Wearable Wednesdays ~ Henrieta Duffner

One of the things that I love most about what I do is being able to learn about new designers. It's not just finding out about them but realizing that I have had the fashionable "ah ha" moment where I know I have met a line that my closet is incomplete without! This took place when I was introduced to Henrieta Duffner (yes she is the one modeling her own line) and realized that if she does come here for Fashion Week, then this would be one that I wouldn't want to miss! In addition, her Summer collection was so clean and yet dynamic that I can't wait to see what her next season will look like. I love that this does have a mix of Old Hollywood and Audrey Hepburn while adding something very new and distinctive. What are my favorites? There's no way that I could even pick one! If you're going to an event, brunch or anywhere where you feel that you need to turn heads, then this is the collection that will do it without making you look like you have tried too hard to do it!

Happy Easter! Whichever way you happen to spend it, I hope it's a lot of fun! Sunday is perfect for brunch and I love thinking about the idea of going back home with your friends with a great cup of tea. Whether it's warmed or chill, it's a nice way to spend a great day! I think that the teapot is super cute and I love the glasses as well which fit well within the hand. In addition, I love that there are so many tea options. How about a cute pyramid baggie that infuses the tea or you can enjoy a loose leaf version as well.

This has been the best weekend, for many of you, you had a half day on Friday, then came Valentine's Day which is a great way to spend with your significant other or special someone(s) and then (if you're in NYC), you woke up to a gorgeous day that begs to be taken advantage of! The fact that this is President's weekend and we can actually enjoy the Sunday without Monday blues - AMAZING! Sunday brunch is one of the best meals of the entire week! I love trying different places or going to one of my favorites (Paris Commune) in the West Village. Today I am doing my first brunch in Brooklyn and I am super excited! During the summer, I would love to host a brunch and anytime you have friends over, presentation becomes everything. I am all about Moroccan elements and a little of the boho style as well. I have created a little spread of great pieces (I love the beverage servers with their antiqued look). If you're thinking of having brunch and are considering items I would suggest the following: a great theme, serving platters, cute glasses, plates and great pitchers! Have a happy sunday and for many of us, we will be off tomorrow so enjoy the long weekend!

Fashionable Fridays: DVF Is My Choice

I have been in love with DVF's style for a number of years and it was my photoshoot at their store and wearing an amazing piece from their collection that truly made me feel that her style was for me. In a perfect world I would have quite a bit of DVF in my closet (not to say that I could ever part with my Carilyn Vaile or my Tracy Reese - but there's room for everyone in my closet). To that end, I am excited to begin shopping DVF's selection of super cute dresses (perfect for brunch, rooftop affairs and so much more) and of course I love her tops which look amazing with jeans! Mingling Mondays: Mikie Squared

Mikiesquared Yesterday my boyfriend and I spent some time in Hoboken. If we are going to live there we had to get acquainted with some of the amenities which would be bars, restaurants and boutiques. We spent brunch at Mikie Squared and thankfully, due to the good weather, we were able to sit outside and do a lot of people and puppy watching! I loved the vibe and the $10 Sangria Pitchers were a great way to start the morning as well. I can only imagine being here on football weekends! If you're looking for a place with various screens, a great outdoor area and a fun vibe on the inside, this is definitely where you need to go!

What I love most about this clutch from Antoinette Lee Designs is the criss cross pattern of the Vita Stitch Clutch! I love the leather and the gold hardware that makes this look super cute. The center strap can be adjusted to create more of a shape which can make it much easier to hold in your hand as you go in and out of brunch locations and your favorite boutiques as well. Wearable Wednesday: Rock American Apparel

Aa1 One of my favorite places to buy from is American Apparel! I love the idea that many of their pieces allow you to wear items in a few ways so that you can have your own look! That being said, every now and then, I like to visit their site to what is coming out soon. Take a look at this High Waisted Jersey Skirt. I love that this is so cute with the shirt that they paired with it, tanks and so much more. This is definitely cute for work or to attend an event!

Aa2 Now here is this High Waisted Jersey Skirt worn as a halter dress with a cute short skirt portion on the bottom! This is so something that I would wear during Fourth of July, the Hamptons and so many more places. Put on your Grecian flip flops and you're set for shopping, brunch and so many more events in the city.
