If you've been checking out your Twitter Feeds, you know that Comic-Con took over San Diego! With a number of people on panels, we had to take note of the uber stylish, Kerry Washington who was at the press conference panel to promote her new Quentin Tarantino film, “Django Unchained” with costars Walton Goggins, Don Johnson, Christoph Waltz and Jamie Foxx.

I fell in love with J. Mendel's full pleated floral skirt from his Resorrt 2013 collection. I love that she paired this fun skirt with a collared and sleeveless top from A.L.C. - who doesn't lover a femme look with a bit of edge on the side. I definitely love the apparel but I would tweak the accessories. Let's swap her red and purple belt which seems like a little bit of an after thought and pop on this black wide Lanvin bow belt. In addition, I find her heels to be a bit chunky but have fallen in love with a sleek stilleto that adds a twist to the rounded versus pointed toe debate - this boxed style by Giuseppe Zanotti. Slipping on this cigar ring adds another depth to the look by Melinda Maria. In terms of her beauty look, I love this high pony tail with a bit of a tease and a strong red lip is always a plus - I'm a huge fan of Dior Beauty and when it comes to a dark eye, I have been rocking Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero which is the perfect way to have rocker chic!

I think I would like the whole outfit more without the belt and the chunky platform pumps. A sleek stiletto pump like the Christian Louboutin classic “Pigalle” would have been a better choice, in my opinion.

She finished off with a teased ponytail and bright red lips.

As many of you know, I was in New Orleans at the end of last week for the Essence Music Festival at the My Black is Beautiful Booth which included a number of P&G brands! As a Brand Ambassador for Crest, I spent the day meeting a number of attendees and celebs that came through as I gave them accessories tips as well as explaining why Crest ensures that my best accessory, a white smile, is the perfect way to complete your outfit! I'll create an album and will update this post so that you can see all of the fun.

I love wearing white dresses and this linen dress from Miguelina which had intricate work . I paired that with a Virgins, Saints and Angels Magdalena Necklace which is always fun (I also paired it with one of my VSA rings as well as this stach of bracelets which can also be worn as necklaces - a fun way to bring in pearls) to bring ornate elements into the look. I also wore a number of pieces from Linea Pelle including this wrapped bracelet that you can see on my arm which incorporates orange and gold into the look as well as their fabulous Dylan Double Zipper Bag which I am obsessed with!!!. I capped off the look with my Ana Reign onyx ring! In terms of makeup, I'm all about keeping it simple and dynamic. I love that I on my cheeks not only do I have my usual bronzer that looks sunkissed but I also have Estee Lauder's Blush in Fearless (this can also be used as a lip color due to its formulation which is amazing).

I had such an amazing day that allowed me to meet a number of fabulous women, men and kids as well as to be embraced by the people of New Orleans who were super sweet and generous! I also loved seeing my fellow industry peeps such as Bevy Smith that I am pictured with who is always phenom no matter where you see her and as an Accessories Expert, I can say that she is always accessories approved! On another note, I love that I am more prone to wearing my sunglasses indoors than I am when I am actually outside!

At the beginning of the month, celebs hit the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards at Universal Studios in LA. It's definitely one of the more light hearted shows but I love that Charlize Theron didn't skimp on giving a wow moment when she wore this red ensemble by Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and jewelry by Dsquared crystal and studded pumps which are befitting for star! In addition, a fun triangular clutch from Simone Rainer which creates a playful look.Finally, why not add a statement necklace with Oscar de la Renta?

Over the past few days, we have all heard about The Queen's Diamond Jubilee which celebrates Queen Elizabeth's 60 years as the Queen of England. With a number of celebrations, this was a great way to check out a number of fashionable ways to rock a look while being respectful of the decorum that this series of events requires. Kate Middleton (picture courtesy of WENN.com), rocked out in this amazing Alexander McQueen pin dress at the River Pageant Flotilla. I have seen it worn by a number of celebrities and I love the way that Kate is wearing it. She paired this with one of her favorite go to shoes - the nude pump by L.K. Bennett.

I would complete this look with the fun and compact clutch by Nina which has a nice embellishment on the top of the clasp. I would also pair these Charriol champagne diamond and bronze drop earrings. Together this is such a fab look!

She grew to being one of my favorite characters on The Hills due to her laid back style and great advice, when she moved on to The City it was great seeing her practical nature being put to good use by working in the fashion industry in NYC from Elle to People's Revolution. Animal Print is always in season. It's a great way to keep it seasonless no matter what the time of year it is. I also love that for the girl who questions rocking this look, pairing it with black is always a fab choice. Wendy Williams (who I have loved since back in my visual merchandising days when I would hear her radio show while working in various workshops in creating windows. Rocking a motorcycle jacket with a chic dress is a fabulous look! Personally, I think that this jacket is a bit too edgy and would actually pair it with Ann Demeulemeester who does leather jacets with a feminine twist to it without losing the edge; moroever, not confusing this as a piece that you would wear if you were actually on a motorcycle. As you can see, Mingling Mondays is getting a bit of a facelift of sorts. Mingling Mondays will be about fab trends that are in season (which right now will be Spring Summer as we are in transition) worn by many of our fave celebs as they're out and about and not on the red carpet! Sandra Bullock hits the streets of New Orleans (image from US Weekly) and I'm loving that she's rocking a maxi (which has been a huge portion of my wardrobe in Spring and in Summer. I love that she's rocking it in a stripe that becomes a chevron at the top. Chevron is definitely a huge trend for this season and you can't go wrong within this black and khaki shade. I can't say that I'm a fan of having a north/south bag slung over her in a cross body style but I love that she personalized her look and took some of the volume out of this maxi by tying a knot in it - definitely a bit unexpected!

We've seen a number of celebs rocking maxis and I'm definitely loving Ella Moss' striped maxi which has the length that I love but also adds in a bit of a nipped in waist by having a romper element added in which allows a blousson effect! I love the wider straps as sometimes having skinny straps can dig in a bit. And when it comes to vibrant hues, Vince Camuto has this fabulous keyhole effect with a tangerine hue (hot off the runways of the spring/summer 2012 runway shows) that results in colorblocked chevron! I also love that the neckline has this natural collar which is like a necklace! In terms of rocking a cute bag, these dresses beg for clutches and an envelope style is the perfect item. One of the new neutrals which has been shown for a few seasons is this gorgeous yellow python clutch by Jil Sander. Together, this is the look of spring that will carry over into the summer!
