Even though I can't complain about our winter at the moment, I am definitely looking forward to the Spring! There's something about wearing lighter coats until eventually, you're not wearing a coat at all which puts an extra bounce in your step. The week before last, I headed over to TJ Maxx's Spring preview which showcases what they have in their stores from a number of fun blazers, maxi dresses and more! I have to say that I fell in love with a pink Cynthia Rowley blazer, Alice + Olivia shoes (pictured above) and more! In addition to a number of pieces within their stores being straight from the runways of your favorite brand, I loved that they shared fabulous trends that are dominating the season - many of them being ongoing classes! I loved this Black and White group as I love wearing these hues together - very chic! When putting your look together, it comes from a number of sources that allow your outfits to truly pop.
When it comes to traveling at a moments notice, I have become the queen! I love that in my lingerie bags I travel with necessities as when I land, I hit the ground running between segments, swinging my brands and styling a client all while having my must haves tucked in my carry on! I am a believe that when packing, you need to know that you have some basics. The other evening, I went to Pamela Pekerman's Accessorize for Wellness which showed all the musts haves that we need to be fit and look great whether we're at the gym or simply running around with friends! She shared Yummie Tummie with us! As you know Yummie Tummie was founded by Heather Thompson who is currently on Bravo's Real Housewives of NY! She has such a cute personality and interestingly enough, when I was on HSN back in March I had a quick second to chat with her as Robert Verdi was on with his sunglass line, I went on next as the spokesperson for Sebago and then Heather was on chatting up Yummie Tummie. I always love seeing Robert outside of Fashion Week madness and Heather is every bit as gorge as you would suspect). I can say that I have been a fan of her shapewear for years and love the tank and pantie that was gifted! When I do segments, it's nice to know that you're always looking amazing and that whatever you've nibbled is not peaking out on camera!
When I'm not on camera or fitting into a very slim dress, I also love having my Commando underwear. These ensure that you don't have lines which is always pesky and not cute by any means! I'm also obsessed with the depth of Hollywood Fashion Secrets which has a huge line from tape to keep yourself in place, silicone cover ups and more - there are no excuses for a wardrobe malfunction! Finally, Cynthia Rowley is back again with her fabulous collaboration with Band-Aid available at Birchbox! Just in time for summer, we all find that we may have had a little too much summer fun and at least this lets us heal quick with fun colors!
Together, all of this fits in my lingerie bags which ensures that I never forget them! Lola Haze is known for their lingerie line; however, I never travel without my bag as I like to place my lingerie as well as must haves in my luggage!
Ever since Paula Patton rocked canary yellow on the red carpet during the Golden Globes - I have been looking for ways to bring this hue into my wardrobe. Now many of you who are connected to me on Facebook or on Twitter weighed in on Paula's bold look when I shared a way that one could wear it in a super cute short style by Cynthia Rowley. Some said that the color was still bold and that accessories definitely should be used to tone the color down. Today I present a muted yellow that is also layered with a grey tank. I am known for wearing tanks year around and am able to do so in the colder season by having layers! I love the burnout jersey tanktops by T by Cut 25. I would pair this over jeggings by Black Orchid Thunder (loving the side zips which add a little sass) and of course, I can stay warm by rocking T by Alexander Wang. The best thing about this cardigan is it travels well and it has a hood which will always keep you looking chic. Mixing the yellow and grey together ensures that any bold color you were concerned about - no longer becomes a problem.
Slip on these fab boots from Report (as you know that I am a huge fan of their shoes especially their thigh high boots - love the pair I have in brown) which will complete the look. I ADORE Melanie Georgacopoulos pearl and chain necklace mixing sweet and edgy together and adding a fun layer into the overall look. Effy Collection has a fun ring which is perfect for this laid back look whether you're catching a flight, popping into meetings or running errands. Slip on these stacked pyrite bracelets by Lisa Freede and end the entire look with Fendi's gorgeous satchel bag which adds another yellow but is playful and whimsical.
My savvy Kittens know that we introduced you to Birchbox last week! But we wanted to let you know that they were so excited about their July box which was a Cynthia Rowley x Birchbox curated collection that they wanted to extend that opportunity to you! Get in on a great way of boosting your beauty bounty and you can start off with getting the coveted Cynthia Rowley box. Sign up for July and enjoy getting amazing finds every month!
There are a number of sites that allow you to pay a membership of sorts so that you can get an amazing assortment of products that are perfect for you whether they're shoes, jewelry etc. I have to say that Birchbox has become my favorite site. You have the option between paying a monthly fee of $10 or an entire year for $110 with bonus points to receive oversized deluxe sample size beauty products. By providing info via a survey you can accrue points towards obtaining full sized product.
Now people will love this concept as they perceive samples as the perfect item to try out new product that they have yet to try. But I LOVE it because as someone who is constantly jetsetting whether I'm at HSN, designing collab lines or doing other segments, having the sample sized items allows me to ensure that I will have the perfect amount of items that are TSA approved. Above, are images from my box in June which include a sample of Kate Spade's Twirl, Pangea Organic's Facial Toner, Laura Geller's Baked Blush (which I have been using for years and love that this was a full product) and Deborah Lippmann's The Stripper To Go for Go-Go Girls which is a fab lavender nail lacquer remover. Fab packaging and items that I'm either a huge fan of or those that I am glad that I got a chance to try out. I also love that this curated box was focused on perfect travel items and as I just got back from Dominican Republic yesterday, this came in handy! You can also visit the site to find out how to videos, trend articles, photoshoots and to get the items that you love for purchase.
You can get in on the fun and for July, Birchbox is launching their collaboration with Cynthia Rowley who designed their July Birchbox and curated the contents with her favorite beauty must-haves. The box is still available to consumers who sign up to be a member by June 30th! As a fan of Cynthia Rowley, I'm loving that she has included her custom design nail strips by Incoco, AHAVA's Placid Bath Salts in Green Apple as well as their Dead Sea Mud, Lather Bamboo Lemongrass Body Scrub, Lather AHA Hand Creme with Evening Primrose and Tweezerman Zip File. Such a fab way to get introduced to Birchbox!

Growing up in the midwest, I couldn't wait to finally come to the beaches of the east coast to spend copius days hanging out on the beach. I practically lived there and as I began hitting the Jersey Shores, then moving on to the islands, I knew that I could never be too far from the ocean. There's something relaxing about it and as I grew up, it was less about me running and jumping into the water. It was about bringing various events to the beach from laying out, having parties, etc. I have to say that I have seriously increased my beach wardrobe and now that I live in Long Beach, I enjoy watching the style of of those who visit and residents (much like when I go to SoBe - I love seeing how people dress up at the beach and oh yes, I'm one of them). So today, I bring you a semi active and snazzy beach approach. I have more bathing suits then I can count and yet, I continue to increase my collection. Casa Bikini has amazing suits of various colors and styles and I think my birthday suit (no seriously my birthday is Sept 12th and I will be in a cabana in South Beach and I absolutely love this bathing suit) will have to come from here. I love these Brazilian bathing suits and speaking of Brazil, a handbag designer that is new to me Brazilian designer, Flavia Sarno has AMAZING handbags and I'm a fan of her clutches (can't wait to include it within future spreads). I think having a gorgeous tote and a cute clutch is an absolute necessity. During the day, you must enjoy these handmade, Mother of Pearl flip flops from Bohemian Babe - based out of Hong Kong. This is perfect for walking about on the beach! For night or throughout the day in the cabana, I have to say that Jimmy Choo's Penelope is a great look! I think a bit of that 70's glam is perfect with a bathing suit and elongates the leg! To complete this fab look, I love this hook necklace by Cynthia Rowley that is apart of her Fashion and Accessories collection for Resort 2010! What a great way to have the glowing goddess look with these pieces! As always, click on the links in the spread and let me know how you head off to the beach!
So Sarah Conley and I (Style It Online), made our way from the tents to West Chelsea to see Cynthia Rowley's show! In attendance were members of Gossip Girl. I wasn't able to confirm who was there but I saw the excitement on Sarah's face and knew that it was them. The show took place within a lofted space and although it is not completely visible through this video, I loved seeing the runway having a large clock on it. The hands actually moved throughout the show and all the music had the sound of a ticking clock in it as well! This was definitely an interesting factor. Here is footage of the show!
