Treasure Tuesdays ~ Accessorize For Easter

Easter is a few days away and the first post today gave you a peek into what my Easter basket is like for those who come by. Now, I want to share a fab look for when you're all gathering around the table whether it's going out for brunch, having dinner or beverages. Growing up, Easter meant ruffled socks dresses with a lot of bows and of course the perfect hat and Mary Janes to bring it all together. Thankfully, I have long left those days and prefer my version of rocking the perfect outfit.

THE LOOK

With it being Easter, the one styling element that I do like tying is the fact that Easter reminds me of pastels and vibrant color. When I wear lighter hues, I love pairing them with darker ones and you know that grey is my favorite color to wear. Mint has been a powerful color and trending very well over the past few seasons and when I decide to wear this, it would be in this very manner. I love something easy as I find myself on this day running around, checking on things that are going on and sharing what's new in my world. As many of you know, I'm a Tablet Crew member and was sent a Samsung Tablet to share how I use it in my day to day life. Whether it's doing my workouts, passing time on my flights in countless airport terminals or letting family members scroll through some sneak peeks of what I have coming up with a number of campaigns, this is definitely going to be put to great use this weekend.

ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK

Roll over the images to see how I accessorized this look with mint, Swarovski Crystals and more. As always, these are pieces that you'll love seeing in a number of your outfits throughout the year! What's your Easter Sunday look?

Mingling Mondays ~ Spring Break Exists

Growing up, Spring Break took on additional importance as it went from a family vacation to those that I spent with college friends. Once you get into the "real world", it's almost like some of the things that we enjoyed growing up are supposed to remain in the past! For me, I'm always traveling and thankfully, my travels during the Spring are in the islands whether I'm producing lines, doing an appearance for a brand or meeting with potential clients for initiatives that will take place later in the year. It's a way for me to bring in Spring Break as all I need are cute bikinis and a well placed maxi!

This week, I am heading off to Charleston as I have styled a runway show that is participating on in Charleston Fashion Week! Having Shoe Week take on this component is definitely exciting and with the up and down weather that has taken place (with a possible snowstorm coming), I'm glad to make my way to the historic downtown of this city! Roll over the images to see how you can enjoy Spring Break in your own way whether you're traveling or just having a moment in the city. Yellow is definitely having a moment in my closet and I love (as many know I am not someone who typically wears gold) how the gold and neutral hues play together in such a playful way. I'll be sharing information from the tents while I'm there for a quick trip and if you have time, plan your Spring Break getaway so that you can have a moment in the sun as well.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Black/White Meets Winter/Spring

Because I bounce around a number of time zones throughout the year, I'm always buying for various seasons as I never know where I will be AND even in the coldest of days, I don't wear sweaters as I'm always running around. What's always classic is black and white which works no matter what! In addition, I love to wear white year around (I totally don't agree with putting white on hold once Labor Day has passed). If you're running around here in NYC, you need a super coat and I'm loving this one by Burberry Prorsum check coat in black and white. This Max Mara Studio Felix top is perfect to wear with a number of looks and can be dressed up and down depending on what's going on - you can never forget to build the essentials within your closet. Pair this with Mes Demoiselles white leggings which is always chic.

Keep your legs looking long and luxe by rocking these over the knee calfhair boots in black by Le Silla (another obsession of mine). Continue the accessory love with a number of fabulous pieces. I'm not an earring person but I do love that these elongate your neck by Me & Ro. To add a little extra edge to this look, this Repossi ring has a great stacked effect and is black gold and diamonds. I love playing with neutrals and this Sydney Evans bracelet with pave black diamonds is fabulous. Growing up, I didn't like gloves because I couldn't wear jewelry and I hated taking things on and off. As many of you know, I rock large rings and they don't fit in gloves but once I moved to NYC about 10 years or so ago, I fell for fingerless gloves! It allowed me to text and to wear my jewelry - these gloves by DSquared are super cute and once again, add a bit of edge to this fresh look. Finally, I love the ode to old school classics (I remember rocking Dooney and Bourke when I was in middle and highschool) with this fab Dooney and Bourke bag which has the satchel effect.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Pre NYFW Wrap Up Meetings

We're a little over a week from the kick off of NYFW. What I love about this season is that right before the shows, there are a number of activities that are taking place that I'll be hosting, supporting others and more. I'm spending my time running to showrooms to finish styling my clients who will be attending shows, brands who I'm styling their shows and some clients who will just be in the city as NYFW ends on Valentine's Day. How do you dress when you're in work mode and running around like crazy? I love to do it with the look above! I obsess over the perfect white shirt over a pair of leggings, fab over the knee boots scarves and some fab accessories! This takes me from me showrooms, event spaces, cocktails with friends in the city and those coming in and my fab clients that love grab sushi and cocktails. This is a great day to night look and one that works as you go.

I start with the basics - I love a short sleeve tee that's draped this is great to layer but even in this freezing weather, I opt for no sleeves this shirt by Armani Collezioni that can be paired with these faux leather pants (sexy) by Generation Love which elongates the leg. I love that you can add a cozy layer with this infinity scarf by by Swell. Complete the look with my go to, over the knee boots by Sergio Rossi.

Bundle up against the cold with these super cute earmuffs by Coach and this fabulous purple coat with fur trim by Alberta Ferretti - how cute is it when this is all together.

Now it's all about the accessories. My eyes are sensitive in the sun in the winter as the cold air definitely makes me tear up. Rock these oversized sunglasses Givenchy frames. Karl Attens has a fabulous pair of fingerless gloves accessorized with fun Swarovski Crystals. Since I'm always on my phone, it's easier for me to rock this look as opposed to having completely covered fingers. Finally, it's all about the bag. This Michael Kors satchel is the perfect way for me to bring everything I need. This is the perfect item for those fashionable errands, meetings and the tent.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Lovely Chic

It's that season! Everyone is trying to do a better work/life balance by getting things done while also ensuring that we meet with friends before the year closes. We make the right decision in taking care of those that we hold dear whether it's buying gifts, having lunches, sending cards and more. We love rocking out with fun looks as we know our days will be longer and with chilly temperatures on the other side, we know that it's a matter of time before we're somewhere cozy having the essential F's - food, friends/family and fun!

To look good no matter what, we want to ensure that we're ready for wherever our days take us! I'm loving this
Coldwater Creek crinkled shimmer shirt which is so cute and has texture visually as well as physically. Pair this with a fab pair of skinnies by Joe's Jeans (I live in jeans from this brand and they never fall short of expectations)! Complete the look with a number of fab items including this Rachel Zoe faux fur coat which has such a chic look. Add a pop of color into this neutral look with this coral/rose medium satchel by Chloe. Add a few extra inches with Laurence Dacadewhich are black and gold and are stretch suede. Rock this ring with Daniela De Marchi which is bronze and quartz coral ring which is a favulous cocktail piece that looks amazing and brings in warmth to your overall look.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Natural Coral

I love the coral look as it's always fresh, calming and vibrant! Yesterday, I stumbled into my local Rockefeller Anthropologie store and fell in love with this decadent top that embraced my inner boho chic aesthetic. The back of the top is something that you have to check out. Immediately, I knew it was perfect for my HSN appearance next month as I love things that have a little room when I'm moving around chatting it up about my shoe collection. I would pair this with coral denim leggings from Topshop and keep it simple with these Gianvito Rossi lace up gladiator sandals which are super cute! Finally rock it out with Effy Collection in this fabulous ring and a simple beaded lariat by Chan Luu. Finally bring the coral back into this look with Brahmin to store it all in.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Rock Colored Denim

Now I love jeans - especially the dark ones but I have bitten by my new love of rocking colored denim. This officially went live when I was on HSN this weekend and was wearing Citron colored denim! Now I'm thinking of going beyond this and into more hues! It's so fun and a nice way to spark pop into your outfit while also loving the joy that denim (stretch please) can give! Today's look is inspired by this new love! Loving the Enza Costa creates a number of angles that make this look fab.

Of course, we have to bring some fabtastic bling into this look with neutral tones! I love this set of 3 slim Urban Warrior bangles by my favorite python designer, Ted Rossi. My new obsession is Dara Ettinger with this Lori Three Bezel Cluster Sunset Ring which is a nice way to show off fabulously polished fingers! Sergio Rossi knows about rocking the heel in a fun way! I love mixing the black and white bangles with a python in the caramel hue thanks to these platform sandals. Finally, you have to carry your favorite possessions in a luxe way - check out Mulberry's Soft Travel Soft Matte Top Handle. The embellishments on this bag are fantastic as you can only have the best hardware on your bag to showcase your sense of style!

Mingling Mondays ~ West Coast Bound

Vacations seem to be few and far between but I am constantly traveling! Tomorrow I will jet off to LA to mix business and pleasure together! I'm excited to be with my boyfriend on his Social TV conference that he produced and will be on panels for, I'll be working on a number of items involving the ever growing Kimmie brand and of course taking some much needed down time/ I'm loving that I will have a chance to enjoy some time by the pool!

When it's time to have some pool time, I believe in rocking it out! First you have to start with the bikini, I'm loving DVF who has an awesome zebra beaded ensemble which is perfect! Make it look super cute by slipping on a pair of shorts by Rag & Bone. Super cute shorts beg to have fab heels on and when in a bikini, I love rocking wedges and this pair by Brian Atwood is amazing! Rock on a pair of sunglasses with Tom Ford and finish it off with Bottega Veneta's woven leather satchel which is the perfect way to take much needed down time - when you can!

Mingling Mondays ~ Morning Sunshine

Ever since Paula Patton rocked canary yellow on the red carpet during the Golden Globes - I have been looking for ways to bring this hue into my wardrobe. Now many of you who are connected to me on Facebook or on Twitter weighed in on Paula's bold look when I shared a way that one could wear it in a super cute short style by Cynthia Rowley. Some said that the color was still bold and that accessories definitely should be used to tone the color down. Today I present a muted yellow that is also layered with a grey tank. I am known for wearing tanks year around and am able to do so in the colder season by having layers! I love the burnout jersey tanktops by T by Cut 25. I would pair this over jeggings by Black Orchid Thunder (loving the side zips which add a little sass) and of course, I can stay warm by rocking T by Alexander Wang. The best thing about this cardigan is it travels well and it has a hood which will always keep you looking chic. Mixing the yellow and grey together ensures that any bold color you were concerned about - no longer becomes a problem.

Slip on these fab boots from Report (as you know that I am a huge fan of their shoes especially their thigh high boots - love the pair I have in brown) which will complete the look. I ADORE Melanie Georgacopoulos pearl and chain necklace mixing sweet and edgy together and adding a fun layer into the overall look. Effy Collection has a fun ring which is perfect for this laid back look whether you're catching a flight, popping into meetings or running errands. Slip on these stacked pyrite bracelets by Lisa Freede and end the entire look with Fendi's gorgeous satchel bag which adds another yellow but is playful and whimsical.

Mingling Mondays : Kimmie's 5s ~ Citrus Spring

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday and I know that many will still continue to gift others and continue to enjoy the festivities. This week, Kitten Lounge looks to 2012 as it is bound to be an exciting and hectic time. It seems like we'll be in warm climates and the fact that everything that I saw on the runways during NYFW SS12 from color, prints, cuts and more are now available - I'm already looking how to include it within my wardrobe! I am a big believer in kaftans and this year, I will have a number of opportunities to rock this look whether I'm on the East Coast on fabulous beaches in the south in between meetings or on the West Coast! Note that kaftans are not just recreational but can be worn as complete looks which have been recreated here. The biggest takeaway of color to incorporate this season is Citrus - specifically: Clementine, Tangerine and Coral. These hues dominated the runways for men and women and whether you place it within your apparel or your accessories, you will be on trend without question.

Begin your look with your canvas which is this Babajaan maite grey kaftan with fringe. I love this hue and to truly make this neutral look pop, it's time to add citrus! Oliver People's is one of my fave brands when it comes to sunnies as they have a retro flare that I embrace. This oversized look creates a bit of a nod to a 70s flare which is always on trend no matter the look. Tiffany & Co presents a citrine ring which is the perfect cocktail to carry whether it's that time of day or not. Include this bracelet by Alexander McQueen which pops in the pyramid rivet style on a brass cuff. Slip on a pair of cork pumps with spikes by Christian Louboutin. Finally, a look isn't a look without a fabulous bag and I am officially in love with Michael Kors' ostrich embossed leather satchel bag which is full of color and texture in a vibrant tangerine.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ NYFW Musts Checklist

I start my days during NYFW checking to see how my schedule needs to be updated as there are always invites that come in, media lounges to attend and a few other appearances that I am asked to go to. I spend the days prior to Fashion Week lining up my closet with items that will be perfect for all these events as my days send me running from tents and this season I will be launching my line as well. But no matter what, I have my basics that get me through the 9 days of madness. Some items are my tried and true such as my Cocoa Butter which keeps my skin enriched and soft, I also love my NARS Body Glow which gives a nice hue and my Urban Decay 24/7 as I believe in black eyeliner. Now I have an entire new arsenal series of beauty products that are a must and will carry me through this season.

I love love love M.A.C.'s Semi Precious Mineralize Eyeshadow which is a nice way to add a little something to my eyes, I fell in love with NP Set after listening to Napoleon Perdis show a small group of us his new made for Target collection before I went off to HSN and of course I have been a fan of Coach Poppy Fragrance so now having the rollerball that has their new scent in there as well as the previous one is always nice to refresh me between shows.

When it comes to my accessories, I can never go wrong with any of the Virgins, Saints and Angels rings as it's a great way to add wow factor to my hands (since I gesture a lot and they look amazing in pictures), I'm also all about stilettos and am obsessed with Vince Camuto at the moment especially anything that is studded (doesn't matter if I'm in leggings or if I am in a super cute dress) and finally Rebecca Minkoff's M.A.B. in python is the cutest satchel that can allow me to take all of my goodies along with me and yet remain so stylish!
