Mingling Mondays: Events ~ TJ Maxx & Spring 13

Even though I can't complain about our winter at the moment, I am definitely looking forward to the Spring! There's something about wearing lighter coats until eventually, you're not wearing a coat at all which puts an extra bounce in your step. The week before last, I headed over to TJ Maxx's Spring preview which showcases what they have in their stores from a number of fun blazers, maxi dresses and more! I have to say that I fell in love with a pink Cynthia Rowley blazer, Alice + Olivia shoes (pictured above) and more! In addition to a number of pieces within their stores being straight from the runways of your favorite brand, I loved that they shared fabulous trends that are dominating the season - many of them being ongoing classes! I loved this Black and White group as I love wearing these hues together - very chic! When putting your look together, it comes from a number of sources that allow your outfits to truly pop.

Treasure Tuesdays: NYE 2012 ~ Black and White Chic

Each day it's getting closer and closer to NYE and of course we'll be showcasing some of our favorite looks. Today, it's a nod to menswear as well as black and white which is always chic. We're loving this Elizabeth and James black and white tuxedo which can be paired over these LAgence suede leggings as well! Complete the look with a simple cami and then layer on accessories to finish this look! I'm loving this resin Tory Burch necklace with chain detail as well as (of course) this Balenciaga city bag which includes everything you need for a night out. Finally, these simple Lorenzi heels make this utter perfection!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Charcoal and Pink

One of my favorite color combos is charcoal and pink fused together! It's fun to wear if you're off to work, running to meetings or even to have drinks with the girls. I'd say rock this look out with the following items - start off with this fab pink ruffled blouse which is the perfect femme quality to add to this look by Moschino Cheap & Chic. Pair this with fabulous skinny jean leggings by
Adriano Goldschmied and add a bit of texture with this charcoal and pink blazer via Paul Smith! Of course it's all about fabulous accessories which will up this look to a whole other level. I'm loving this fabulous ring by
Mossa by M.g. which has a bit of a caged look with this pink quartz ring. Continue this look by adding in this large fan charcoal bracelet by Alexis Bittar and add a bit of a rocker edge with Camilla Skovgaard as we're a fan of spikes and love how fabulously pink these heels are.

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ John Richmond

Earlier this summer, John Richmond looks hit the runway during the men's shows in London. I am a huge fan of blazers, sport coats, fab scarves and more for men! There is something so classic about this and a number of ways to do it as well! Check out some of these looks and see how you would rock it for him!

Mingling Mondays: SS2012 Trends ~ Shay Mitchell

Over the past few weeks you have noticed some rolling changes and I have another one from you. As an Accessories Expert, I always love connecting you with amazing finds or showing you how I would enhance a look that I already love. I'm excited to bring a new format to Kitten Lounge - simply roll over the images and be directed to more information without having too much text to clutter the space!

This weekend, ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars star, Shay Mitchell attended Teen Vogue's Back-To-School Event rocking one of our favorite looks cas to glam hot pink blazer, white cami and a cute pair of leather shorts that are cut in a romper style. She paired this with neon limon nails, a turquoise beaded necklace, blush pumps and an agate ring. Of course I had to enhance the look just a bit with a number of pieces that are perfect to top off this look and become great staples for whatever you're wearing.

I love this Botswana Agate Ring by Chan Luu which is a great neutral, of course these fab double platform heels by Rachel Zoe are perfect and have a bit of twise as I love that the ankle has a bit of a point - as someone who adores shoes, this is such a great paor to have in your closet. I'd switch out her limon nails for a soft butter melon hue by Butter London known as Bumster. Finish the look off with this fab turquoise necklace by Kendra Scott.

Treasure Tuesdays: London 2012 Olympics ~ Perfect for All Seasons

We're days away from the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics! I'm loving the nautical look of Serbia's look that we will see Friday evening! From the blazer, shoes and even his scraf - I love Zakstra is going to present. There is a lot of attention to detail and piping!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Hitting the Club

If you follow me on Twitter (@CocoaBebe), you know that I was at Webster Hall for my sister's East Meets West event which brought the groups (Rize & Fade) that she reps as a DIgital Publicist for an amazing show with various people in the industry! Now I typically don't go to this venue so how do you dress to be chic and yet super comfy as you sip your beer? This was an easy look for me and I wanted to highlight a few accessories for a recreation of the look OR to pick up so that you have them for a future look!

I'm obsessed with a brand called Aqua which is available at Bloomingdales (and I believe is an inhouse brand of this department store) This blazer is shirred at the 3/4 sleeve and is a nice ponte knit that can be dressed up and down! I headed over to H&M and picked up a simple pair of knit pants, this fab black and white striped tops that is about 4 inches longer in the back and layered under it is a black tank! I have had this sherbert orange hued scarf for a million years from Gap. My rings of choice as always is my onyx Ana Reign ring and my San Benito from Virgins, Saints and Angels. My wrap bracelet is from Linea Pelle and I love that is provides depth and texture - such a staple. I obsess over my Brahmin collection and this Nicolette Dream Bag from the blogger collection is chic, roomy and can definitely play hard! Finally, I have been chatting it up about wedges for weeks and have the perfect comfy pair from Miss Trish (who just had a meet and greet in Dadeland last weekend)! Although my tan pair is a one of a kind, she has a number of pieces that are within this look and I love this pink sherbert pair which is available! I love that it feels like you're on clouds and when you're running around on your feet for hours, this is a go to!

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ Spring Dapper

I love seersucker, madras, fun plaid and more on men and women! How does one accessorize this look? First of all, when it comes to the classic preppy look for men, you can't go wrong with Polo Ralph Lauren! I'm loving the plaid blazer, seersucker shorts, a fab tie and how can you not love the shoes that this model is rocking! The weekender bag by Balenciaga is fabulous and is the perfect item for you to rock whenever he has left it behind! Whether you're doing a pre-summer Hamptons jet setting weekend or are taking a long weekend in a hideaway, this is the chic way to go about it! I believe that every guy needs to have a Signet Ring by Werkstatt Munchen which has a fabulous pattern on the front of it. Not only is this piece amazing, but the same designer also has a silver chain bracelet that is definitely one that he will enjoy wearing. Finally, I have been a fan of Albertus Swanepoel since an accessories roundtable during New York Fashion Week in 2010. I love his fedoras as they are a great way to top off a look and once again, you can wear it whenever he has left it behind.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Rock Layers

I hesitate to say it but in NYC, we've had one of the best winters ever! In many ways, we've been able to leave the house with a lighter jacket on and layers. Since it's almost mid March, we need to continue thinking Spring and rocking as many layers as possible! I'm all about taking super cute looks and keeping it easy. Pair this grey tank from Splendid with these super cute skinny jeans from Faith Connexion which has a great rinse and distressing on it. Top it off with Rachel Zoe's tailored leather jacket which is definitely a nod to menswear and will make you look ultra femme. To take this look for casual runs to the office and then to go out for drinks and beyond, I have fab accessories that you can layer in! First off, I'm DROOLING over Burberry Prorsum's rich plum clutch which I have been seeing in the windows currently and is always a head turner. Pair this look with these hinged bracelets (love mine) from Alexis Bittar to add in a pop of jewels and you can never go wrong with a cork heel. I'm loving this paisley brown toned shoe which is a great neutral fro Theodora & Callum. Finally, I love rocking fab rings on my hand and this one by Charriol has a nice texture and that casual bling which can go from day to night!

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ Giorgio Armani Fall 2012/2013 Winter Menswear Fashion Week

With Fashion Week officially starting here in NYC, we had to show a fab show of men's that took place last month in Milan! What I love most about Giorgio Armani, is that he knows a thing or two about outerwear! I love his double breasted leather jackets as well as pea coats! The classic winter coat layered over a vest is another perfect look. I'm loving the blazer with the glasses - so chic and how about fab bags being carried by these well suited gentlemen?

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ Rocks Charcoal

I love shades of grey when it comes to my looks so of course, I had to share with the guys how they can do the same with whimsy. Let's kick it off with this fab velvet blazer in charcoal by D&G. I love how they layered this over a Coca Cola shirt which is a great way to take a piece and to dress it down a bit. Continue by pairing it with distressed pants that are a greyed denim which is also D&G. Slip on a pair of Prada which are also sueded. Although it's perfect for the festive season, this Yohji Yamamoto scarf completes the look as many guys try to hold onto not wearing a serious coat for as long as possible as we continue to be in transition. Finally, Gucci is a fun way to rock out this look. Whether you're brunching, going to shop for packages or any other activity, you've got the perfect look!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ His Style: Day to Night

He's all about working on a number of projects, running from one event to the next and ending the evening with cocktails mixed with a bit of a business talk when need be. He needs to be versatile and know that he doesn't have to change his outfit a number of times throughout the day when he has a fab look that works well with so many things. In that light, today's neutral look is perfect to share with the guy in your life. First off, it's all about the cashmere blazer from Bottega Veneta which can be dressed up and down depending on where he is off to. Pair it with the perfect pair of skinnies by November. Of course, it's all about the details and I'm a huge fan of Robert Graham who has a number of fab shirts that have great cuff detail (one of the things I remember about Paul's shirt when I first had a dinner date with him is that he had cuff detail when his cuff was folded up and I believe it was a Robert Graham)!

Rock fab accessories with Gucci's rose gold watch, a fab pair of camel suede boots from Salvatore Ferragamo which has a fab pop of blue in it and is wing tipped style. Finally, you can rock a nice bag that will look amazing by wearing Marc New York's leather satchel which has a fab aged look.

Mingling Mondays ~ Blushing for Fall

The air is crisp, latte's are not only tastier but a necessity to keep our hands warm and layers sounds like your best friend! Yes - fall is here and although we will have the random warm nights (like last night) there is an undeniable feel to the changes in the seasons. I'm all about lighter hues and tones so I'm setting the fall in the right direction with nudes and blush tones. I am obsessed with Alberta Ferretti and this top is like a floating dream. From the high neck to the sleeveless top and of course I love the bit of a tail that comes out - you can think of popping on a blazer on those times when you want to layer up.

This paired over a simple pair of textured leggings is perfection! I love Reed Krakoff's leather and suede wedge ankle boots that embrace the fall season while being full of whimsy and perfect for traveling. Pop on a bracelet from Chan Luu (after wearing them on air on HSN - I'm such a fan) and of course a ring by Stephen Dweck which I have been a fan of for years.

We have been talking about that great preppy since of style over the past few weeks and as the weather continues to warm up we know that we will be ditching sweaters, coats and such to begin rocking spring/summer looks of polo shirts, maxis and so much more. This means we definitely want to refresh our wardrobes so I'm happy to introduce you to to Crew Clothing! This is such a fun nautical meets your everyday lifestyle brand and of course men's and women's apparel are both carried here! I love that they have a number of shirts that are perfect to go jetting off to the Hamptons, for BBQ's and of course just hanging out and getting things in your life done! There are also a number of dresses for all of the events and parties that we go to or make up on the fly. Wearable Wednesdays ~ His Style is Classic

There is something about a guy that can rock a blazer and look fab while paired with jeans. I love that we live in a time where it's expected that we have this hybrid of classic/trendy chic style. For a guy, that means that casual dressing can definitely be amped up with simple details. This look reflects something that I have definitely enjoyed seeing out more and more. I think that more guys should have amazing blazers whether they are solid colors, pinstripes, tweeds and so much more. Pairing it with a driver is such a great look that works well when you're heading to the office, consultations and out for drinks. Although you will rarely see me with a watch on, I think it is classic for a guy and his prime signature! This is definitely something that works in all seasons and will make your closet well balanced.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Core Pieces From Day to Night

Later on tomorrow night, I'll be back in NYC but for now I'm enjoying my business trip which has brought me to the DR. I may enjoy rocking maxis when the weather is warm but as the chill sets in - here are 4 pieces that are a must as I'm on my way back home. I love the above look as I can run to meetings, Editor's appointments and drinks later on without worrying about whether my look will work. I live for tanks and when it comes to layering up, I love having a tank that fits slightly loose. It looks fab when paired with a blazer but if it gets warm, you can simply wear it with your leggings and I love knowing that it covers my pants to the hip. The blazer is fab as it always pulls your look together and you can rock a cute necklace or even a series of cuff to complete everything. Finally, a pair of peep toe pumps in patent leather makes you NY chic and ready! Whether you're rocking leather leggings or a ruched pair, this is a fun essential to have. There are so many ways to play up this look whether you swap a blazer with one that has sequins or suede - always fun or whether you want to integrate more color.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Easy Fall Classics

Can you believe that tomorrow is Sept - I can't believe it which means next month is Oct and we're almost in the holiday season. Before I get ahead of myself, let's close out Aug with focusing on looks in your closet. What I love most about Fall is the fact that you can play with layers which is always fun. I'm definitely going to be rocking skinny jeans and leggings, a long tank or 3/4 sleeve top and a long cardigan or blazer. What I love about this look is that it looks fab with a pair of heels, booties or riding boots! In addition, you can play with cuffs, necklaces of various lengths and more. You can rock a belt, the possibilities are endless. This is a basic idea but where you go with it and what accessories you throw in are only going to enhance what it is about you that you want to share with others. Many of these pieces are just great core basics that you should have in your closet anyway! Think about ways of taking simple items and jazzing it up whether you're going to the office, having a meeting or hanging out with friends later!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Old & New World

I love a mix of old and new! There are times when you have places to be and you have no idea how your day will shake out. I think that you have to think versatile so that you look your best! First off, when I was at the Kate Spade event last week, I fell in love with the Gabby. This shoe begs to be paired with a fab pair of skinny jeans, a simple slubby tank and a cute blazer. This is perfect for meetings, going out to lunch/brunch or wherever the day takes you. Of course this look needs a chunky necklace to keep everything fresh and youthful! All you need to complete this look is a cocktail ring, a fab bag and of course sunglasses as you run off to your next meeting!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Even a Stylist Loves To Be Styled

As many of you know beyond my work on Kitten Lounge, I also work with a number of clients to style them for a number of their day to day activities (currently, I'm taking on new clients that are looking to spruce up their wardrobes here in NYC). When I'm not assisting them, I pop into boutiques so that I can see things that I would love to wear! One of my best friends works at an amazing showroom, Carlisle Collection! This is a great place to go each season to try on a number of items in a posh setting. Although you don't leave with your purchases, when they do come in, you have the ability to get them tailored! I love the super large rooms to dress in, the personal attention and the little details that take you away from shopping with others who are looking at the same rack or are waiting to get into a fitting room. With so many outfits available, you have so many great pieces to infuse in your wardrobe! Stay tuned for a future event of Kitten Lounge's where I will take my clients with me to this fab place! It's understandable that women come here throughout each season to get a jump on their wardrobes. They're able to build relationships and to enjoy the art of shopping with true joy.

After about an hour and a half, I found a number of dresses, blazer and pants that will be a part of my new collection! The dress above is one that I knew I would love as soon as I saw it online and after putting it on and suggesting some tweaks, this is definitely going to be amazing when I need to go to a press event day or night! To that end, I have paired this dress with fab pieces. This is like the Little Black Dress 3.0! It's super sexy and the embellishments on it make it look even sleeker! I even love the belt which is adjustable. The end of April can't come soon enough! The accessories are amazing and I love love love the Horn Cuff which really adds a different element to this dress!
