carpet at the Oscars last night in this fabulous dress by Roberto Cavalli in a richly hued blue gown. The high slit of this dress showed off her Jimmy Choo peep toe pumps. Later on in the evening she had an amazing performance from her movie "Dreamgirls" singing, "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" which left me breathless as the power of her voice is amazing!

Jennifer hit the red carpet with a simple, bone straight hairstyle crafted by Clairol Professional Celebrity Stylist Kiyah Wright. Kiyah created this look which is one that you will want to try when you're thinking of going super sleek.

* Prep hair with Clairol Professional Jazzing in Coffee Bean, let sit for 5 minutes and wash out with Clairol Professional Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

* Spritz hair with a lightweight silicone spray to tame flyaways.

* Straighten small sections of hair using a flat iron starting at the nape and moving towards the top of the head.

* Cut wide set bangs and add clip-in extensions for length and drama.

* Finish off with another spritz of silicone spray for light hold and added shine.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Samantha Barks

British singer and actress, Samantha Barks played Eponine in Les Miserables! I actually loved her character and tonight, she hit the red carpet at the Oscars in this fabulous Valentino (from Spring 2013) stunner which has a plunging neckline and back. Many debated on whether this was a no no but I think it was edgy enough to raise and eye and yet in the lines enough where it was appropriate to wear to an event such as this. With such a chic dress, she completed the look with this fabulous diamond sunburst necklace.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ It's Oscar Week

It's Oscar Week! Throughout this week celebs will hit a number of luncheons, gifting lounges and more. The Academy Awards will air at 8pm this Sunday with red carpet coverage starting at 1:30pm! We'll be tweeting talking about who's wearing what and a number of other tidbits. Leading up to it, come here to find out how to get red carpet worthy whether you're attending viewing parties or want to know how to glam it up for a major red carpet event or times when you know that all eyes will be on you in casual settings. This falls into my belief of "nuvo glam" I love how you can mix fabulous items with casual pieces (which Oscar Week is full of a number of activities that are relaxed) or key pieces that work well with glam.

Over the last few days, it's been all about NYFW (continue on with Fashion Week by checking out what's going on in London) and I love that although there are a number of items that aren't available until Fall 2013 - many of the beauty looks can definitely be rocked now! As you know, I covered Houghton Backstage and fell in love with the hair (Relaxed Elegance) that was created for the show by. Once again, I had to share the looks that were created via their Lead Stylist Joseph DiMaggio and the rest of his L'Oreal Professionnel team with its new product, True Grip.

CREATE THE DO

To create this look, DiMaggio poured a liberal amount of the NEW L’Oréal Professionnel True Grip Texturizing Powder ($15; .25 oz.) into a bottle of L’Oréal Professionnel Volume Expand Leave-In Spray ($24.00; 4.3 fl. oz.) for grip, hold and foundation to the style. The mixture was sprayed generously from roots to ends. After drying hair with blow dryer, hair was then split into three sections, two over the ears and one over the nape. The back section was then braided, then twisted and pinned into a low bun.

DiMaggio then pulled one of the remaining side sections towards the neck while loosely covering the ears, wrapping hair under and around the bun. The same step was repeated for the remaining side section. L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3 hairspray ($24.00; 11 oz.) was then spritzed all over for hold, and finished-off with L’Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer ($21.00; 5.8 oz.) for shine. “I love the look Joseph created,” said Polk who who has collaborated with the brand’s session styling team for three ready-to-wear seasons. “Joseph and I created a pulled-back look for the show that was clean and simple but had slight notes of the [collection’s] inspiration.”

ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK

As many of you know, I don't wear earrings; however, there are times when they are a must and with this look for your hair, you have to adorn your neck with more than necklace. I have rounded up some fabulous earrings that are perfect from running to lunches and of course the red carpet of the Oscars! Olivia Collings ($10,450; Barneys New York) has fabulous paste earrings that are antiqued and have a great chandelier effect. If you're looking for something a little edgy, including Ileana Makri ($2,409; Matches) white gold and diamond snake earrings. For a pop of regal color, add Irene Neuwirth ($9,260; Barneys New York) with these Boulder Opal Long Earrings. One of my favorites in this spread for a fun gifting lounge, these Small Abalone Shell Earrings in 10kt Gold by Annette Ferdinandsen ($1,230; Ylang 23) are amazing to wear with fun dresses and jeans. For sheer elegance, these diamond earrings from Me & Ro ($900; Barneys New York) are a great way to add a touch of chic to your look. Finally, fabulous bling can be found with Fabrizio Riva ($1,395; Barneys New York) in brown diamonds which are so decadent with these long earrings.

Mingling Mondays ~ Shoe Revolt & Jada Pinkett

As an Accessories Expert, you know I am a huge fan of shoes and I love when purchasing a pair helps a cause! Shoe Revolt is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that auctions celebrities’ shoes to raise funds to deploy a social franchising model called Teen Revolt Chapters (teenrevolt.org) across the nation. The Teen Revolt Chapter’s mission is to educate, engage, and empower youth to take the lead in the fight against domestic sex trafficking through peer-to-peer involvement, training, activism, and social enterprise development. This organization works with celebrities who donate their shoes to allow Shoe Revolt to auction the shoes through eBay and deliver one hundred percent of the profits to Teen Revolt Chapters nationwide!

You can visit Ebay now through Feb 18th to bid on these fabulous Jimmy Choo heels and to ensure that continued efforts are taken in the fight against sex trafficking. In addition, your assistance aids this organization to educate teens so that they are empowered about this form of modern day slavery. Find out more by visiting their site or tweeting with them at @ShoeRevolt.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Kelly Rowland Grammy Look

You know that I heart Kelly Rowland and when she hits a red carpet, she rarely misses. Last night at the Grammys, Kelly looked phenomenal in a Georges Chakra Haute Couture from the Spring 2013 collection. This is the perfect dress to wear to show skin and yet to do it in a chic way. I also love that Kelly tends to gravitate towards looks that are a nod to geometria as she did this last year! Although this definitely was against "the memo" that was sent out, this Black Crepe Gown had illusion insets with a fall front skirt.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Carrie Underwood at the Grammys

Music's biggest night also had an interesting series of events take place prior to hitting the red carpet! The Grammys issued a dress code policy to ensure that there wouldn't be wardrobe malfunctions (of course there were a few people who opted out of working within the dress code and shared a bit of exposure - of course we'll recap on our faves here). One of my favorite looks meshed fashion and technology together. Carrie Underwood rocked this custom made THEIA dress which was made in 6 days! “When I received the call from Carrie’s stylist, Trish Townsend asking me to make the dress, I felt a rush of excitement and immediately said I’d be thrilled and honored to design a gown for her,” states Don O’Neill, Creative Director, THEIA. “Quickly after hanging up the phone, I realized “Oh My God” how on earth can we do this in the midst of crazy last minute Fall collection preparations? Thankfully it all managed to come together not a second too soon.” Fabrics came via France and were approved by Carrie's team as well as a video production company as this dress would have images projected on it! This custom made platinum ball gown was created in 80 hours by 4 people and used 10 yards if satin as well as 100 yards of tulle and crinoline which gives this gown its structure. A corset constructed of thousands of Swarovski Crystals (another fab element that is so very THEIA) was also apart of this dress.

Throughout her performance of 'Blown Away' Carrie's dress showed images of butterflies, roses, gold, water, etc. Although she stood in place, it was a great way to show movement in a new way and to show the continued possibilities of utilizing LED and fashion!
