As I am spending my last days in DR, I'm soaking in 80 degree weather, spa services and working on my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection all in one place. Yes, I was up at the early portion of the morning (3am) to watch the Royal Wedding line up on E! but it's our last day of our two week run of Spring Break 2011! Throughout the past two weeks, I have shared phenomenal bikinis that are perfect for this season, summer and your holidays wherever they happen to take you. To end as well as we began, I present Beach Bunny Bikini Swimwear that involves the Kardashian's Collection! Who doesn't love the look of Python so of course I had to add one of my favorite cuffs from Ted Rossi as well as the woven wristlet from Bottega Veneta and ending it with this fabulous Moonstone Cocktail Ring by Sethi Couture! Love that everyone has enjoyed peeking in on some phenomenal suits!
Even though we're almost done with our Spring Break series, it's also time to start thinking about Mother's Day! You know that we're a fan of coffee table books and no one does it better then Assouline Publishing who has a number of topics that you're going to love! Of course as much as we love hearing about this, it's always amazing to add additional gifts to mom as she is phenomenal! So we continued the blue story with some of our favorite brands that are not shy about rocking this royal hue! You'll find Laura Geller which I have been rocking their baked line for awhile, Yves Saint Laurent's Mascara in blue as well as Jane Iredale's eyeliner! Of course, this could be super cute for you as well.
A few days ago, I received a super fab box that I had no idea would be heading my way. It's not to say that that is unusual since this is a normal occurrence. But when I realized it was from Dior I nearly swooned! I only wear Dior Show for my lashes as I love the look that it gives without giving you the need to double dip in order to look luxe even when you're just walking down the street. Dior sent me a collection of lipsticks from Dior Addict with the campaign that simply says, "Be Iconic" and of course that's how you feel when you're rocking the line. Love the hues, use of Kate Moss and having a number of items incorporated into the campaign including a kissable post card, stickers and red cherry Lifesavers.
Although I am not a lipstick fan per se, I know that I will be rocking these sticks from time to time. It made me think of other items that I have a healthy beauty obsession with and definitely want to try. As many of you know, Kitten Lounge is all about showcasing items that I love, have tried or think that it should be gifted to others. Rarely do I talk about items without personally trying it out and obviously, upon receipt I will follow up about this! With that said, the next three times are on my wishlist to trying out (even editors drool over products that they have only heard aboutt). Organix has a self warming Coconut Milk Sugar Cane Scrub. I believe in weekly exfoliation but having the warm sensation while doing so seems like something that I would love! A caviar scrub seems phenomenal and ever since I first heard of it upon its initial release, I know this is one that has to be tried and it's by Balenciaga! Finally, I'm a huge fan of Korres and while I am currently in DR, having an Aftersun Gel Yogurt is an essential as it instantly cools your face and body after being in the sun. In addition, the fact that there is real edible yogurt in it may be of note to those that truly want to enjoy all this product has to offer!
Sometimes when people are thinking colors they over look the power of beige! I got inspired the second I saw Indah Tachi's bikini in this fab shade. It's a fab color that looks fab on brown and tanned skin! In fact it's translucence is also quite illuminating. As we are in the last days of Spring Break 2011, it's important to also take into account the impact that this color has on beauty as well! Above are some fab items that you should keep thinking about to add to your beauty bounty including Jane Iredale, Bare Escentuals as well as Palladio! They're fab finds and they allow your skin to have that fabulously natural look with just a hint of something!
As you read this, I'm leaving NYC for a few days to head to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to design my second Sebago collaboration titled, Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12! With me heading to the beach (you know I have to get some in between the work), I can't leave my guys high and dry as we're in the second and last week focusing on Spring Break 2011! He looks phenom and any color can be his color when it's worn with confidence. He also loves accessorizing and dabbling! So we're loving when he rocks purple (it's a regal color) and with paisley to boot! When he hits the beach he does it in style and a man in leather is one that we can't deny! So as he rocks his Etrom make sure that he rocks two other leather goods that I'm loving right now! Tod's is more than just fabulous women's shoes line and this Charity Bracelet is fab and if he opts to leave it behind, you have something amazing that you can wear with your bikini instead! In addition, we're never far from drooling about Rebecca Minkoff and love that he can wear this and we can too! As I begin prepping for my trip to DR for tomorrow, without question, I know I will toss in my black bikini. No matter how much I love trying something new, there is something to be said for wearing that classic black bikini! Today, Vix hits Kitten Lounge and we think about the classic going out to meet your girlfriends. It's a time to dish, drink mojitos and of course to ensure that everyone knows that you have ultimate style! Complete the look by going super classic. I'm loving Kate Spade's half circle tote which can be worn with whatever you're wearing (even if it's not beach bound)! Pairing it with a large hat is so decadent! Wedges are a must for the summer and Badgley Mischka has a fab pair that will rock out this look. Finally, you know that I'm all about charm bracelets so let's make sure that we keep it fab by including this piece that integrates black and gold available at Max and Chloe.
On Wed, I head out to Santo Domingo to design my 2nd collection for Sebago in my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection. I'm uber excited to get in some fun and sun as well as to design the follow up to my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Fall 11 collection. With that said, I have a bikini for each day! I am a fan of many things and can't even list it as it would go on forever! That being said, I'm a huge fan of Rosa Cha! I have been for a number of years and who doesn't love a color palette of pink, black and white. This fab bikini would look amazing with this opal cocktail ring by Sevan Milky, fab blush wedges by Camilla Skovgaard and of course this fably adorned Helmut Lang Bunker Tote! It's yet another fab way to ensure that you're looking amazing no matter what global beach you're jetting to!
This Sunday's Snazzy Sundays continues our Spring Break 2011 theme! Sometimes you get inspiration for how something looks by something in a magazine or on a runway. But then again you may get an idea from your bikini! I'm loving Shoshanna as they're bringing in the fun Ikat print that everyone is rocking one way or another with their looks for yet another spring/summer season! There is something about white, turquoise, green and yellow coming together that makes everything bright as well as perfect for gatherings. We also love that it's still in keeping with the colors that we think about in terms of Easter as well! Follow the Ikat love by adding various hues that are found in the suit! I'm loving Haute House's Monroe Sofa which is so Miami chic and begs for color to be placed on it's cushions. For that, we get inspired by our fave Trink Turk pillows. Finally add some whimsy and bring in the sun with Perch Zooey Mini Chandelier Pendant Lamp. All are fab choices for a day/night in of keeping the season year around!
There is something about a stark white bikini on tanned, olive, caramel or any number of the gorg brown shades that many rock that makes you want to run to your nearest oasis! When you have an all white look in the summer, that's when I definitely get excited to wear gold. I don't wear this tone a lot but we all have our bling out moments and this is such a case. Vitamin A is one of my favorite brands as they always have such a fun suit that's perfect for your global beach destination. Of course, I'm charmed with Alex and Ani and this bunch of bracelets will not go unnoticed on your arm. Sunshine is all the rage so of course you always want to bring it with you to whatever global beach you're calling home! I'm loving ethnic prints and so Trina Turks' super cute bikini that's available at one of my first go to's for bikinis - Victoria's Secret - this is a must! With so many colors, people wonder, how should it be accessorized, keep it easy breezy and pick a color. I picked yellow where you could rock, Michael Kors' handbag which is perfect to tote everything from SoBe to Ibiza. Nothing is better than rocking a mutually ethnic flip flop by my fave, Havaianas and finally, keep it global and charitably chic by embracing this fab bead bracelet by Same Sky (find out how purchasing their pieces in various styles supports others that could use your assistance as you rock them out).
We're so all about the sun and protection and each of the four posts today have involved a giveaway component so our last post had to include this as well! It's super light and I can't remember how I ensured that my face was squeaky clean without it!

I may be heading to DR next week but it's for work I swear! I'll be designing my Spring 12 collection for Sebago! But don't think that I'm not thinking of the first vacation that Paul and I will be taking some point soon I hope! Yes we headed out to Austin as our first travel experience as well as to Philly - but once again work! So with that said I'm thinking of warm locales or his beauty bounty when it comes to taking a long weekend in the Hamptons! With that said, he loves beauty as much as I do and so why not have him decked out in some beauty product that would be perfect for him! Now I know that he's all about smelling phenom and I love Ginseng so Molton Brown is the perfect way to spice up some good things! When he hits the beach, he wants comfort and although I could think about all the themes I'm rocking in my look, his basics must be met. So we kept it super easy with "get me noticed shorts" from Vilebrequin, my favorite Havaianas by Michael Bastian, a hat (looking dapper in Paul Smith) to keep him from the shade and of course, rocking Mosley Tribes? Simple and he's able to head out for Beach Volleyball, laying out or swimming up to the bar! Of course this gives you the chance to rock his sunglasses and hat when he happens to be running around.
Spring Break 2011 looks kicked off yesterday and we're always dreaming of the next best thing in bathing suits. Now I am a bikini kind of girl - I love two pieces! So when I see a one piece that catches my eye, then of course I have to share it! I'm loving this Orange Tie Dye suit by DiNeila. It screams SoBe, St Barths, Rio and Negril just to name a few locales. This is definitely perfect for those cabana parties or events where it's seriously bathing suit only. We love the Spring because we know that it means we're pretty sure that the snow and severe dips in temperature are done! But the Spring is also a little up and down and makes us uneasy when it comes to how we're dressing! Everyday you get the opportunity to see things that I love but I felt that it was time to also bring together some of my favorite bloggers and influencers by introducing items within themes! From that second, Kimmie's Gimmies was born and since we're all thinking of warmer weather we're kicking off our Spring Break theme which starts next week by having an intimate group of fellow bloggers to see my pics in terms of my favorite place as well as items that are perfect for Spring Break! We arrived at Polished Beauty Bar on the UWS to get fab manis which is the perfect way to begin thinking about Spring Break. Obviously, I went to my stand by - Zoya's Indigo which is the perfect shade and everyone picked their fave colors! While we were getting pampered, we were able to not only get to know each other but owner and Celebrity Stylist of the salon, Susan Nam shared stories of shoots that she had been apart of and other fun facts. In addition, we were visited by one of our sponsors - Lush (on the UWS) so fun and who doesn't love it! Once we were perfectly polished, Susan shared how we can stay summer ready with our nails and explained what will keep our manis intact. With all that info, we had to delve into my top pics that were stuffed inside our fab bag!

Forget about the up and down weather that we have been having lately, we know that Summer will come to us or we will go to it! I can't lie that I am super excited to be heading to the DR later on this month for a few days to soak in some much needed sun! With that said, we may not be in college anymore but Spring Break reminds us of the times when we would pack up to fun locations where you only needed bikinis, maxis and more to be dressed for any and all occasions. Now this same theme reminds us to book our long weekends, take a week off and to also prep for consistently warm weather!
With that, we're super pumped to launch Spring Break on Kitten Lounge starting next week on April 18th - the 29th! You'll find out what bikinis we're loving, how to dress it up and you won't have to wonder what travel accessories and coverups are a must for your upcoming trips! We're loving the beach loving look of Seafolly and you'll be introduced to more brands coming up over the next two weeks so you're set for Spring and Summer! We'll have fun videos and more and I'll connect to you via Dominican Republic as I will be enjoying my own days away while designing my upcoming Spring 12 collection for Sebago! But a proper kick off would be nothing without a party!
