This weekend, I spent time with my boyfriend lounging and chatting. I love how you can enjoy a great time with some drinks and a lot of laughter. I think that having your wine displayed in your home is like art in a way. Interestingly enough, when I visit someone's home I always look at the bookshelf (it's always a shame to see an empty one or one that isn't there at all) and I look for wine as well. I can't say I know a lot about it but it says something when you don't see a bottle or two. When it is there, it's always better when it is presented. I love this wine rack since true to our theme of LAGOON, it contains wicker which I have always felt is islandish in nature. I love that this added element makes it different than typical wine racks and definitely looks cozy as well. I also love that it is available at Target.com so it's chic and very affordable!

So the concept of LAGOON is a favorite of mine because it incorporates obviously blues and greens but also being able to enjoy the sun and all that comes with that. Up until a year ago, I would have looked at this belt and just said "why" I was never one to wear a belt period and when it came to wearing a belt that was this skinny - I knew that it didn't necessarily assist in holding your pants up. It just goes to show you that even someone who loves accessories and uses as many as possible, can be absolutely clueless and they have much to learn. Thankfully, I look at belts in general as an opportunity to step up what I'm wearing! I have to say that I have really become a huge fan of Facebook and although I am definitely all about meeting people in real time - nothing can ever replace this, I also love the idea of being able to connect with people that you know through others who can help you in your personal and business life. I love the network and the way that people go back and forth!I challenged myself to really get into the community and spend some time there and found that there were people who have definitely assisted me in my jewelry, been a listening ear and interestingly enough - there are people who are on there that I literally work around the way from and I speak to them more on there! It's funny how this portion of life is just as important as making sure that after emailing people all day that you make an effort to pick up the phone and say hi (if you're really daring you will actually go up to them and say "hey"). I was looking at Pottery Barn this morning and began thinking of my favorite thing when it comes to the concept of LAGOON - beach houses, summer shares or wherever you go when you get away from the city for a little R&R. No matter how hot it is or what trip I'm going on, I always pack a cute graphic T-shirt. I may wear it while I'm there or I may wear it on the plane there. There is something about a graphic shirt that makes me feel comfortable and lets me know that whatever happens I won't find it cumbersome to move around. That being said, I could go for the cute tiny graphic t or something that is definitely bold and out there - making a statement. Last month, I posted about Sailor Jerry who participated in Project in Vegas . It is so close to that time of year – how exciting is it to think that your boots will be replaced by cute sandals, flip flops and espadrilles? I have to say that I have never owned a pair of espadrilles as shocking as this may sound and so this summer I am definitely introducing this into my wardrobe as I see this as a HUGE void that must be filled.
