Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson rocked the red carpet at the Oscars last night in this fabulous dress by Roberto Cavalli in a richly hued blue gown. The high slit of this dress showed off her Jimmy Choo peep toe pumps. Later on in the evening she had an amazing performance from her movie "Dreamgirls" singing, "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" which left me breathless as the power of her voice is amazing!

Jennifer hit the red carpet with a simple, bone straight hairstyle crafted by Clairol Professional Celebrity Stylist Kiyah Wright. Kiyah created this look which is one that you will want to try when you're thinking of going super sleek.

* Prep hair with Clairol Professional Jazzing in Coffee Bean, let sit for 5 minutes and wash out with Clairol Professional Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

* Spritz hair with a lightweight silicone spray to tame flyaways.

* Straighten small sections of hair using a flat iron starting at the nape and moving towards the top of the head.

* Cut wide set bangs and add clip-in extensions for length and drama.

* Finish off with another spritz of silicone spray for light hold and added shine.

Snazzy Sundays: Awards Season 2013 ~ SAG Awards Elisabeth Moss

With the red carpet wrapping and the SAG Awards on their way to honoring actors by actors, I had to share a fab look from one of the attendees hitting the red carpet! You too can get this fabulous look as well since we're sharing how AMC's Mad Men (which is airing its 6th season, 2 hour premier on April 7th) Elisabeth Moss obtained the look. She wore a stunning Dolce & Gabbana and accessorized it with $1M earrings from Forever Mark and Jimmy Choo heels and clutch.

mark Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg worked with Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss for the SAG Awards. Jamie and Elisabeth wanted to keep the look down to earth with a chic French street touch.

Face:

Started with mark’s Min-A-Real Cream to Powder Foundation and layered on mark’s Touch and Glow in Warm Glow on the cheeks with a swipe of mark’s Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky. Set the look with mark’s Set Things Right Loose Powder.

Eyes:

Started with mark’s Please Hold Eye Primer as a base. Used i-mark in Luv Struck in the crease then blended in the black shade in mark’s Drama Case Eye Shadow and Liner Palette on the lash line.

She added i-mark Metallic in Lava on the lid and finished the lash line with mark’s What A Line Felt Tip Eyeliner in Twilight. Applied false eyelashes and two coats of mark’s Scandalash Mascara in Blacklash and filled in the lower lash line with mark’s No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet set. Finished the eyes with one coat of Scandalash Mascara in Blacklash on the lower lashes.

Lips:

mark’s Jewel Body Cream

Treasure Tuesdays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Warner Bros Golden Globes After Party Nina Dobrev

Behind the scenes grooming image of Nina and Riawna is courtesy of Celebutopia.net.

We've been recapping the Golden Globes and it wouldn't be complete without highlighting what was worn at the parties! Nina Dobrev attended the 2013 Warner Bros and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party last night. She looked so adorable and sugary sweet in turquoise from Oscar de la Renta's spring collection. This dress was further accessorized with a fab silver belt and stunning Jimmy Choo heels. The attention to detail continued with this super cute twist created by stylist Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One Salon and of course you can create this look as well.

Step 1 In order to smooth Nina’s hair and add shine, her hair was prepped with U LUXURY Shampoo and Conditioner, which are infused with crushed pearl, Hawaiian white honey and Argan oil. Next, Riawna used UNITE 7SECONDS Conditioner to detangle, condition and protect hair.

Step 2 Next, she blow-dried hair using the UNITE 9-Row Denman Brush to smooth the cuticle of her hair.

Step 3 Nina then flipped her head upside down while Riawna completed a classic braid from the nape to the crown of her head.

Step 4 All remaining hair was pulled up into a ponytail.

Step 5 UNITE BEACH DAY Spray was spritzed throughout the dry ponytail to add density to the hair.

Step 6 The hair was wrapped and pinned into a classic bun.

Step 7 The final look was held in place using UNITE GO365 Hairspray and polished off with UNITE SHINA-Mist.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Fisker Karma Chic

For $100,000, fashion and sustainability come together when it comes to crusiing around in the eco Fisker Karma. Such celebs as Alicia Keys have been sporting these around town and when I think of hanging out in one of my fave hotspots (I've already been thinking of my mid season break when the temperatures become truly challenging), this car and bikinis go hand in hand in South Beach, Miami. Whether you're rocking out and staying at the Delano or are cruising Ocean Drive, there is only way to make this look amazing!

Your fabulous look comes together within Vix swimwear with an Ella bandeau top and faux leather trimmed bikini briefs. Cover it up with Roberto Cavalli's animal print kaftan. This look is further accessorized with Jimmy Choo (my essential go to when it's for a night out or a day for your feet to truly be on display) Pekabo Cork platform which are black and gold! Finally, this fab haircalf handbag by Saint Laurent is the ultimate in chic!

Swoonfest Saturdays: Miami Edition ~ Prep For a 2013, Beyond

Everyone (including Kitten Lounge) has been taking the "look back" over the past year of 2012. We have shared things that we have loved about magazine covers over the years, our favorite celebs, press trips to amazing locales and of course the launch of Shoe Week! It could take a number of posts to share everything but it's time to focus on what we can't wait to continue sharing and including on the site and our related properties!

As the winter weather is being felt more each day with snowstorms, winds, etc - our thoughts turn to Miami and more specifically, South Beach! I call this location my favorite place - especially The Delano and The Loews - South Beach, I'm obsessed with The Standard - Spa Miami Beach which is included within today's post! This is definitely a view that's perfect when you're escaping the cold and need to gain a new perspective. The next time I'm heading down to South Beach, I'm going to check it out for sure! While down here, it's all about fabulous swimwear and being able to transition easily between taking a dip and gliding in and out of boutiques and our favorite spots for a bevvie and nibble!

Typically, I'm not a matchy matchy girl; however, I love this kaftan and bikini from Emiio Pucci - I love a fabulous neutral with a pop of decadence. Of course, it's essential to ensure that this look is complimented with fabulous gold and silver which is a great way to show a little bling. As always, I adore Balenciaga's Classic City bag and this silver hue is perfection when paired within these fabulous gold/silver Jimmy Choo Malika mirror perforated leather sandals. Add a bit of whimsy with this Amedeo Rose Gold elephant necklace and this fabulous Roberto Coin stingray cocktail ring in gold.

Mingling Mondays: FW2012 Trends ~ Kelly Rowland

Last night ABC's American Music Awards took place last night celebrating 40 years of music as well as honoring this year's nominees! How can you not love Kelly Rowland's look on the red carpet? She hit the carpet rocking this Geometria inspired Naeem Khan piece from their 2012 collection! I love the simplicity with mirrored embellishments as well as the peek-a-boo effect that it brings. We'll update the rest of her look but we would accessorize with these fabulous finds!

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Jimmy Choo and I love how these shoes have fabulous crystals on them as well as picking up elements from the dress. The crisscross pattern is the perfect way to pick up the details of the dress. Big bling should definitely incorporate the elements of this dress and Ippolita is a fabulous find. As I believe in mixing metals and want to continue with the Geometria look of this ensemble, how about including this diamond ring in rose gold from Bloomingdale's? Together, it's another way to make this look fabulous from top to bottom! I love that this outfit is the perfect bridge piece! Although I don't think it's as dressed up as a traditional red carpet dress, I do love that for this awards show where attendees have a wider range of expression, this look is perfect for the after parties that she will head out to when the ceremony is over! I love that there is a tribal element to this look and that this is a great look for her and as always she has a great natural glow to complete the look!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ In My Bag

Today through Monday, you'll find out about my Meet and Greet appearances which took place as I am a Brand Ambassador for Crest! Crest and a number of P&G brands were apart of the My Black is Beautiful Booth. Attendees were able to get makeovers and to interact with Olay, Crest, Gain, Cover Girl and Pantene. As a Celebrity Accessories Expert, I gave on ths spot styling tips and share why a great accessory always includes a great white smile! Of course, when I left for this trip, I knew that I had to have my basics for any kind of travel with my amazingly gorgeous, Linea Pelle tote (which I have to say that it even took my laptop which is not pictured here) Daisy Tote in Scotch (the side detailing is perfectly boho). Inside is very roomy and of course I am never without my Moo Cards which has various, pictures of me included on one side and my info on the back, when I travel I always have a Life & Style as well as an Us Weekly, sunscreen, Moleskin notebook , Rebecca Minkoff change purse, a smaller Linea Pelle purses which are great for a number of uses - the smaller one held quick casg and the larger one held my camera, Sony Bloggie and sometimes my cellphone and I love my beaded Moyna zipped bag with the fabulous eye on the front as it houses my Swarovski Hello Kitty mirror. In addition, I always have my passport on my as well as the nail polish I happen to be wearing (Butter London) and my Jimmy Choo python and leather wallet is always with me as well!

I love having a larger tote when you're doing a number of appearances and traveling as this bag is super accessible and with the rolled straps, it doesn't dig into your arm and this is such a fab color that you can rock with a number of looks.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Ray of Sunshine

I am all about running around and getting my day to day tasks taken care of - even in this heat! Sometimes it's not an option to put it off or to hope for rain so you just have to think smarter and lighter!. I'm obsessed with this Malene Birger style as I was obsessed with it when I saw it in black and white and now that I see it in this washed out yellow - kismet! Bottega Veneta has a fabulous cowry shell pendant necklace on a silver chain as well as python wedge sandals. Because I love mixing textures as well as metals, I love this Roberto Coin diamond bracelet that has silver, gold and rose gold - decadent. I would also pair this with Nicky Hilton's quartz ring which is a nice pop. Finally, I'm OBSESSED with Jimmy Choo's leopard print calf hair bag! I love that their bags also come with a cuff that can be an accessory to your bag or one that you can slip on your wrist!

This year's host city is London and we're loving the pieces that have been made to honor this! Butter London created a bronze, silver and gold nail polish set which allows you to rock medals on your nails. Of course you can't talk Union Jack clutches without including Alexander McQueen's box clutch as well.

Mingling Mondays: SS 2012 Trends ~ Charlize Theron

At the beginning of the month, celebs hit the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards at Universal Studios in LA. It's definitely one of the more light hearted shows but I love that Charlize Theron didn't skimp on giving a wow moment when she wore this red ensemble by Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and jewelry by Dsquared crystal and studded pumps which are befitting for star! In addition, a fun triangular clutch from Simone Rainer which creates a playful look. Finally, why not add a statement necklace with Oscar de la Renta?

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Chimney Sweep Inspires

Today I did a fun photoshoot and rocked one of my new fave colors from ButterLondon, Chimney Sweep - a smoldering grey color with a bit of shimmer in it. I love all kinds of grey hues and this was super inspirational for today's look! I'm OBSESSED with maxi skirts and love this one by Tart which has stripes but I love that they are a little all over the place to give it a fun look. Keep it simple with a white tank from Anthropologie which is made of yarn and will keep you easy peesy breezy when you're running around!. Rock these gladiator sandals from Jimmy Choo and slip on this python gem ring by Ted Rossi! Finally, I'm loving this must have Max & Chloe. I'm obsessed with Burberry Prorsum and love their Striped Raffia Weave Trench Coat and Hat! I'm generally not all about being matchy matchy but I love the details of this and feel that this is a must. Finish this outerwear look with this Sandra Dini ring that is comprised of Aquamarine, Milk Aquamarine and White Topaz ring. Finish the look with these fabulous wine and bordeaux Fendi peep toe booties. Finally, put in a pop of color with this Jimmy Choo Patent Leather Cutch known as Ubai!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Holidays in Neutrals

I love this time of year! Tons of events and so many more reasons than normal to get snazzy for fun evenings out. I'm loving this Bailey 44 ruched dress that is perfect for the season. This dress on its own is phenomenal for holiday parties, New Year's Eve events and so much fun. But it definitely looks amazing when you pair it with a number of goodies that will allow you to stand out! I adore Le Vian for its strawberry gold with various diamonds. In your hand, this envelope clutch by Emily Cho who has amazing exotic leather prints. I'm a huge fan of Dara Ettinger and her Hayden Stone Cuff has a phenomenal hammering on the arm with a fab natural crystallized stone. Complete the look with Jimmy Choo's Kevan's Feather Trim Gladiator Sandal which is a niced caged sandal with the pops of color in the feathers.

Mingling Mondays ~ Carry Exotic

When I'm out and about, people notice that I rock the exotics everyday. I have my python satchel bag, iPad case and matching coin/key zip all from Rebecca Minkoff, my Jimmy Choo wallet, Ziordia python passport holder (this was a phenomenal bag brand that is no longer available but I love it) and so much more! I think it's so important to have that pop especially as we go into outerwear weather when you need these accessories to show your personal style!

With that being said here are some of my faves that I know are awesome to rock regardless of season. Gucci has a phenomenal hobo bag that embodies one of my favorite motifs - Marrakech. I love Marc Jacobs' fun green python cosmetic case which adds a nice color within your bag and can be worn even when it is not the spring season. I'm LOVING this richly burgundy wallet that contains python as well as calfskin by Jerome Dreyfuss - love the embellishment on here as well which is a nice touch. When you're traveling all your documents will be secure with Rebecca Minkoff . Passing out business cards gets luxe when Bottega Veneta comes out of your bag. Finally, keep it mobile with this gorgeous iPad case from one of my fave online boutiques, Luisaviaroma which will have your travel companions take a second look at what you're up to.

This short dress has all my fave finds combined into one - it's grey, ruched dress and a one shoulder effect. This look is completed with other fun shades of grey! Sethi Couture has a phenomenal diamond moonstone ring which is the perfect one to wear when you're out and about. Pair this up with Giuseppe Zanotti as I am a huge fan of these python peep toe pumps (having this in black and grey is an essential). Mingling Mondays ~ Glam Neutral

You know that this season I'm obsessed with neutrals! It leaves such a refreshing palette and by no means is it boring! Today I'm starting to go into NY Fashion Week mode by securing a number of my looks that I will be wearing throughout the week. There's always a dressy occasion that I must dress for and yet I still love feeling comfy and presenting that effortless sense of style. I'm obsessed over this Alberta Ferretti which has fun hues that pop within this halter dress. To bring out a bit more pop into this look, you know that the accessories are everything! I'm loving both pieces by Jimmy Choo as the clutch with the extra snakeskin detailing and its hardware are perfect - as well as the cosmic heels that I have been drooling over for a period of time! Pair this with a fab topaz ring by Sevan Bicakci who has been another obsession over the summer that I plan on carrying into the fall as well as this hinge cuff by Alexis Bittar! Together, this look is so chic and one that you'll look goddess regal in!

Mingling Mondays ~ Kick Into High Gear

We all have those moments when we wake up on Mon knowing that this day is a day that will kick off a week of kicking butt. With that said, you have to be prepared for something like this so we have a fab outfit that will get you in the mood. Sure, it's super femme but don't be fooled! This outfit is all about giving you room to move and will work whether you're in the elevator, having a lunch meeting, meeting with clients late or whatever is on the agenda. We kick it off with this vibrantly orange dress from Anthropologie that has fab gold adornment on its edges! Of course if you're taking on the world, you should do it in House of Harlow's necklace which has just the perfect amount of Grecian inspired meets Wonder Woman "getting it done" motif! Cap it off with two phenomenal accessories a Cosmic snake embossed Jimmy Choo platform heel and Serpui Marie's Clutch!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Concrete Jungle

I spend a lot of time trekking in the city so the term, Concrete Jungle definitely applies as I navigate the streets and avenues. But no matter how hot it is, you still have to look cute as you never know where the day will take you. Today, it's all about embracing my love for the military city chic effect (love playing with olive, neutrals, browns and mixed minerals) which has a comfy romper by BCBG Max Azria that incorporates some of my favorite jewelry pieces - fab multi charm braceletes from YSL, a leopard patent leather print from Jimmy Choo and this fabulous necklace from Sevan Bicakci! Together, this look ensures that you're boardroom ready, sushi available and anything else that may bring you out of your concrete hut!

Fashionable Fridays: Client Files ~ Hamps Bound in the City

Earlier this week I worked with a fabulous client who was looking for the best look that screamed Hamptons but was appropriate for a housewarming here in the city which has a roofdeck! Today's look is a version of the look that was created for her! I'm all about kaftans as there are so many options and they are my "must haves" for Summer 2011. TopShop has a fab serene blue that can be worn as a cover up over your fave bikini or paired with a cute tank top so that it is worn as a dress. If you feel that it is a little short, you can pair cute shorts and on cooler nights, how about a pair of leggings? Because the kaftan is the perfect mix of casual and dressy, it begs to be paired with fun accessories. I'm loving the fun peacock elements of jewelry with House of Harlow's peacock locket pendant and Free People's ring as well. In addition, everything can be evened out by popping in fun nude/blush tones. Love, love, love the fact that Jimmy Choo's clutch is the perfect item to pair with Alejandro Ingelmo's woven platform wedge pumps (I am obsessed with this designer and have been since Sept Fashion Week last year when he was on a Harper's Bazaar panel focusing on accessories) which are phenomenal. Regardless of how leggy you are, this is a great look and as always, I'm so happy to get pictures from my fab clients when they're set to have a fab night out (hopefully she remembers the fab gift she's supposed to bring and will enjoy dancing the night away with friends).

Trendy Thursdays ~ Bikini Babes

If you're like me, you're already planning your bikini outfits but you should also think about your skin and suncare as well! Yes the bikini is essential and you can never go wrong with such brands as Rosa Cha and of course, pair them with espadrilles from Jimmy Choo! But none of it matters if you're skin isn't flawless and being protected! Now I think your tote must have Boscia blot paper that makes sure you skin has no oils. Of course, even though it is a necessity, it can still look super cute! I know that many are against wearing makeup when you workout and hit the beach but the fact of the matter is, I don't leave my door without makeup on. I love that Luminess ensures that you have that celeb look of being blended without having to deal with a number of blending sponges. Simply find the right section of the spectrum for you and you're kit will have a number of containers for you to blend together in order to continue looking like a sun goddess. But let's get serious about suncare. Last week, I had the pleasure of sitting down and learning about the truth behind the industry and what makes MD Solar Sciences stand apart from many of the brands that we have been rocking. This brand allows us to understand the myths and misconceptions so that we can be more informed as well as being protected! Available at its own website as well as via your doctor, this collection focuses on UVA and UVB skincare. With a full product range which we will share throughout our Spring Break month in April, we began with a super easy No Touch Body Spray! We love that you can opt for not touching it when applied OR spraying it into your hands and rubbing it in your body - of course, you can share the love by making sure you're entire group is evenly applied as well!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Marigold Dreams

I am swimming in invites and it's not even Fashion Week! I have been requested to a number of events and appearances which will be nothing more than taking tons of pics and rocking it out! From Congressional parties, Virginia Gold Cup, more HSN appearances and so much more many of my travels whether in the city or outside of it will mean I have multiple outfit changes and fab designers that I will definitely be supporting! This look reminds me of something I definitely want to sport during Virginia Gold Cup (hanging out with the lovely Makeda of Glamazon Diaries) which also runs the same weekend of Kentucky Derby! With a large hat, superb jewelry and pumps - these are the kinds of outfits that takes me sense and sensibilities to another level. At the end of the day, I'm loving that you can rock your Jimmy Choo and Alexis Bittar in only a way that the glamazon that everyone has in their sites. Together they are phenomenal and of course separately, they still make amazing outfits! Take some time to think about where this will go!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ International Women's Day

I'm all about everyone pushing it to the next level and although this month is in the support of women, today is International Women's Day. This global day celebrates women who were making advances in every category in terms of social, political and economical areas. Everyone that is out there today whether you work at a company or run your own is doing something to add to this creative scope. Throughout the day, if you're following me @Cocoabebe, you'll see me shout out women who I know who are doing amazing things and that you should be following with the hashtag #KLIWD. Of course at Kitten Lounge, I had to share my love and support for those in fashion so today's spread is dedicated to all those women who kick booty everyday and make their voice heard so that the next little girl who wants to be whatever can and will! Above are designers and CEO's of brands that I admire. I have either met them, work closely with their team or have had tweetversations with them! With such trailblazers as Nicole Miller (ensures that we look modern and are always on another level - she knows her style), Nancy Gonzalez (python accessory designer who is always on trend and is never afraid of color), JImmy Choo (Tamara Mellon knows how to create a company and keep women buzzing about the fabulous brand and doing it all in stilettos) and Ranjana Khan (creating fab over the top pieces that I drool over everytime I am in Bergdorf Goodman we're not only in amazing fashion hands but we know that we can make our mark and see it coming and going!
