Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Halle Berry

Versace hit the red carpet and had the best person who could wear this black and gold dress with a nod to geometria, Halle Berry! When asked what made her say yes to the dress, she explained that since she was involved in presenting the award for the James Bond Tribute and she wanted to personify the Bond Girl and that this dress did it! Without a doubt, this dress proves that you can have a sexy and body conscious dress that looks amazing without the concern of wardrobe malfunctions. We know that Halle has an amazing style and body and you too can rock her beauty look which combined Revlon (Halle is the Global Brand Ambassador) and Chanel.

Kara Yoshimoto Bua, CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist, created a soft and feminine look with bold eyes and a colorful cheek to complement her Versace dress. “I kept Halle’s look pretty casual and tonal, yet still glamorous, to complement the striking look of the dress,” said Bua. “I focused on the eyes and added some shimmer for dimension. Halle is presenting the Bond tribute award, so that was kind of the theme for the entire look.” Bua's look can be found below.

Mingling Mondays ~ Oscar Glitz & Glam

Last night many were glued to the 83rd Academy Awards whether it was watching Red Carpet coverage and/or the show itself. While many debated about the format of this year's show lead by Anne Hathaway and James Franco, I was pleased to see a number of phenomenal looks as well as fully styled with fabulous accessories. Of course, no coverage is complete without listening to Joan Rivers on E! Online's Fashion Police but for now enjoy our top pics.

This year blush, oyster and cream rocked the red carpet. Although these colors are amazing, they can be hard to wear when you think about the lighting and also the skin tones of those wearing the pieces. Obviously, Halle Berry looked phenomenal as always and I loved her ring. Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey's other half of a gorgeous pair, looked phenomenal in a simple deep plunging neckline full circle black gown with a simple bracelet and ring. My number one look was from Jennifer Hudson. She looks phenomenal and rocked this tangerine dress that was paired with purple heels and of course the appropriate amount of wrist bling with a phenom ring! Finally, Sharon Stone stepped out and up in a look that reminded me of why I loved Casino. She showed that women of any age need to rock the carpet and also that the older set can still make the younger think twice before hitting the carpet. In a dress that had plummage of its own, she was paired with a phenom orbed cocktail ring and a miniaudiere clutch that made me drool as soon as it hit the carpet. As we continue to find out the stylists, this post will be updated with what accessories were worn!

Wearable Wednesdays: Embrace the Fashion Melting Pot

We We Clothing is an amazing Boho line that is perfect for men, women and kids; moreover, it has been embraced by Halle Berry, Kate Hudson, Isla Fisher, Marcia Cross and more. We We comes from the Nigerian tribe known as the Yoruba and it means "little ones". I love that this line was inspired by Folake Kuye Hontoon, who is Nigerian, grew up in the Bronx and currently lives in Beverly Hills.

Her inspiration came when she saw a lack of fun prints and trims that children could wear. This allowed her to search for African prints and to come up with her own line and now you can enjoy this as well. I love that there are vibrant colors, bold and subtle prints as well. This is definitely something that you would wear on a warm day hanging out in in Soho or to take along on a vacation. You have to check this out and to pick up a piece for you and a little one as well!
