While I was away at the Essence Music Festival at Crest, there were a number of celebrities making the rounds throughout New Orleans! Carol's Daughter had their pop up shop which allowed people to buy a number of their products AND to get a chance to chit chat with a number of celebrities! Unfortunately, I was in the midst of doing my Meet and Greets at Crest but I had to share two of my favorite people that I wanted to see if my times had meshed a little better - Erica from Mary Mary (which I ended up seeing later at NOLA Emeril's restaurant later that night) and who is pictured next to founder, Lisa Price and of course Tank! One of my fave products right now is the Macadamia Hold and Control Smoother which my boyfriend uses all the time to style his hair. I love that not only is this a fab product in terms of unisex use but as many of you know Paul is Italian, Sicilian and Hungarian and loves this in his hair so it's definitely a multi -texture tool! He loves using this on the front of his hair for a thicker look as he uses another styling gel for his sides for a sleek look and then another for the back. You can't say that guys don't pay close attention to their hair!

After Fashion Week, my feet always feel like I should give them a rub down for the next week. With all the standing, walking in heels and more you're glad to slip out of them! This time of year makes me think about the fact that I wear heels a lot when it hits the spring and the summer; moreover, open toe shoes become my preferred heel! I have a pair of shoes that I call my chandelier shoes. They wrap around the ankle and have beautiful bronze pieces cascading down my foot and of course, it's an open toe. When I wear them, I always feel that I have to remember to back my feet up so that they don't hang over. It's not an attractive look when you feel like your toes are gripping outside of your foot! Sassy Soles has saved this problem for me (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out their cute video on the main page). Sassy Soles is not only a pad that goes towards the top of the foot but it is specifically designed with a ridge that follows your natural toe line so that when you stand, your toes grip that and stay in place, Now, when I wear my shoes, I am confident that I am in control, that my foot is comfortable and my shoes look amazing! This is a must to have within your footwear collection and it makes your shoes so comfortable to walk in! Take some time to check out Sassy Soles and see how much more you're prone to wear those open toe shoes now!
I don't have one of these right now but it is SO on my list. My iPod and I are never far away from one another - I'm sure you guys are the same. I love coming up with my playlists and enjoy listening to it at home. A gift for myself this holiday season will by the iHome which is available at Brookstone. I love that it has a remote control so that I can sit anywhere in the room and flip just as easily through my tunes as I would if I had my iPod in my hands. I love that it can sit within the tiny speakers and not take up too much room. In addition, I'll never be without the time and it has an alarm - perfect. Oh yes, as I am beginning to pack up and think of ways to make my apartment look snazzy, this is one of the items that is definitely on my list! Get this for yourself or as a great gift for someone else!
