As we battled dipping temperatures, last night in the Dubai Mall ice rink, Aiisha Ramadan (who we absolutely love) and Victoria Casal Jewelry had a 'Love Affair' fashion show that was held yesterday with attendees receiving cupcakes from Sweet Stuff based in Jumeira! Not only is this a great way to enhance the theme of the overall show but it was also a tasty way to end the event as well!
The show began with ice skater Natash Alexander Kemble cane out to a rendition of Nessun Dorma by opera tenor Andrew Amdur. Each dress from Aiisha was paired with Victoria Casal's jewelry and Manolo Blahnik shoes. No two sets of accessories were the same which created a dynamic look for everyone involved. This was a show that I truly wanted to attend and with such artistic drama, I hope to be able to come to the next. We have covered Aiisha's pieces as a gallery post and as a spread. Today's gallery of images (you know that we haven't done this in awhile so when we do, it's definitely a treat) are full of feminine whimsy and for those that will be in Dubai, you should visit the Sweet Stuff store as the cupcake (light and fluffy chocolate spongecake with icing made out of a unique butter cream and iced in a feminine, floral motif, topped with sprinkles) that everyone enjoyed last night will be sold for the next month!

As mentioned yesterday, this year's Fashion Week coverage on Kitten Lounge will have one look from the line and then I will accessorize that look. This way you can see pieces that will hit stores next Spring but know how to make it come together. Today's look is focused on the girl that has that amazing launch party she's going to. You got your investors, you toiled over your projects and finally you're presenting all the items that you have been working on. You want to be fabu! This dress from Nicole Miller (who is also one of the Mentors that appeared on To Be a Star - not my episode but a different one) hit the runway last night and as you can see, it's a statement within itself. The accessories become tricky when you have an iridescent look, a higher neckline, etc - BUT this can still be paired with great items. Instead of trying to find the best color or going with your standard black, I decided that gold would be perfect but a mixture of golds to add warmth. Manolo Blahnik's patchwork d'Orsay heels are awesome as it adds in those tones and really connects the other other pops of gold that are found in the JLRicci Tiger Eye ring and Stella McCartney's Melamine clutch! What a fab dress and in addition to my attendance of the show, check out Amerie, Ciara and Amber Rose who sat front row as all the looks came down the runway. This is definitely a way to ensure that you'll be noticed and look like the woman who is sure to take over the world in your niche!
I'm still at the shows here in Las Vegas meeting with designers, owners and more! I'm happy to say that I have found a lot of designers that I will be presenting to you over the next few weeks! Yesterday I met a designer that is literally someone that I loved every piece of the collection. Daddy's Favorite is an amazing lounge, lingerie and even "out and about" line. When it comes to luxury, you will find it here! Now why is this known as a tease? I was able to get a sneak peak of what is coming for Spring and they looked absolutely amazing as they were South Beach perfect for cabanas, cocktails and more. What is the inspiration behind the line? Mariam, the owner loved her mother's bathrobe and decided to make a line that was not only comfortable but fashionable. She knew that we hate to wear robes that we have to adjust to ensure that it stays together; moreover, we need to have sleeves that don't get in the way so that we can wash our face and do our makeup. In addition we love robes but we don't want to be frumpy! The Bohemian Rhapsody is the beginning of an amazing collection that only gets more amazing as we continue into the next season! This robe is such a fashion statement that I wants to share how it could be worn when lounging at home. You can bring in pops of turquoise with a pair of sandals with a little heel from Manolo Blahnik, Kara Ross' cuff brings in a fab red and this amber glass ring is truly simple. Daddy's Favorite is a collection that is worth bringing into your lifestyle and when the rest of the line is available on the site, you'll be the first to know. I'm so proud to bring you Aiisha Haute Couture which will be gracing the runways of Dubai later this fall in November. I love that she brings the sense of old world glamour in an eye catching way! Without a doubt her pieces give you that great goddess look while allowing you to add all your favorite accessories to achieve the overall desired look.
I also love that after being introduced to her designs, I enjoyed hearing various projects that she has been apart of. Paris Hilton had a Dubai based reality show where she focused on local designers of the area - Aiisha was one of the designers who had 7 dresses on this show. More impressive to me are the collaborations that she has done within technology (which you know I'm a fan of). Via her shows, she participated in a fashion show that allowed her to show technology in fashion in everyday life that was presented by Nokia. She also did a fashion show in collaboration with Swarovski Crystals and Nokia. This stylist and designer has also been the spokesperson for HP and their laptops as well. I love when fashion and tech come together and feel that her designs are something that takes glamour to another level!
