Today has been a hectic day but in the evenings I'm starting to go to dinners, birthday parties, holiday events and more. So even though the day is spent with me just keeping up with everything, I like the ability to go out to look like a million bucks. My outfits are always simple and of course, I love to pile on the accessories! Today, we're focuing on Free People's one shoulder dress which you can wear as a dress or with leggings if you're so inclined. Nothing is better (at least for me) than to have a solid color and then to pop in one of my favorite skins - python to add a little texture and to make the whole look pop! With all the things that our nations service men and women do, I hope that you think about their sacrifice and if you have the ability to do something, you should without a doubt on Veteran's Day!

As we battled dipping temperatures, last night in the Dubai Mall ice rink, Aiisha Ramadan (who we absolutely love) and Victoria Casal Jewelry had a 'Love Affair' fashion show that was held yesterday with attendees receiving cupcakes from Sweet Stuff based in Jumeira! Not only is this a great way to enhance the theme of the overall show but it was also a tasty way to end the event as well!

The show began with ice skater Natash Alexander Kemble cane out to a rendition of Nessun Dorma by opera tenor Andrew Amdur. Each dress from Aiisha was paired with Victoria Casal's jewelry and Manolo Blahnik shoes. No two sets of accessories were the same which created a dynamic look for everyone involved. This was a show that I truly wanted to attend and with such artistic drama, I hope to be able to come to the next. We have covered Aiisha's pieces as a gallery post and as a spread. Today's gallery of images (you know that we haven't done this in awhile so when we do, it's definitely a treat) are full of feminine whimsy and for those that will be in Dubai, you should visit the Sweet Stuff store as the cupcake (light and fluffy chocolate spongecake with icing made out of a unique butter cream and iced in a feminine, floral motif, topped with sprinkles) that everyone enjoyed last night will be sold for the next month!

I'm not going to lie, I have loved hearing about Coco Chanel from as early as I can remember! My first intro into having Chanel was receiving Chanel No 5 for my birthday then years later I bought a pair of reading glasses with the classic Cs on the frame. Of course, I saw a recent episode of Rachel Zoe where she went to Coco's apartment in Paris, if you haven't seen it, you should check out one of my favorite blogs, Fashion is Spinach which has some images of the icons apartment! Interesting enough a couple of years ago, various bloggers were invited to go to the famous Chanel store on 31, Rue Cambon to see the apartment. Since I will be going to Paris soon, you better believe that I will want to have this opportunity as well.

What do I love so much about Coco? She knew how to do classic elegance and did it well! The modern version of her classic notes can be done in the same ways that she made famous. So an update to her look which works well from running out with the girls, meetings with potentials and more can be achieved with black leggings. I'm loving the velour stirrups which can be paired with a number of items! I love this Elizabeth and James shirt as it has an edge but a lot of femininity as well! Cap it all off with some pearls - we all know this is a huge look within the world of Chanel. These sassy takes on pearls doesn't look like you simply took your grandmother's necklaces and will definitely complete your look!

When you're busting your butt and you're running all over the place, you need a second to come up for air. I find that it helps when I'm wearing something that's comfortable and not so confining. In my world of copious visits to various coffee houses, showrooms, lounges and more - I never know when a friendly chat turns into a fab business opportunity so my best bet is to be chic. With the changing of the seasons it can be a little difficult. One day I'm in full winter mode and the next I'm reminded that it's just fall. Whatever way you decide to bridge that gap (thin knitted caps are your best bet until it starts getting cold enough where you only see your breath), make sure that once your coat is off that you look transitional.

My biggest thing is in the accessories department, just because the weather has turned doesn't mean I still can't wear seashells - I'll just get some whose color is reflective of the season. I have this ring in a cream color that I got from the Dominican Republic; however, a dear friend @KarenRobinovitz, Creatrix of Purple Lab NYC told me that I should check out Mesi Jilly! Of course I realize that although I have yet to meet her, I am very familiar with her work as I have been drooling over it for a couple of years at least! I love that she takes the natural shell to another level and encrusts it with enough glitz to make me giddy!

So I have many days where I do "Kimmie old school" or I love to wear black as I do believe in the whole Audrey sense of style and although I know that the color palette extends beyond my faves (black, grey and cream), I am allowed to go back and embrace them anytime I want. LC by Lauren Conrad presents a fashionably classic approach to the Dolman sweater which also makes it perfect in terms of price point. Growing up, I remember my mom wearing these sweaters with a Calvin Klein jean and riding boots - interesting how it all comes back again except I'll reach for this TopShop jean which is not only a skinny but will have a few extra inches which will look fab with the Dolce & Gabbana snakeskin heels. As a side note, you can be super casual and once you throw on a heel with a little texture you come from coffee house to cute cafe or bistro in ten seconds. A lariat is a cute way to include a messy but uber classy look and this touch of golden essence is perfect for this outfit since it creates pops of vibrant color. Finally, complete the look with an awesome bag. As you know, I'm a huge fan of my Cole Haan woven bag. The shape is great and once again that texture is devine; therefore, how much more do you think I love this one by Jimmy Choo? I love the bangle that you can actually wear or let it stay as hardware and I like it has a hint of metallic as well.

When it all comes together, this look works well when you're running around all day (don't be shy if you feel the need to switch into flats - just make it snakeskin). If you get invited to a signing, drinks after work or anything of that nature, you don't have to think twice about what else needs to be done in order to fit in with whatever everyone else is wearing. The transitional look can be difficult in terms of the season but once you have that part taken care of, everything else falls into place!

When it gets super chilly, I'm not a fan of cold weather; however, I love outerwear for a few reasons. I love coats - if it has to be chilly then it's fun to wear them. Then there are times that you're running around all day and as opposed to your coat being a secondary, it's definitely a primary. The reality is that when you're running from place to place and shopping, you're coat becomes an essential. Recently, I found out about a line that is new to me, Mackage which makes coats for men (my boyfriend is obsessed with Bruce) and women. I love that this a-line coat has a cute neck embellishment. This would be perfect for me to run around to in showrooms, shopping and events. So to that end, it's essential that these looks become accessorized complete with over the knee booths (this is a must when I'm out and about and sometimes it's nice to have a flat boot as opposed to heels). Boots add a bit of an edge look but also a little Paris chic as well. The fingerless gloves are a nice way to add a bit of a rocker chic but when paired with the coat and shoes it's a look that looks like it was super easy to put together and effortless. Finally, it's all about the bag! I'm all about wearing dark colors in the winter but there has to be something which has a pop of color whether it's a scarf or a bag and to me, the bag is essential. This red croc bag is the perfect way to standout and to beat the blahs and greys that can take place once we've been in this weather pattern for too long.

I love thematic spreads! This one is definitely one of my favorites. I have a very laid back sense of style - I have yet to find the definition but it defintiely embraces my love for classic, casual items that can be worn virtually anywhere. I find that even when I'm not wearing something that is the trend of the moment, people still love what I'm wearing. When I attend certain events, I get a little inspired and love incorporating something new! Over the next few days, I will be attending a lot of album release parties and as many of them are either within rock or house, I definitely want to step into the part! I am a huge fane of Henrietta Duffner who has a gorgeous line that I have previously talked about; however, she has recently launched Swiss Affaire! This t-shirt line combines ideal comfort with a lot of sass and a night out at the clubs is the perfect destination. Now I kept it simple as the shirt is QUITE a statement (simple tee with cutouts). I would pair it with skinny jeans and heels but I would definitely look to my accessories (bigger is bolder) to bring out a bit more of the rock look while also bringing in a femmey quality. I have been a huge fan of Stephen Dweck and his smokey quartz ring has a bit of vintage which works well with Lois Hill's cuff! A touch of sweet femme comes with Kendra Scott's piece. This look is hot without going over the top. It combines sterling silver with natural stones which is the essence of what I wear in accessories and if you have to run in and out somewhere you can always grab a pashmina or motorcycle jacket to complete this look! I love this super chic look!

I love hump days! It's the middle of the week and a great benchmark to see what has been worked on and what can still be done with a few days ahead! As Editor in Chief of Kitten Lounge, I get an amazing opportunity to see a lot of great products and to interact with so many great showrooms, brands, designers and so much more. While in Vegas in August, I was so happy to meet Casey of Hudson Jeans (she does their Social Media and various elements of marketing) and to walk with her at ENK Shows Vegas. With so many days hitting all the shows, I started to embrace my love for the maxi dress, Ted Rossi cuffs (I never travel without a number of them), large cocktail ring and of course a cute necklace. It's the act of styling a simple look to show my personality and to present an effortless look whether I'm walking the red carpet, tradeshows, showrooms or wherever I happen to be! I'm obsessed with accessories and I love large pieces. I brought a little of a boho-chic Grecian vibe to everyday that I was at the shows (you would too if it was 100 degrees). As I walked around people asked if I styled (especially when I told them I had just completed an episode of the reality show, To Be a Star, where I was the Style Mentor/Judge for aspiring models who were learning about the importance of having a look. Although I have worked with a select group of people, work with a few showrooms in the city and have been called in on a photoshoot - it wasn't something that I really thought I was doing. But the fact of the matter is that there is no better reward than showing someone how they can take elements of their style and add to it to create an enhanced look! Sometimes keeping it simple is nice! It's felt like a long week and I've been hitting a lot of events. As much as I love my traditional tee, jeans and heels - I love my graphic tee and jeans as well! So today, I kept it casual with a simple necklace (the knot necklace can be casual or definitely dress up your look), cocktail ring (if you're going to do it - it's got to be big and I love the grren Amethyst), a cuff and my tee. I'm a huge fan of Sailor Jerry. I love the inspiration behind the line and when this Philly based - family owned company was in Vegas during the shows for Magic, they threw an awesome party! With 10 years under their belt, they headed to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and had amazing performers! I have to say that they were one of my two favorite parties that week (the other one being the Hudson Jeans party). To understand how amazing the brand is, check out their site, try their rum as it's really good and head to the store! From time to time they have live bands that play within their store and the environment has such positive energy! I have yet to go but have plans this fall and hope they keep me in the loop on future events! For now, this tired chica has some trailblazing to do and can't wait until it's the weekend!

Since I got back from Vegas (last Sat) I started seeing fall everywhere. The temperatures are significantly cooler, last night I hung out with a friend that talked about movie nights and apple cider and this morning clinched it - I smelled fall! This time last year, I remember covering Fashion Week and still wearing my "best of summer" looks but it seems that this will not be what I'm wearing this season to the shows or Fashion Night Out. Where did the summer go and why am I not sad that it's passed? I'm no fan of winter but the fall with boots and layers that can be done in a sexy way are a huge plus for me! Boyfriend cardigans aren't only comfy but they can defintiely be done in a femme way so I decided to post one of my first "ode to fall" articles. Leggings are a sure way to make sure that you don't look frumpy when you start layering and are a great alternative to wearing skinny jeans (although I will totally rock my Hudson Jeans). This is my favorite look - a femme top, a large ring, layered necklaces and awesome boots! The Marc Jacobs boots have a fun heel if you look carefully and I love that when I'm not feeling like a tall heel, I can still wear this and look completely put together. I'm still at the shows here in Las Vegas meeting with designers, owners and more! I'm happy to say that I have found a lot of designers that I will be presenting to you over the next few weeks! Yesterday I met a designer that is literally someone that I loved every piece of the collection. Daddy's Favorite is an amazing lounge, lingerie and even "out and about" line. When it comes to luxury, you will find it here! Now why is this known as a tease? I was able to get a sneak peak of what is coming for Spring and they looked absolutely amazing as they were South Beach perfect for cabanas, cocktails and more. What is the inspiration behind the line? Mariam, the owner loved her mother's bathrobe and decided to make a line that was not only comfortable but fashionable. She knew that we hate to wear robes that we have to adjust to ensure that it stays together; moreover, we need to have sleeves that don't get in the way so that we can wash our face and do our makeup. In addition we love robes but we don't want to be frumpy! The Bohemian Rhapsody is the beginning of an amazing collection that only gets more amazing as we continue into the next season! This robe is such a fashion statement that I wants to share how it could be worn when lounging at home. So today, I'm out and about taping my reality show which you will know more about as we get closer to the air date! I'm super excited to be out but it also makes me think about the fact that the more errands you have, the more you have to have comfort! So on days where it's super hot go easy! Less can be a lot more in many cases. This dress is super easy and is one that you'll notice with a great shape and a fab hue. Pair this with one of my favorite shoes (when I'm not wearing heels) these chandelier shoes are a staple at Victoria's Secret and yes they have a version of it in heels - yes I own a pair in that style too! As a side note, they look great with leggings, dresses and yes - jeans. To wrap it up, sometimes it's so hot that you want to pair the accessories down and in this instance, how about a nice ring like this one by Max & Chloe? I love that it's not super matchy matchy since there are various tones of Carnelian! What a great way to look pulled together and ready for whatever the day will bring! I have known about Eva Varro for awhile and what I love most about her are her simple lines with bold styles. For those of you that haven't see her pieces, you simply have to look at Hollywood and you'll see her there from Eva Longorio, Jane Seymour, Meryl Streep (in a key scene of Mama Mia) and more! Whether you gravitate towards her solid colors or prints that are within the same vein of Pucci, Eva Varro knows how to have a great look that looks fab with various body types! A happy puppy is one that is loved and cared for. To me, it’s one who gets tons of hugs, gets to sit with you on his favorite part of the couch and when he’s out and about – it’s always in style. I don’t have a puppy but am getting one very soon. So for now I obsess over one of my very good friend’s and sister’s puppy. Both have Yorkies and yes, I want one as well! Jimmy Choo is over a year and is my sister’s puppy. He has so much life and is a dog that hasn’t figured out he’s a puppy. He just knows that he has a lot of energy and his auntie (that would be me) buys him cute fashionable accessories such as last Christmas when I bought him a braided leather leash from Cole Haan! I wanted him to be that chatter of her local dog park! So when it comes to accessories, I’m a huge fan of Cole Haan. The leathers are superb and I even like this Madras inspired leash as well which is perfect for the summer (oh yes you should have a seasonal leash and then one for special occasions). I also love when puppies have clothes from time to time. I know that this is definitely more for me then the puppy as I don’t think that they’re a fan; however, if you can get them in a photo with something like this Ralph Lauren polo – how cute is that? Of course if you get your boyfriend to wear the same thing – that’s just too cute! Finally, if you want cute things and to stay in the know, you HAVE to check out Sugar Chic Couture – this is a sushi meal fit for a puppy and fully edible with wasabi to top it off! One of the things that I love most about what I do is being able to learn about new designers. It's not just finding out about them but realizing that I have had the fashionable "ah ha" moment where I know I have met a line that my closet is incomplete without! This took place when I was introduced to Henrieta Duffner (yes she is the one modeling her own line) and realized that if she does come here for Fashion Week, then this would be one that I wouldn't want to miss! In addition, her Summer collection was so clean and yet dynamic that I can't wait to see what her next season will look like. I love that this does have a mix of Old Hollywood and Audrey Hepburn while adding something very new and distinctive. What are my favorites? There's no way that I could even pick one! If you're going to an event, brunch or anywhere where you feel that you need to turn heads, then this is the collection that will do it without making you look like you have tried too hard to do it!

You'll see a lot of spreads that are within the "beach theme" from now until early September (bday is Sept 12th). This is mainly due to the fact that I will be celebrating my 30th birthday in South Beach - complete with cabana, some fun rooms for my guests at the Loews Hotel and more. Yes I will be missing a few days of South Beach but I couldn't think of a better place to enjoy sun and to get out of the city for awhile. Of course, this made me think of having the perfect outfit for my big night but also earlier in the day as I will be in my bathing suit. As many of you know, last year Vogue Italia had an amazing issue with a variety of gorgeous black models within the page. This was such a ground breaking issue and one that sent many of us running all over the city or begging someone to pick it up from a magazine stand! That issue was the only magazine that I decided to keep and it still sits on my shelf! So I was pleased to find out that Vogue Italia had another issue in July of this year that is extremely coveted. Along with Barbie turning 50 (if you haven't seen the Malibu House oh yes the real one or the runway shows, then you need to check it out) the insert magazine of July's issue within Vogue Italia has a Barbie spread using black Barbies! I have always loved Barbie and I had over 92 in various shades, hairstyles and more. To see Barbie in couture editorials is definitely an issue that will have me running all over the city to find it again as I can only hope that someone has it! This year, we have all been able to see a lot more of Ms Anna Wintour and this fall, there is a movie that goes behind the scenes and to the Editor in Chief herself to learn more about her and her vision for Vogue. As of two weekends ago, I pretty much work out in Aerie (this is a great brand from the brainchild of American Eagle) only! I love that it's fashionable and if you live in Long Island and are near Roosevelt Field Mall, you should pop in as there is an entire store that just has Aerie in it (can I say I love the swimwear and coverups too)! I got hooked when I was with a friend in Chicago and saw that they had great discounts and the pieces were super comfortable! From then on, I have been going into the store buying more pieces that are perfect for yoga, pilates or just hitting the machines. I'm so excited to temporarily break from our normal fashion lineup to share information about a friend who is launching an amazing site that is being launched with it's first focus: Project Detox. We may be in different life stages but all of us juggle a million balls at once and we may find that one of two things happen - we have no time to simply breathe or our personal/business goals seem to go on the back burner. Maybe you're all about your day job as you love a challenge, but when you leave the office, you're running to do your second gig - where you hope to become a pastry chef full time! These are situations that we have to deal with and I feel that it's important to share these issues on the site from time to time. I wanted to introduce a soon-to-launch blog about infusing balance into every day life which is filled with philosophies that I share.

Recently my friend Keren, who has worked within the beauty and fashion industry for over a decade and who has worked with amazing brands like L'Oreal Paris to styling for Celebrities and Photo Shoots, told me that she wanted to provide insight into what it means to have the elusive life balance whether you're running multiple companies or are balancing being a mother who works full time but still wants to achieve a number of goals. Throughout various posts, Keren's Journey will include her week away, where she will travel to various spas in the west coast in Arizona and California and they will be included within future Trendy Thursday posts to include within our beauty segment. I'm so excited to bring Keren in as a Guest Life Balance Editor, here on Kitten Lounge! As someone who works in the fashion industry, is a mother and comes with a lot of experience and know how; however, she is pulled in a million directions and is 'off-balance'. It took her hubby and son traveling overseas for her to not only take some much needed Me Time to travel but to finally get her interests on the table as well. Sure it’s only 7 days, but in Mommy Years--where one hour of Me time is like a full day massage B.K. (Before Kids)--this trip will feel like a lifetime and be life changing!

Step Four: Chuck-out before you Check-in.

Chuck the Universal Mommy Guilt at the airport & know that your little one's perspective of Mommy Years offsets your own. One hour of quality time with the Real you is better for him than 2 full days of being with the stressed, busy & overworked version

Oh man! I’m beginning and ending my summer with a bang! We’re kicking it off with a Lobster Broil at the house and we will end the summer with a big bash – my 30th birthday in South Beach at my favorite hotel, Loews! Oh yes this is going to be an amazing summer (I’ll totally bypass the fact that we have had quite a bit of rain). So with that said, how do I dress for a party that’s at home with friends that begins early and goes to the wee hours of the morning? I’m all about the maxi dress – it’s stylish and comfortable and gives you so many possibilities whether you go with bold colors, stripes, etc. I love this dress and it’s available at Victoria’s Secret (another one of my favorites for day wear). With this bold color and simple look, I’m able to add my accessories to really let me stand out as the hostess of the party. With the high neck, I love a simple choker, such as Christofle's 925 piece available on Vivre, that doesn’t fight with my look and yet doesn’t make my neck look completely naked. I love Max & Chloe's large cuff and this hammered one is perfect to add a bit of the earthy vibe and of course the ring – you know I love a pop of color! If my trip did anything, it would be putting me in the right frame of mind for future trips to warm locales! Yes NY is decent in terms of temperatures but I wish it felt the way it did in SoBe. With that said, I'm going through a major renovation in my closet. I am going to embrace color (I have always preferred gray and black - but why should I be so limited and different bodies. I have recently become a fan of yellow and love green as well. Now every now and then I still love black so why not something like this? I love Roberto Cavalli's kimono/tunic style and paired over white pants, it comes off as crisp. Black shoes take on a whole new twist with these DSquared2 platforms. I love the angle of the heel and how it is an accessory in its own right! As always, I'm a fan of Ted Rossi - the eel clutch, super cute! Finally, Dannijo Harley is new to me but this silver plated cuff is perfect to add a bit of edge to this whimsical meets dancing queen look! I don't care that we have some amazing days and then a few crappy rains that hit us! We have to bring the sunshine with us everyday no matter what's going on seasonally or in life in general. With that said, I had to turn to some inspiration as I'm in desparate need to find a great summer bag and of course, I have to start with Jimmy Choo to decide how I will focus my wardrobe around it. I am in love with the Saba Suede Handbag in Sun! I love the African bangle which definitely adds an interesting twist to this piece while also being the perfect item to wear on your wrist. How easy it is to throw some items in here before running off to brunch, to visit a friend or (dare I say) go to work? This looks amazing with jeans and flouncy skirts and is definitely something that I wouldn't mind adding to my collection.
