Notes from Paris is a series of posts from Valerie Nahmias, Beauty Editor of Femina Magazine in Paris. Brought together by our mutual friend and fashion photographer, Franco Lacosta, her posts will be featured each month bringing us her insights on beauty from products to fabulous tips! Last time, Valerie talked about the focus of Gucci by Gucci Sport! Today she lets us how the Rochas House went through a refreshing phase for it's 40th.

Nothing will be more enchanting than to wear the first interpretation of Eau de Rochas this summer…
Did the mythical fragrance needs an interpretation? No. But she celebrates her 40 years this year and the Rochas House saw here a delicious opportunity to refresh her scent. They asked the great perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez to revisits the sublime essence.
What's more normal than to cool this lady quarantenaire? Every year, every summer the hot season inspires the brands to compose younger sisters to their most beautiful smells. Except The Chanel's First Water – Eau Premiere de Chanel, very alluring and bright performance of the N° 5, the tries are often missed.
But here, Jean Michel takes us to the big blue Mediterranean sea. The flavor explode tonic notes of bergamot orange and lemon, and we inhale the chic of the blue iris's root. The aroma of green tall grass comes just after, cut in summer and dried in the fresh air, to make us feel sensual and alive. Beautiful.
Eau of Rochas Fraîche, Rochas, 42 € 50ml
