I Love Lucy, Anthropologie and a lot of those ultra femme looks that bring the past into the present! I love wearing dresses like this because I think that it shows the figure so well and looks amazing with peep toe pumps. This black and white polka dot dress is my absolute favorite from this site. I love the halter back and the bow (oh so Lucy) and I love that it zips up the back, has some ruching and is a little stretchy in the fabric. Of course you can have a cocktail party as well and pair it up with a cute apron from Anthropologie. As you walk around, you can also wear a super cute clutch with this as well which is another great touch. A few weeks ago, Diane Von Furstenburg presented their Resort 2009 collection. First off, you know that I love DVF and this is my favorite dress of the entire collection. There is something to be said for classic lines, interesting prints and the use of classic colors too! All of that put together makes for a classic look that is also dynamic which will let you stand out. Can you believe that June is almost over? Fourth of July is days away and so you have to think about what you're doing, what party you will plan and more. Well here is a drink that you could make for your guests during your party - American Patriotic Tea! I love that this recipe on Cocktail Times is one that you can modify with a variety of flavors! If you love this recipe, you'll have to visit the site to find a lot more that would work with a number of dinners, events and more that you'll host! For me, I would add raspberry liquer in this as well as I think that that would be a refreshing flavor. I think even adding in a molasses taste would be nice as well. So definitely try it like this and then let your creativity kick in!

AMERICAN PATRIOTIC TEA RECIPE

Ingredients:

- 4 cups water

- 1/2 cup sugar

- 8 black tea bags

- 1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges

- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

- 2 cups American Honey liqueur

In a large saucepan, boil 4 cups water. Add 1/2 cup sugar; stir to dissolve. Remove from heat; add 8 teabags of black tea. Steep 10 minutes; discard teabags. Add 4 cups cold water; transfer to pitcher and chill. Mash or muddle lemon wedges and add to pitcher. Add 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, crush mint until fragrant. Stir in 2 cups of American Honey liqueur. Serve over ice.

I love the fact that at any given time there are Fashion Week shows taking place around the globe. This is a great way to see the creativity of so many designers. In terms of staying with the theme of this month, I wanted to choose some amazing designs that have elements of THINK CITRUS. I love this outfit because of the super cute cami and skirt with this beautiful wrap across the top. This definitely makes me think of wearing this at a cocktail event on a beach or someones loft that has a beautiful deck. The embellishment is absolutely gorgeous and I enjoy the trims as well. I think that she definitely looks like a princess.

I have to say that this outfit is my absolute favorite! I love the pops of yellow and that it ties on the side. Once again I think there is something very regal about this and I love the black, white, silver and orange hues. You can never go wrong with a super cute clutch as well. This is definitely something that would be cute to wear at South Beach during some amazing event.

I like the blend of the sheer tones of orange and black. If I were wearing this, I would so wear this with Carnelian or an Agate stone that picks up these gorgeous tones. I love the beaded portions on the top of this dress and definitely feel that this is the perfect dress to wear to a gala and to set you apart from the typical "black gown" that people gravitate towards. Ok I have to admit, I get sucked into reality shows which is why I do try to avoid them but it gets to be too much and I either see it every time it airs OR I catch it on a marathon. Case in point, the title of this post comes from one of those shows. TV aside, Maptote makes the cutest tote and hobo bags that let you rep your city! Sorry for the tiny image but I am so excited about this new eyeshadow that I purchased at Sephora from NARS Cosmetics. I love that their new Spring 2008 Collection has amazing shades that add a bitter of shimmer. This shade is known as Night Clubbing - it is black mixed with gold pearls! Those who know me know that I am not a gold girl; however, I loved the shimmer that I received when I tried this on. Depending on what you fall in love with, you'll be ready for the clubs in no time whatsoever. The secret to the amazing and seductive portion of this collection is the fact that pearls of various colors are mixed in to give you that amazing look! Nothing is better than playing with your makeup and giving yourself a variety of looks. I am so falling in love with this line and can't wait to test it out in Las Vegas next month during Project, Lingerie Show and Magic!

Don't laugh, you may need to ask and get this one day! Spare Soles has all of us in mind in terms of tired feet that need pampering, tootsies that unexpectedly needed to glam up and you didn't bring the right shoes or you simply felt that you wanted to put your best foot forward! I had the opportunity to wear the cutest shoes this week/end from Spare Soles. First off, I carry so much in my bag that it's important to me that whatever I need to have is as slim as possible. Secondly, it needs to be something that looks stylish. The other day I slipped out this super cute pouch from my back and felt like Dorothy except I was in silver shoes. I love that these ballerina shoes fold easily and have super cute bows that make these shoes more than just a back up. In fact, I love that they definitely get noticed and look so cute when you pair them with baby doll dresses and jeans. You never have to hide your feet again due to an unexpected outing that suddenly needs your attention. When you're not using this, simply slip it back in its wristlet and place it back in your bag. Although I must say, the other night, I did use it as a wristlet and place my Metro Card and a few dollars within this bag. I have been and always will be a fan of Wonder Woman. I used to love watching her when the show was on TV (and I love that it's out on DVD). If you're out and about with me, you know that I love my graphic tees. Nothing is better than being out and about during the weekend wearing any number of comfortable outfits. We're still in that great season where we can enjoy wearing a sweatshirt.
