Snazzy Sundays ~ Owl it Up

A few weeks ago, I received a fabulous owl necklace which has only made me want to think of ways to incorporate this into decor options! I'm obsessed with Heather Moore's owl charm and it's today's inspiration. For your bedroom or wherever you place your jewelry after wearin git for the day, how about this Owl Trinket Dish from Urban Outfitters. When it comes to the kitchen, we're loving that Pottery Barn has owl plates as well as a punch bowl that incorporates the owl's tree branch! This is perfect for holiday parties. Clean up spills with this dishtowel from Anthropologie and as you sip a bit of espresso, these mugs are perfect and available at West Elm.

Snazzy Sundays ~ A Night In At the Movies

Growing up it was all about enjoying movies whether it was at the theater OR making it a Blockbuster night and watching at home! I remember my mom, sister and I having our movie nights. We selected movies that we would watch throughout the night and then we'd make pizzas or whatever goodies and spread blankets out in my mom's bedroom. My mom would watch TV from her bed and my sister and I had our pillows and blankets on the ground. It was such a fun way to have fun together and in between movies we'd get snack reinforcements!

I still love this idea as watching something at home with friends and family can be a lot more fun! Today, I'm inspired by Croft PINK which is a port that can either be had alone over ice or is a great way to make a mixed beverage whether it's as a sangria, mixed with a seltzer or whatever you have come up with! I love that this rich red/pink hue looks amazing in a glass. Make your room movie ready whether it's a living room, bedroom or a second room! Lighting is everything so I'm loving Arturo Alvarez Kono Pendant Light. Whether you're a couch person or love stretching out on the floor, these large floor pillows will keep your head or bum comfy as you watch your favorite flick and is available at Pottery Barn. No matter what the temperature is, I love having a blankie and this circus stripe throw from Armand Diradourian will keep you warm, knock off the chill or is perfect for the portion of the movie that you might not want to see! Finally it's about the goodies and although my tastes may have elevated - I still love having popcorn and as opposed to icecream, sorbet is perfect during a show! Cuisinart has an Easypop Popcorn Maker and whether you're in the mood for ice cream or sorbet, this maker does both as well! Now this is how to enjoy watching a movie from the comfort of your home!

Snazzy Sundays ~ In With Friends

Now that I am settled back in NYC - I can focus on the long weekend! This one is about keeping it easy and making sure that there are plenty of beverages and snacks on hand! As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of wine and the varieties that I love continue to expand! There seems to be a club for everything that you're interested in and wine is no exception! Check out Club W which is a subscription service that allows you to choose how many bottles you want a month to come to your home (3, 6 or 12 bottles a month). You can select or have a sommelier choose them for you. I love the packaging and this is perfect to give as a gift or to ensure that you have wine on hand. I love that there are videos available online to tell you about the wine you're about to pick and/or consume which is super helpful! If you're going to have a wine party at home, make sure you have cute glasses like this set at Kohl's. Wine that needs to be chilled can be in this fabulous bucket which definitely catches your eye and is available at Horchow. For snacks, whether you use them for fries or other nibbles, the Pottery Barn has these cute mini buckets!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Game Time

Earlier today we talked about you could ensure a fun and easy brunch so that you could prepare for setting up or heading out to your Super Bowl Party! At the end of the day, a fab party is about having a number of amazing treats (those that are catered, made and come right out of the box/bag) as well as beverages! Today. I'm obsessed and will be enjoying Popcorn, Indiana Chipins! This fab popped chip comes ina number of flavors and is simply better for you! Throw them in a Nambe bowl and create or purchase the dip of your choice to make this snack complete! While you're placing other amazing nibbles out for the spread, you always need to have the drinks flowing. I'm loving this large silver tub available at Williams Sonoma which will house all of your beers that need to stay chilled! Monogram this tub as well as these beer glasses from Pottery Barn - it adds a fun touch to any event. Finally, you know that you will have a few shots so have these glasses from Bormioli Rocco on hand! Since tonight is bound to be a long one, make sure you enjoy a Mercy prior to starting the game or right after. I can tell you that drinking this definitely ensures that you don't have a hangover to battle and that you'll be fresh for work the next day or whatever/wherever your day is meant to take you!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Chanel Decks Your Decor

You know our Sunday focus takes on an article of clothing that we are drooling over and inspires us to get the rest of our home to pay homage to this! Today we're all about vintage Chanel in this fabulous berry shade and I love the trumpet detail with the fab neck. In honor of that here are some ways to pop in this fab berry/persimmon color which works well for the holiday season as well as being the perfect winter choice in terms of hues!

I'm loving Pottery Barn as they have the berry wreath motif in time for the holiday season by using the wreath as well as having that (with optional monogramming) on their pillows. It's great for the home and the perfect gift as well. For the liing room, we can never have too much Horchow and I am loving this sofa which is stately but also perfectly Victorian. Light this Voluspa candle in a fab Japonica scent. When it comes to the kitchen, I'm loving Kitchen Aid's tea kettle. For those that are thinking of one of my fave items to eat - this Roma Electric Tomato Strainer is a nice addition to the kitchen when it's time to make your famed sauce which can be canned to make a fab gift for others when they come visit you!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Feather Decor

Yesterday's post shared a fab giveaway that is available on Kitten Lounge thanks to the month long partnership with Affinitas Initma. For rules on winning a Lingerie Bundle of Goodies you'll want to click here (just 1 lucky winner). With the site focusing on bridal for the next month, we'll be including fab ways to enhance your big day or to let your bride to be friend know! Today, I'm inspired by one of the favorite accessories that a bride can use to replace using a veil - the headband! I'm loving Cara Accessories Headband which has fab feather detailing and let me start thinking of all the ways your decor can embrace feather glam from day to day as well as the upcoming holiday season!

When you're lounging in your bed or on the couch, having fun pillows to add a pop of color is a fab idea! This peacock pillow from Dwell Studio is a great way to add in a new hue and a texture without being concerned about having feathers literally being left behind! Roll over every morning with West Elm's duvet which blends in a number of fab neutral hues to create a cool sense to your boudoir decor. Move on to serving guests or significant others with utensils that have feathers on the handle thanks to Horchow.Vagabond House takes sea salt to another level with these fab dishes that are peacocks and have feather that can be used to take your allotted amount of salt to your plate.

As guests come to visit, your doorway begins a feather feel by having this fab white wreath from West Elm. Your cabinets and tables, just in time for Thanksgiving, can have super cute turkeys welcoming everyone to your feast via Pottery Barn. As you begin thinking ornaments for your tree, I'm loving these glass feather ornaments from Gump's!

Snazzy Sundays ~ A Night In the Movies

Have you had those days where you get dressed and realize that you never left the house? I think the same thing can be said about times when you want to stay in whether it's alone, with your sig other or a few friends. Sometimes going out is a bit of a hassle so why not have your own theater setting to watch movies, sitcoms, dramas and more? Today we focus on building your home theater! Now everything may make sense except for the lantern but as an Accessories Expert, let me tell you that there are times when my jewelry doesn't make it to my appointed jewelry box. Having a place to keep it in the living room that's not an eyesore is a must! So in the midst of all the Pottery Barn items that have been included, I suggest this lantern which is phenomenal as it doubles as jewelry storage! In addition, Pottery Barn has leather theater quality reclining chairs that are a must (and must be perfect for a snoozie). House your favorite plasma screen in this fab wood cabinet which is a bit of art on the wall when not in use and then opens up for all your shows and is available at Neiman Marcus. No night in would be complete without a frosty beverage and popcorn! Get your mugs ready for your favorite draft with the ability to monogram it at Williams-Sonoma, as opposed to buying your popcorn packets, this popcorn machine and popcorn bowls at Sur La Table compliment the perfect night in at the movies!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Ice Princess

Princesses need their space to reflect the peace and serenity that we so need in our lives! Today, I'm inspired by icecream and the soft tones that we think of when it comes to this sweet and creamy treat. I'm loving this comfy chair and imagine it being in a room with white furniture. Of course, there is nothing better then enjoying your treat as you also have an amazing fragrance wafting through your room of zen! What a great way to bring summer in and even when it's the fall, it's nice to have that girlie vibe within your home! Take some time to check out some of our fab finds from Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Volupsa!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Summer Kick Off

Happy Summer Kick Off! We made it! As you read this I am running through the airport so that I can get my summer started off as I spent a portion of my long weekend on air rocking it out on HSN for Sebago! Interestingly enough, our show was slated within the Americana Show which embodies everything about those great American classics. We all know what the summer means for us when it comes to the foods that we eat, how we dress etc. Whether this weekend means that you'll be rocking the classic red, white and blue or that you simply enjoy coming together - we know that you're bound to have fun. I believe that the summer is about coming together and enjoying good stories, food and beverages and having that on hand is the main ingredient to whatever your plans or last minute decisions that you make. Whether you have a large space or not, I'm loving floor pillows which keeps it casual, platters for appetizers, a cookbook of easy recipes and of course pitchers for all the bevvies that people can enjoy! I'm loving that these brands are great go to's for home decor - Williams Sonoma, Diane Von Furstenberg, Macy's and Pottery Barn.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Oscar Cocktail Parties

Tonight is one of the biggest nights in terms of awards with the 83rd Academy Awards for the Oscars airing and for those that love seeing as much glitz and glamour as possible, we'll all be glued to watching our favorite Red Carpet coverages. I'll be watching E! Red Carpet to get up to the minute access on all the dresses, accessories and more. Tomorrow, you'll see my faves and of course we will all want to know the misses which you can catch back on E! during Fashion Police with Joan Rivers! But in the midst of the show and programming wrapped around it, there are the parties. Whether you've organized something officially or are just thinking of it, we thought we would give you a hand.

As many of you know, Kitten Lounge started with a decor component and last summer, we decided to switch it out for other content. But based on comments, suggestions and fun partnerships - we're bringing it back. To get us back on track, we're presenting fab items from our fave stores that you can still run out and get some items to be Oscar watching ready! We love Pottery Barn, CB2, Crate and Barrel and West Elm! Although we don't have Williams-Sonoma, we're a fan of them too! You know that cocktails are an essential but when we think about nibbles you know that it's always a hit when it comes to cheese and sushi - or anything that you can just grab and munch on! It's nice to have an ongoing spread that is within reach so that you never have to look away from all the drama. We'll keep you in the loop on what we're loving as we will be tweeting from the start of the red carpet action and we will also let you know about people we love that are on the carpet covering live as well! Make sure to follow @Cocoabebe and @KittenLounge with the hashtag #KLOscars to stay tuned.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Welcome Fall in Your Home

It's all about the home - we spent many moments there and the dynamic of it changes as we take on new projects. It's essential to maintain this space much like we would our closets. Whether you do it little by little or take a room by room approach, here are some ideas that I have! I love the rustic chic look that Pottery Barn has right now! With us living on the beach, we also like to add these elements too. The Wine Bar Treasure Trunk is perfect for a coffee table and also to stow some of your wine as well. With a focus on the living room or a sitting area, my goal is to have an inviting space that's perfect for large and small gatherings. I love the idea of adding various baskets as it adds elements of styles that you're trying to bring together.

In addition to baskets, I have gotten into glass as well! I love natural stones and shells so adding this is a way to present ornate objects into a room and to balance it with the rustic feel. A throw blanket is a great way to add a cozy element as well! By putting everything together, you're home doesn't have the look of being an exact replica of a showroom or your favorite home store! Think about how your room will reflect all your styles in one place

Snazzy Sundays ~ Bring on The Oysters

I'm flying through the friendly skies as you're reading this or I could already be in Vegas at this point! One of my favorite nibbles to have - oysters! I love that they make you feel so classy when you're eating them and it's the perfect snack food if you're having it at a bar in Long Beach (yes NY) or in Key West! We're having an oyster party and I have created a collection of must haves! Now Paul is going to get oysters (I hope they're already opened - if not then he will need this tool to force them open! When you lay them out, it's so much easier to place it on a plate that already has the little "scoops" that make it easy for them to lay down without moving around! You can still lay them on sea salt for the overall effect. Little forks are a necessity and they're just super cute! Of course you'll have other items that are tasty as well! How about Pottery Barn's serving shells which bring in nature while also being extremely artistic. Take some time to figure out what you need for your oyster party (these are also great for any sea themed event!).

Snazzy Sundays: Contain It!

We have so many things that we have and not enough places to put it. In terms of not having space we sometimes have to have our organizational items in front of the public eye! So how about doing a little mixture of both? I love that these containers are eye catching and unlike plastic boxes these are definitely something that I would love to have around the home. I love the Wooden Trunk Boxes via West Elm as these are a great natural element that brings the outdoors inside! Whether it's jewelry or cash for the delivery guy, these are a must to have in the home. If you're thinking of a great gift, the Vivienne Jewelry Box from Pottery Barn has a great minimalist look that's perfect to place your cuffs in and who doesn't like the monogramming of your name? The wicker basket is an absolute classic; however, I am in LOVE with the Sundial Basket! Your fruits get a modern twist to them and it's like a piece of art and thus my favorite!

Snazzy Sundays: Sit Back

We all have different styles but we all like the idea of having our own chair. This chair is where we come to when it's been a long day or where we could spend a rainy day! I actually love all of these chairs and if I had to choose, it would be between the Pottery Barn chair and the one from Rooms to Go. I have to say that the chair from Wisteria is definitely a great chair that I could do my jewelry in as it has that great boho vibe to it! Whatever it is that you gravitate towards, find your chair that's perfect for reading, watching TV (it's the Oscar's today) or coming up with that next great idea!

Snazzy Sundays: We Need a Bookcase

Ah moving in with your Food Editor who also has quite an eye for design means that I don't have complete say so on what goes within our space! I love that we agree and disagree and we are definitely learning. So we have an interesting space that is upstairs and downstairs. We decided that upstairs, which is our living space, will be very Japanese like. Our bed is a beautiful platform  bed that is known as Espresso in color. This is great since I love that the wood is black with a hint of brown but I find it difficult to find additonal wooden pieces. We also have gorgeous wood floors that are more a of a cherry stain so the problems continue. We need a bookcase badly and probably a few as we are piling up on books and interesting items. But what to get? Below are some shelves that I am thinking of and believe that this can add to our theme! This weekend we went to Pearl River and we bought our first sake set!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Pottery Barn Makes a Home Office

Over the past few Sundays, I have been drooling over the Pottery Barn. They totally get it! I love that right now when it comes to creating a home office whether you work from home, need something for the weekends, etc - that they have great looks for all styles! I love that whether you're classic, minimalist or simply into the mod look, you don't have to have a boring and uninspiring work space! Check out the gallery - I have to say that the Bedford is my favorite as I always need to have tons of organization space!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Light the Way

Candle_2 I love candles! There is something warm and inviting about them. When it comes to having them out, since I have always been a Yankee Candle girl, I allow them to sit in those glass containers that they come in. But when you begin to thinking about putting your home together, you think about other ways that you can present your favorites. I have to say that these Lacquer Pillar Holders. I love that they come in various colors and heights. It's something that's old school while having a touch of something very today and working so well with your decor as well. Take some time to think about all the elements that you want to add into your home. Then take a look at Pottery Barn to see what would look best and how much you plan on getting whether you visit the store, order via catalog or online!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Bring Luxury to Your Party

ChangingcabanaYou may not be heading to the Hamptons or St Tropez for an amazing Fourth of July weekend; however, if you have a yard, rooftop or something of this nature, this Chesapeake Changing Cabana could add to the theme of your party. If you don't use it as a changing room, it could be a perfect space to sit in and get a little shade from the hot sun! If you were in NYC or nearby areas, you know how hot it was today and although it's raining up a storm, it's actually making things a bit cooler. I love the colors of this cabana which works well into this theme and it's on sale which is amazing and is currently going on at Pottery Barn!

Now that you have the shade covered, you can think of cute plates, beverages and a lot more to make your party one to remember all the way to the fireworks! Take some time to check out the site and if you have some tips, let us know as well!

Snazzy Sundays: LAGOON ~ Serenity

PbblueNo matter the season or the style of your apartment/home, having blue in your home is definitely therapeutic and should be used even if it is only a pop of color! These glass vases which are perfect to fill with liquid, flowers, marbles, etc are available in a variety of sizes at Pottery Barn and yes they can be monogrammed as well. This is such a great housewarming gift, graduation or something for you to get yourself whether you line them up in various heights, place it in your kitchen or within your bedroom. You can make your own seascape in whatever way best fits your mood or style. Of course, this will ensure that you'll either visit the store, catalog or site in order to find other items that would work as well! I love summer and a great idea!

Snazzy Sundays: LAGOON ~ Pottery Barn

DaybedI was looking at Pottery Barn this morning and began thinking of my favorite thing when it comes to the concept of LAGOON - beach houses, summer shares or wherever you go when you get away from the city for a little R&R. This super cute daybed sits on top of this platform which can either be purchased with drawers or these baskets. You may sleep in something like this when you go to your weekend shares OR if you have a studio and want to maximize space, you may have this set up to give a little Bungalow Chic to your place! Either way, this set up is so refreshing and chic and is perfect for sleeping in or lounging no matter when you use it. Take some time to check out more items on Pottery Barn and find out what other infusions of Spring and Summer are available to you!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Bring A Slice of Home to Wherever You Go

Whether you work from home or outside the house, it's nice to know that you can help the environment and bring a sense of home wherever you go. I love the idea of these containers and mugs which have a sense of personality - you'll definitely stand out as you sip by the newsstand or in the elevator when you're nearing your office. Pottery Barn definitely wants us to not only leave the paper cups along but they understand that it doesn't have to be expensive in order for us to help the planet (love the $10 price point). Take some time to visit this super cute store with all of its elements for the home and the commute.
