This post has definitely caused a stir in my house! Paul is a Jets fan and I'm a Colts fan. Yes I like various teams but just because I changed states doesn't mean that I change my favorite team. Growing up in Indiana, I had a lot of Colts shirts and now that I live in NY, you may see me out and about on a Sunday in my gear! It's fun to have a get together at home and why not add in elements of your own team through NFL fashion and lifestyle items. Although Paul will never wear a Colts shirt, I do like this one so if you have a guy who you need to gift, this about the one in this spread! I don't have a Colts sweatshirt, I do like this layered look which is perfect over a pair of yoga pants.

Don't feel that you have to stop with your shirts, think about having a cute martini set or even getting poochie in on the fun! Whether you're having a huge party, just watching among friends or are at home checking out your fantasy football team to see where you rank - you can always do it in style. I have to say that fantasy football has been something that I didn't know a lot about; however, when you do it in teams, you can have all the fun of seeing whether you won while your teammate has to do the work of all the switches and statistics. For the serious pros that want to get all their information to ensure that their teams do well, you may be interested in the NFL betting site that shares what the probability of your team winning is which could be helpful when you've challenged your friends at the water cooler.

Now I am not one to spend a lot of time in the kitchen; however, today I spent all day there without having to cook a thing! After a fun night out, Niki stayed over and as I sat with my gal pal laughing and talking our way from breakfast straight through to nibbling a late lunch/early dinner. All of this was done as we sat in the kitchen (and I think my boyfriend was pleased to have a true football Sunday) watching Rachel Zoe, Grease and Grease 2! The kitchen table is an essential as it brings everyone together and becomes a home base of sorts for conversation! Above are some great table options that work with various kitchens regardless of how much space you may have. Sometimes keeping it simple is nice! It's felt like a long week and I've been hitting a lot of events. As much as I love my traditional tee, jeans and heels - I love my graphic tee and jeans as well! So today, I kept it casual with a simple necklace (the knot necklace can be casual or definitely dress up your look), cocktail ring (if you're going to do it - it's got to be big and I love the grren Amethyst), a cuff and my tee. I'm a huge fan of Sailor Jerry. I love the inspiration behind the line and when this Philly based - family owned company was in Vegas during the shows for Magic, they threw an awesome party! With 10 years under their belt, they headed to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and had amazing performers! I have to say that they were one of my two favorite parties that week (the other one being the Hudson Jeans party). To understand how amazing the brand is, check out their site, try their rum as it's really good and head to the store! From time to time they have live bands that play within their store and the environment has such positive energy! I have yet to go but have plans this fall and hope they keep me in the loop on future events! For now, this tired chica has some trailblazing to do and can't wait until it's the weekend!

This weekend we'll be partying as this is known as the last summer party weekend! Jagermeister is one of the cooler shots when you're out and about. If you've seen the Tap Machine that is at many bars, you know that it always makes the perfect shot with the perfect chill. Now you no longer have to go to the bar, you can enjoy their new 6 shot cooler! This cooler comes with 50 cups and the bottles can sit within this easy to carry cooler to ensure that the party never stops! In addition, when the lid is closed, there are places for your shots to sit. When it's open you have the compartments for the bottles and you have another where the cups sit. Finally, you can pore out the perfect shot since there is a little spout! The two bottles sit in a compartment where they can be turned over so that the liquid can come out! Let's just say that once my boyfriend sees this post, he will be begging for this to be a permanent fixture within our home (although he still wants the much coveted Tap Machine). I'm flying through the friendly skies as you're reading this or I could already be in Vegas at this point! One of my favorite nibbles to have - oysters! I love that they make you feel so classy when you're eating them and it's the perfect snack food if you're having it at a bar in Long Beach (yes NY) or in Key West! We're having an oyster party and I have created a collection of must haves! Now Paul is going to get oysters (I hope they're already opened - if not then he will need this tool to force them open! When you lay them out, it's so much easier to place it on a plate that already has the little "scoops" that make it easy for them to lay down without moving around! You can still lay them on sea salt for the overall effect. Little forks are a necessity and they're just super cute! Of course you'll have other items that are tasty as well! How about Pottery Barn's serving shells which bring in nature while also being extremely artistic. Take some time to figure out what you need for your oyster party (these are also great for any sea themed event!).

We're in that time where you'll think of any excuse to throw a little party (or maybe a big one). We just threw a large Lobster Boil Party which was a great way for people to come out, have some great food and a few drinks. We had a theme, I had sent out invitations and everything went from there. Whether you're a natural at planning or could use a few pointers, I wanted to share a great video of a party planner that I recently met! Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to go on the Dekuyper Party Bus where we not only enjoyed shots of Dekuyper's ready made shots (this means you don't have to stress about being a bartender), but we enjoyed nibbles and learning that you can have people come to a party in various ways with various budgets in mind! Take some time to hear some ideas and never think that you can't have a function whether it's based on space, money, food or even ideas!

We're having our second annual Lobster Broil at the condo and I'm super excited as it's nice to have it in October but it's much more fun when it's in June! I just got our invitations which are a mix of lobster and Madras shorts - images to follow soon! But more importantly, there are so many things to get when you're hosting a party that goes throughout the day and will have around 30 people there. The main event is lobster so here I have some of the essentials, the pot, lobster crackers (Crate & Barrel is such a must when you're having a gathering) and the lobster forks. Of course, Crystal of Tasty Morsels Bakery is not only coming but is supplying these cookies which are the cutest things ever! So glad that she's bringing them so that everyone can see how much of a hit they are!!! Whatever you're doing, make sure you have a theme and you stay true it. In addition, plan as much as you can in advance to guarantee that you get the most people possible for your event!

So I am heading to the Dominican for vacation with Food Editor and boyfriend, Paul. I am super excited and the 5 weeks I have to wait, can't come soon enough. With that said, I want an entirely new wardrobe and of course, I still want to buy things throughout the rest of the season. Although the economy isn't that great, I love that you can get great deals. But a deal is truly best when it lasts!

When I first came to New York 6 years ago, I happened to be shopping with my mom for a trip I was taking to Florida. I needed a Little Black Dress as I was going to a wedding. I found the perfect LBD that was classy and yet, had little cut outs in the back. You can see this dress on the right side toolbar within my group of Flickr pictures. I wore this recently at a New Years event at the Rainbow Room. That was the best $39 dollars spent and it is my go to dress and travels well too!

So that brings us to the present! This dress was purchased at Mandee and if you don't have one in your hometown, you can get it online. Currently they are doing a 20% off promotion online if you use the word BAILOUT. I think this is a great way to add a lot of items into your wardrobe and you too may have a story about how something priced so cheaply ended up being a mainstay within your wardrobe!

I am heading home after a week in Orlando for the PGA show. I can't wait to see my boyfriend and his friends again on the UWS to go to this year's Super Bowl Party. I love the game, the food, the commercials and just having a chance to end the football season to think about next year! Stay in touch with everything by visiting the NFL's site to see info on half time, behind the scenes videos and the blog. Within the blog, I found out that the Empire State Building (which I will look for as I drive back into NYC) will be lit with the Cardinals and Steelers colors! I am rooting for the Steelers but I think that this will be a very exciting game!

Trendy Thursdays: Happy New Year Part II

First, I can't believe the holiday season is over and that I will have to remind myself to include 2009 when I am writing out the date! That always takes me the first month to get used to it without having to think about it! You never know where the night will take you! I just came back from ending my celebration of NYE! The interesting part, I am not hungover which is fab and I had a great time! Once getting back into the city, we had dinner, went out to do some partying and since the friends we were staying with live in a building with a lot of people they know, it was fun knocking on the doors and spreading the cheer! By the time we settled in, we all chatted, watched TV and fell asleep. But nothing kicks off the new year like pancakes, mimosas, Rose Bowl Parade and the Gator Bowl! So now that Paul and I are at home, we're just settling in which is perfect for relaxing and getting plans into action! There is much to do and I can't wait to share all the goodies with you!

So today is a bit strange with all the snow and looking out the window here in Long Beach, I am a bit concerned as we will soon make our way into the city! What I love best about this day is that regardless of the plans, you never know where the night will take you! We have plans of going to Capitale (our initial plans seemed to have fizzled but I'm going with the flow) and then of course we will ring in the new year! #8 BE-WITCHED AND CELEBRATE!

Raise a glass to those who have touched your life. This is a day to celebrate the living and those we’ve lost with open hearts and settled minds. Halloween, Samhain, All Hallows Eve, The Pagan New Year… we call this night many things, but one shared ancient belief is that this is a night when the layer of the universe between the living and dead is thin, making it a great time to celebrate in honor of, and even with, the spirits of loved ones of the past. Have a party. Make a toast. Pull out your photo albums. Do whatever feels best to share a moment with the spirits that flourish in the living and the dead on this precious night that celebrates us all.

#9 DOUBLE, DOUBLE LET THE GOOD VIBES RUMBLE, FIRE BURN AND HONEY BUBBLE: IT’S TIME FOR HALLOWEEN WISHES

Wishes to go. Wishes to Stay. Write it all down and make a change. It’s time to think about what we want and that includes making room for it by sorting out for what we don’t want. Write down everything you want to bring into your life this year, no matter how big or small. Use a piece of simple paper and a pencil. On another piece of paper write down everything you want to let go of and that you want out of your life. Take time with the lists and remember this is about you personally. After the lists are complete, take a candle, set in it a cauldron (a safe pot or something of the like will do), close your eyes, take a long deep breath, then open your eyes, burn the list of all that you want gone from your life and say goodbye to everything on it. After the burning has come to a safe end clear all of the materials that you used away. Next place your list of positive wishes in a jar. Fill the jar with honey, seal the lid tight and place it on a windowsill that you think is best for the positive flow of energy going in and out of your home. That’s it. The wishes are out there, now all you have to do is remember them, believe and let them come true.

#10 TREAT AND TREAT: LET’S EAT!

What’s a girl to do after a full interior and exterior beauty session? Eat! And make it something delicious and in the spirit of the holiday. A little comfort and warmth to nourish your soul and stomach is the perfect way to wind down an evening. Pumpkins represent the American take on this special night and making apples part of the celebration takes us back to our ancestors. So, how about Pumpkin Bread and Spiced Apple Cider? You can make it from scratch, or buy it at the store. You might even have an old family recipe. However you make it happen, its always a good choice and a perfect end to a perfect evening. So before I forget, I wanted to invite everyone who will be in NYC to come hang out on the 25th! My sister's birthday is on Halloween; however, since she will be heading out to Japan, she decided to have her Headmasters and Schoolgirls 26th birthday part y on the 25th instead. Of course as with all of my sister's parties, I make them into little meet ups to hang out with people that it's almost impossible to see for one reason or another. Wearable Wednesdays: Don't Delay with Your Halloween Plans

Now that Fashion Week is no longer a priority, I start to think about the rest of the year. With my birthday being last Fri, it always marks the middle of the month for me. It then makes me think about the fact that there are only three full months left and most of it becomes VERY holiday oriented. My sister was born on Halloween, so it's always important for me to think about what I will wear to her parties! This year she is reflecting back to her days at Duke where she enjoyed "Headmaster and Mistress Parties". When I was in college at IU, we never has a huge thing about having a theme but every weekend my sister seemed to go another themed event and this was one of my favorites. So I knew that I would be in a cute school girl outfit and my boyfriend would have to look like a professor or something like that. Around this time, Yandy.com which is known for their variety of costumes let me know that it was never too early to think about Halloween.

Ever since I have been in NYC, Halloween is never complete without standing in line at Ricky's days before the big party; however, this year I vowed that I wouldn't do this. I would have my costumes and then I could spend more time accessorizing them! So within today's gallery you can see my images and as I go to the parties, of course, you will see me in them. This year I will be Sexy Dorothy, a Geisha Doll and also Sexy Schoolgirl. What a great combo and it's nice to dress differently to each function that I will attend.

The good thing is that we can all enjoy these costumes by visiting Yandy and seeing what looks best. Each day, there are new items being added and they have great accessories such as shoes and more to make sure that you fully get into character. What are you going as for Halloween? Oh the summer ends, fall is on the way and everyone gets into this massive baking/cooking kick. Somehow we think about having people come over so that everyone can enjoy great friends, food and drinks. Or many people think about baking/cooking in terms of possible gifts. Either way, it is always nice to freshen up what you have and to think about what is essential. Anthropologie is one of my favorite places when you think about items for the home and of course when the holidays come up, you know that you can count on them have to cute items that are perfect for presentations when they're on your table or to create great conversation when people watch you cooking with them. Yes summer is coming to an end but that doesn't mean that the parties dry up! In fact there are more functions and we need to be prepared while also being economical. I am a huge fan of Ella Moss and I love this Black Label Samantha One Shoulder Dress (available in black and also in a regal plum). This has the perfect amount of sass that you would want to take to a final summer house party, a release of a product or anything that means you need to look amazing. The dress is so easy that you need to only think of what heels and what your clutch will look like. If it's a bit chilly, you may want to think of a wrap but other then that you're ready to go! I love that this dress is on sale and looks super cute as well. This the best time of year - you know the part that you know that the weather is getting better and that you need to start thinking about what the perfect drink and place will be. When it comes to NYC, the perfect place is a roofdeck or a nice patio area. Now that choice seems easy but then again you have to decide what place has your favorite spot - when it comes to that, you're so on your own! This is proof that I do read comments that come in on my site. The other day, I had posted about Christian Dior's Fashion Week runway show on See Pretty Things, I received a comment from an amazing designer Mikiye. When I followed her link, I found that she created a variety of flower hair accessories that have Swarovski Crystals on them. This is such a great look that is perfect to put the finishing touch on outfits that will be worn at a cocktail party or anything that needs a little sprucing up. Of course this one is one of my favorites since it's apart of our theme of Citrus and it allows us to bring out our inner sunshine that we carry with us all day long! Fashionable Fridays: Milan Fashion Week Highlights Salvatore Ferragamo

I love this season! There is a show every where you turn and we can all allow our inner (fill in the blank) Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor come out. Although many of these pieces may not be something that you would wear out, you can definitely take some nods from these fashion greats! Fortunately, I am a fan and would wear anything that came off this runway! Salvatore Ferragamo is one of my favorite designers and recently in Milan he unveiled a line that I would not mind having in my closet!
My favorite outfit (that I would wear in a jiffy) is this super cute cocktail dress that not only wraps and has a beautiful key hole effect, but it also has a cute scarf. This is such a sassy look which makes us all feel that we are red carpet ready. I love the classic blue color and I love the snazzy elements that allow for shimmer. In addition, I love the idea that you can pair this with a cute clutch (I am so about this and feel that it is a fashion essential).

The peek a boo effect of this outfit is so cute! This is perfect to wear along or over denim and leggings. This is perfect for a night out when you are going to a premiere of some sort and you want to show how cool you look. Once again the shimmer is much appreciated!

This outfit makes me think of a disco dancer. I love the shape of this outfit and how it fits the upper body and instead of becoming a dress, it's a pant suit that is not only sexy but extremely classy as well. I love the black, white and grey colors of this piece.

My favorite "night time" look from this collection is this top. I love how it loops around the neck and the pop of color which shows a green portion of this outfit. I have always been a fan of this look and with a little Hollywood Tape, this is an outfit that will have every eye looking at you no matter where you go. Trendy Thursdays: Mansion Opens Tonight

A few years ago when I was in South Beach, I went to Mansion and fell in love with it! Now a couple of years later, it's exciting that it will be here and they are having a private opening tonight in West Chelsea and just in time for Fashion Week's last night, they will be open to the public on Friday! Mansion is definitely going to be interesting as it will take its place on West 27th street (they will be in the same location that formerly housed Crobar)! This is definitely going to be a nice place to be as we get into the spring and the summer. This weekend, make your way down to this new club.

Sippin' Saturdays: Pink 'The Perfect Party Drink'

As you'll notice, the dust is beginning to clear on the site and you'll see that we're moving and grooving in the right direction. You'll be able to find what you're looking for much easier since each day is geared towards certain topics. Going forward you can look forward to each day - knowing what you can expect.

That being said, I want to share one of my favorite drinks - Pink 'The World's Perfect Party Spirit'. I love that Pink is infused Vodka (with caffine and guarana) AND that it the bottle is such a great color that lends itself to decadent nights out and cozy evening in as well. I love that Pink is a great drink that mixes well with many mixers that are typical of Vodka Beverages. My favorite drink when having vodka is Cranberry Juice and Vodka - pink's caffinated infusion guarantees that I will be out and about for quite some time as the evening turns into early morning. make sure that you look at all of the spirits that they continue to create.
