There's no excuse for not bringing in nature to your home! I love that no matter whether you live on 5 acres or in a shoe box, you can always add plants! Living in Long Beach, LI, I love that the beach is seconds away but being from the Midwest, I love knowing that there are trees nearby. I love bonsai and I love bamboo! Eastern Leaf is one of my favorite sites as they sell everything that you see in the spread and more. Not only is it reasonably priced but they have various sizes which work for whatever you're trying to add to your home. Over the next few weeks, you'll find out what I'm buying for my home as I'm in the midst of some sprucing and since I'm going for a Japanese vibe, why not start with my plants? Sippin Saturdays: Plum Wine

Fuki_plum One weekend my boyfriend and I went out to a really good sushi restaurant in Long Beach and I happened to order a plum wine. I did it because it sounded really good and as much as I love Sake, I wasn't really interested in having it. I loved how sweet and smooth it was! Later on that weekend when we made dinner, we bought Sake and Plum Wine, intending to have it together as a Bonsai. We ended up just drinking the Plum Wine and more specifically, we had selected Fu-Ki Plum. Now I am truly hooked on plum wine and although I have had it with Sake, I prefer to drink it alone. The other weekend we went to Sushi House in Hoboken and I had their Plum Wine - so it is confirmed that this is something that I do enjoy having even when I'm not eating it with sushi or fish. It is absolutely refreshing and I think that it works well with all seasons which is very important as well. I look forward to trying the different kinds and seeing the ways that it can be mixed together.
