Each month, I host a super fun event that has an intimate group of bloggers and influencers that I'm fans of! It's fun to come together for a few hours to do something fun, learn about something that we all love and to get the chance to interact with one another. Entitled, Kimmie's Gimmies, last month we were hosted at Bloomingdales for a fun afternoon of Lucky Magazine and Dior Beauty Pretty Party!

This event allowed us to come together to learn how to create a sunkissed look which I think is essential for the summer! Joining me was Nicci (Beauty and the Feast), my sister Dorian (Big Apple Style Marketing), Christine (Tineey), Kitty (Kitty Bradshaw), Shoshi (Luscious Lifestyle Diva), Amy (Midtown Girl), Lorna (Fabulous Report) and Lisa (Beauty By Benz). Led by Natasha which was a dynamo and an embodiment of the Values of Dior which is all about enchantment, creative energy, triumphant femininity, sense of spectacular and luxury as a promise of happiness - she ensured that we were led through our afternoon and introduced us to our phenomenal team of Dior makeup artists that turned us into stunning divas ready for any given summer afternoon in NYC! We met at the Dior Beauty Counter and were taken to our private makeup room so that we could be away from the buzz of the activity on the floor.

As we all sat at our tables which were grouped in twos, each pair had a makeup artist (we had Natasha who cracked me up and showed me new ways of looking at my approach to makeup and made me fall in love with a number of their skincare as well as makeup collections beyond my love for Dior Show!) and Shoshi eagerly was our demo girl. As she sat up front, her look was done in sections that allowed us all to work along with her. What I loved was that we each had an artist work on a portion of our look and then we would do the other side so that we could see how to do it for future uses. I loved that as new items were added to my look, I was able to build my personal face chart so that I knew what to get and how to replicate it!

In the end, I fell in love with the Purifying Cleansing Milk as well as the Toning Lotion, Hydralife cream, Instant Gentle Exfoliation (this will be amaze with my Clarisonic), Gel Makeup 70 (I have been using MAC N9 Studio Fix since college), number 4 Concealer Nude, Lip Glow, Lip Maximizer, amazing brow pencil, 333 Nude and 257 Gloss. I love the bronzers that just launched as well which are amazing as well as the eyeshadows as I had a smoky eye. What a great way to ensure that I will have that flawless look that I have always loved having! In addition, I will definitely spend some significant time around the counter to get the phenom tools of the trade!

It was an amazing event that allowed all of us to have an amazing time as well as to enjoy some phenomenal goodies courtesy of Dior, Bloomingdales and Lucky Magazine! I left with two items checked off from my long list that I will definitely have to have - Gel Makeup 70 and Lip Glow (how can you not love what feels like a lip balm but tints up as your lips are heated - obsessed!).
