Paul and I ended the night at Good Units at the Hudson Hotel (which is also in our neighborhood and is super convenient) with Eva Minge which is an amazing Polish designer that I became aware of last year! I knew that the show would have some interesting pieces as I know she is about the drama but being able to see the entire collection in a French runway style definitely allowed me to see the lifestyle components of the brand. The show had a bit of something for everyone with mens and womens fashions hitting the runway, fab black and white pieces and everything from work, casual, evening and lingerie was included. In addition, I loved seeing the models who represented a myriad of looks and ethnicities which is always something that I love seeing. Make sure that you look at the video which includes the final walk as well as to find out more images that we have included!

So much for the weather report that threatened fashionistas everywhere with the possibility of our biggest series of days of getting rained out! Today, temperatures rose and my sister, Paul and I headed to Le Bain at the Standard Hotel. As the sun beat down on us on the deck and the astro turf, we were treated to a presentation by Prism which included vibrant bikinis, bathing wear for men and sunglasses! The models sunned and baked on the waterbed pods and even had a hot tub to jump into. Guests enjoyed Svedka Vodka cocktails, crepes with various options and mini popsicles in cucumber, beet and fudge. It was definitely fun to mingle with others and then head downstairs to the Standard Grill to enjoy a few beers and to cool down from the heat.

You know a show is good when you talk to Kelly Cutrone post show and she smiles and says they rocked it out. Nicholas K's show was full of phenomenal neutrals with a mix of Bohemian edge which is right up my alley! Men's and Women's looks were paraded down the runway of Lincoln Center and I love that Walk Over Shoes created the men's shoes specifically for the show. As always there is a video of the final runway footage. I am obsessed with the cream looks, gorge head scarves and the flowy dresses. This was a show where everyone left feeling good about Spring and what's to come.

Although this isn't the first official day of NYFW, I hit another fab show that was being run by the fab People's Revolution PR team (yes this is Kelly Cutrone's company and yes I did see her and have a pic of her in here) - What Goes Around Comes Around or WGACA. As the misty rain settled in, I made my way to Soho to the Soho Grand to see this fun boho chic inspired collection. I ran into Lauren Rae Levy (which we both hosted an event last year for the launch of Forever 21 in Times Square. I loved that this runway show allowed the models to walk throughout an entire floor into various rooms. It was definitely an intimate vibe and of course sipping champagne while snapping pics is always fun. Although this set up is great, it makes taking pics a bit rough but I always love filming the models do their final walk as you get the flow of the entire show in about 30 seconds (at this show you could tell it was done as other rooms would clap when the presentation ended in their section.
