Last night ABC's American Music Awards took place last night celebrating 40 years of music as well as honoring this year's nominees! How can you not love Kelly Rowland's look on the red carpet? She hit the carpet rocking this Geometria inspired Naeem Khan piece from their 2012 collection! I love the simplicity with mirrored embellishments as well as the peek-a-boo effect that it brings. We'll update the rest of her look but we would accessorize with these fabulous finds!

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Jimmy Choo and I love how these shoes have fabulous crystals on them as well as picking up elements from the dress. The crisscross pattern is the perfect way to pick up the details of the dress. Big bling should definitely incorporate the elements of this dress and Ippolita is a fabulous find. As I believe in mixing metals and want to continue with the Geometria look of this ensemble, how about including this diamond ring in rose gold from Bloomingdale's? Together, it's another way to make this look fabulous from top to bottom! I love that this outfit is the perfect bridge piece! Although I don't think it's as dressed up as a traditional red carpet dress, I do love that for this awards show where attendees have a wider range of expression, this look is perfect for the after parties that she will head out to when the ceremony is over! I love that there is a tribal element to this look and that this is a great look for her and as always she has a great natural glow to complete the look!

Now that I am back from New Orleans, I am so excited that I am back to one of the many projects I work on, decorating the house and Kitten Lounge Lofts! With that being said, I was looking through previous years' Elle Decor and found this room that has white and lime colored accents! A great way to infuse an amazing color, is always through glassware! I'm loving these Bormioli Rocco sets that include tall and short glasses. I love how easy they fit within your hands. When it comes to snacking on items, Marimekko has an amazing platter that will be the perfect place for pita chips. Bring aromatic smells in your home with this Kosta Boda lime votive. I'm loving the whole colored leggings and jeans which are so much fun to wear! I'm loving the turquoise jeans by Topshop which are complemented by this fabulous yellow Tibi tank top which is such the look right now. Pair this with fun bangles from Aqua which compliment this vibrant look. Loving topping this look off with a scarf such as this one by Echo Design. Finally, I've been obsessing over Chloe since I have this fabulous pair of sunglasses by this designer that look very much like this but are in gold. Of course my wedge love continues with these fabulous tan shoes which become a stable for whatever look you're rocking!

Later on today is the big game in my hometown! I would have loved to have gone back for the Super Bowl but then I think about the fact that Fashion Week is this week and I realize there is a lot to do! What I love about today is that you can enjoy normal Sunday activities such as a decadent brunch and then party it up for the game of the year. There's no excuse not to enjoy both! For those of you that are wondering what you will do to pull off your brunch segment, keep it simple! It's all about having nibbles placed on plates throughout your apartment - I'm loving Sur La Table's Kotobuki Flowing Brushstrokes Sushi Plate which allows you to use them to create little gathering spaces. For those that are looking for extra places to sit, you can't go wrong with CB2's floor cushions which make everything so much cozier. Salon Tea's The Lover Chocolate Chai Tea is a natural aphrodisiac (so you can also use this as a special evening treat)

THE LOVER Chocolate Truffles (Makes approx. 24)

Ingredients:

· 2/3 heavy cream

· 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (cut into pieces and softened)

· 2 tablespoons of THE LOVER tea-chocolate Chai tea leaves

· 6 oz finest bittersweet chocolate, chopped

· 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Recipe:

Combine the cream and butter in a small saucepan and bring to boil. Stir in the tealeaves. Remove from heat and let steep for 3-5 minutes.

Put chocolate in a bowl and strain the cream mixture through a sieve over the chocolate: discard the tealeaves. Whisk the chocolate and cream mixture together until smooth, chill for approx. 2 hours until mixture is firm.

Dust your hands with a bit of cocoa (or cinnamon) then use your hands to roll the chilled chocolate mixture into balls.

Use 1 to 1 ½ tablespoons of chocolate mixture for each truffle. Drop the truffles into the cocoa, turn them until they’re lightly coated, and then place them in an airtight container. Store them in layers separated by wax paper.

Although I have used beauty and accessories to establish the tone of your decor, there are times when decor inspires decor! I have been obsessed with this Louisa Settee couch available at Anthropologie for weeks. Partly because my sister loves her blues and also because I love a number of the hues that run through this couch that allows you to play with color within your home. This color is fab for your living room as you can include this fab lamp available at Horchow and can either maintain the classic look of your apartment or allows you to pop in a fun modern element for a chic apartment. Set your table in the dining room with the playful colors by adding in napkins in a fab navy available at Kohl's or visit Bloomingdale's fun crisp blue hue by Thomas for Rosenthal in Sunny Day with their fun dinnerware.

When it comes to outfitting your kitchen or bringing in this room into your living room with Le Creuset's teappot which has a fab whistle. If you have yet to check out the lookbook for my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection, it came out earlier this week. With a number of fun shoes from my collection, it also looks at my faves. One area that didn't get highlighted was the makeup look that was created. I use a number of amazing products everyday and a photoshoot is a nice way to put everything you love using, would love to use and have ever thought about together. First off, I started using (in my shade of course), Dior's Nude Creme Gel Pack. I have been a MAC Studio Fix N9 girl since my college days so using this was definitely different; however, I was introduced to this foundation when I hosted the Pretty Party with Dior, Lucky Magazine and Bloomingdale's back in the summer. I love how light it feels on your face and how there is a bit of moisture in there as well.

I never go outside without using Laura Geller's Blush N Brighten and since I was the makeup artist for myself on this shoot, I had to pop it in there. Laura Mercier is new to my collection. Recently they sent me portions of their holiday line which will be included within our Holiday Gift Guide which will be available next month but I had to use the eyeliner for the shoot as I love that it had an extra pop of glimmer and once again, I have been a long time user of Urban Decay 24/7 so I was excited and thrilled with the results of this liner! Continuing on the eyes, I used Rimmel in charcoal as I love using this shade on my eyes and it never disappoints. Finishing off with Dior Show for Mascara ensures that my lashes are extra long and I loved using my new Avon Extra Long Lasting Lip Gloss in a fab berry/pinkish shade! I just finished shooting something fun with them and will let you know much more about it when I can! Together it created the look that you can see in the lookbook which is perfect from day to night.

Last month, Kimmie's Gimmies partnered up with Bloomingdales, Lucky Magazine and Dior Beauty for a fun event with bloggers and influencers. Now being someone who has loved Dior Show Mascara for a number of years after hearing a suggestion from someone whose makeup was also phenom, I was hooked. Of course I have a few of the bronzers, shadows and lipsticks but the event made me fall in love with a number of items that I am on the verge of getting OR that I have been using everyday! First off, the skincare from Dior is SO worth it. I love the Cleansing and Purifying Milk and love that it leaves my skin so soft! Especially when I'm on HSN and you're doing a number of segments in a day which is a lot of makeup being put on - this makes my face a clean slate without taking away the nutrients!

When it comes to making my eyes pop with mascara, I still use Dior Show but under it I use this primer which really makes it pop and provides nutrients which is essential. For my lips, I LOVE the Lip Glow which creates a tint naturally on your lip based on your chemistry and makes it kissably soft. In addition, the Maximizer is a powerful plump without that plump feeling you get that can feel like a zinger. As you know, rarely do I highlight one brand within a spread but these are my personal musts and they have quite a bit more that I have been adding to my Sephora Makeup Train Case!

Currently, I'm prepping to go to today's Gold Cup in Virginia which is analogous to the Kentucky Derby!
