I am in a love/great dislike feeling at this time of the year. I love Spring because the temperature starts to get warmer, you can do a lot more outside (walking, hanging out, enjoying a drink or two) and you're only moments from Summer. But I don't like the flip flop nature of this weather. You're always unsure of what to wear, you can't really pack everything from winter as every now and then Spring seems to take two steps back and so many times you're either under/overdressed. It makes finding things to wear a bit difficult. People ask me what I wear when I'm out and about. The Spring is all about layering. You never know when you're going to be in a warm office or a chilly one and since a lot of my work has me in showrooms planning, consulting or just listening, I have to be comfortable. Although we're not quite in flip flop season yet, you'll find me in various types of cardigans and swing jackets. I love the cardigan above because it's a soft cashmere, it drapes and it had a hood! It's a way to have that fab hoodie without looking like you you just fell out of your dorm room (we are adults after all). I'm also the queen of tanks so although grey is one of my fave colors to wear, it's nice to pop in color.
Even my best planned days still have room for changes here and there. You never know if you're going to grab drinks, meet up with friends or reconnect with someone you saw earlier and once again that's when I always have a great pair of heels to slip into as this look would be worn with my skinny jeans or my leggings. To finish it off, I love this chunky necklace by Kelly Haas as it plays with proportion and plays up my simple tank and of course, you have to have a the eye popping ring and at Kitten Lounge, we're a fan of Mesi Jilly. The pearl in the ring is an homage to the classic sense of dress but the coral and the fact that it's in a large shell definitely makes it modern and fun! Love the look and you won't be caught in the mix with this fab look!
