Snazzy Sundays ~ Snack Time 2.0

The child in all of us embraces milk and cookies whether we're Rice Milk, Regular Milk. Soy or whatever gets you through you fave snickerdoodle, vegan chocolate chip etc cookie. There are times where the work day would just get better if we could go back to snack time like when we were in kindergarten, sit at the table and nosh on our favorite snack! But we're sophisticated adults so why not have an inspiration table that is made to have a chalkboard built in, a fun swivel chair and a very elevated version of a Large Milk Carton or the Small (I love Horchow for the large and small details) one? Snack time just became attainable and fun! Head over to Anthropologie to pick up over 80 recipes of various Milk & Cookies that are perfect when you've hit the point where a pop of sugar would definitely enhance all the ideas that you've been wrestling with.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Sundays CoEd Salon Tea Party at J. Sisters Limelight

Can you believe that today is the last day of November and that tomorrow kicks off the last month of the year? I don't know about you but I have had some unexpected surprises that have popped up and have begun writing my mega card list and began thinking about New Year's Eve! With that said, it was nice to take a four hour break from it all to have fun at Sundays CoEd Salon Tea Party at the Limelight Marketplace's, J. Sisters salon! Produced by Sally Golan, founder and executive producer of Social Exposure Media, the afternoon was meant to be one of mingling, enjoying treatments and of course being able to see a phenomenal presentation!

As we enjoyed treatments that were provided by J. Sisters Salon from massages, waxes (we even saw Andrew do a chest waxing and it looked pretty phenom I have to say) and blowouts - it was a great way to get some much needed recovery from a long weekend. In addition, we munched on cookies from The Butterfly Bakeshop as well as a number of teas and herbal drinks from Miss Tea as well! We were even given skin consultations from MySkin which takes scanned images of your skin to look at the areas that you could improve on or to know your target areas so that you can receive a print out of all the items that you should use use daily or weekly. What a great way to stay on track so that you know that your skin always looks amazing! Of course we were media sponsors for this event and The 95 Group was there as well.

Take some time to check out images from the event within this post as well as images taken by Rule 4080 and we'll update you on a number of others that have covered this event as well. It was such a good time to have a number of friends and media in attendance that were able to take a moment to enjoy themselves!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Startup Lucky & Tasty Morsels Bakery

You know that beyond talking fashion, I love keeping you updated on what's going on with my friends who are in the industry! Tasty Morsels Bakery has had a lot of success this past year and the year isn't even over! I feel so fortunate that in many ways, when founder and cookie baker extraordinaire, Crystal Horton and I had a chance to sit down and really learn about one another that I was able to learn about her business from the beginning. Since then, I've seen the cookies appear in the goodie bag for the Brooklyn Cancer Society's Pink and Black Tie Gala hosted by Stacy London, she was apart of Bust's Craftacular in Brooklyn and she was one of the personalities that appeared on the episode of the web based reality show, To Be a Star where she served as one of my friends in the industry who sat with some of the aspiring models in the show due to them winning this time with us.

Of course it was this same day that we bumped into @Aronado after we had finished shooting and somehow the three of us came up with the idea that he should interview her on his show StartUp Lucky which talks with those starting up their own businesses. Crystal is not only someone who has combined her love of fashion and baking but she's also done something that I'm super proud of. She has embraced Social Media and although she is learning the ropes and treading carefully, I love the fact that she is integrating this into her plans! You all know that I'm a huge advocate and I love that you'll see her out there sending tweets via @Tasty_Morsels Bakery. Watch this interview where @Aronado does what he does best - chatting it up and of course, I'm also throwing in my two cents as I play co-host! It was such a good time and if you have yet to enjoy her cookies, your holiday isn't complete without having them and since we have just signed off from summer - we're definitely in fall/holiday mode which is perfect for gifting! Of course you can always check out my friends and more by following me @Cocoabebe.

Fashionable Fridays: Pink & Black Tie Gala

It's GORGEOUS out in NY and I already have my cocktail plans for tonight and yet I'm not quite sure about lunch! But what I do know is that I am super excited that with May on the way, one of my biggest events this summer is the American Cancer Society's Pink & Black Tie Gala which will be held at Steinner Studios in Brooklyn. I love that it supports an amazing cause and many people in the fashion, music and entertainment communities are coming together to raise funds for the continual support and research of a plethora of diseases that have affected people. Now, I am excited that I will be donating a new lariat necklace from my line, Kitten Couture (pictures to follow in another post) and that my friend and Brooklyn resident, Crystal Horton, will be supplying cookies from Tasty Morsels Bakery for the goodie bag - which is definitely a treat!

In addition, there are additional auctions such as a swim clinic with Michael Phelps, a Vespa and a Private Customized Tour for Six at the Bronx Zoo. These are just some of the items that have been updated recently and people  continue to support whether they are including something to be auctioned or something that will be in one of the many goodie bags. Stacy London of What Not to Wear will be hosting and the entire event will feature local entertainment as well. I love that this Pink and Black theme will be amazing to see in person! I can't wait to see how people incorporate these colors into their color schemes and tickets are still available for this event at $250 - you'll enjoy an amazing dinner, meeting others who are committed to the cause and of course it's a night of dancing as well. I will cover the event and continue to share information with you in addition to Twittering live from the event as well!

Snazzy Sundays: S Factor & Tasty Morsels Bakery

Last night I enjoyed a fun evening at S Factor which was an open house/3 year birthday party. This is the infamous studio where you do pole dancing classes! I have to say that watching the demonstration made me want to join this class! This is a great way to stay fit, enjoy your body and of course to just enjoy having fun. I love the fact that it's an all women's group and really feel that it is an amazing opportunity if you have the chance to join. I have yet to join but think that I will try an introductory class without a doubt (thank you to those who showed me a few things - it was a lot of fun).

In addition to last night's event, there was a debut of Tasty Morsels Bakery which had the cutest cookies for this event. Since this was for S Factor, the cookies had corsets, frilly panties, lips and more. When I get these images, I will definitely let you guys know and update this post. Until then, if you are looking for tasty cookies with a great flavor and that can be customized, this is the bakery for you! It's perfect for events, corporate and anything else that you can imagine! The owner of this Brooklyn based bakery, Crystal Horton, is an artist which lends to the amazing creativity that she can do with her cookies! So, think about S Factor if you're in NYC and regardless of where you are, Tasty Morsels Bakery is the best place for you to find your sweet needs!

Fashionable Fridays: The S Factor

I am so excited that tomorrow I will be attending an open house for the S Factor! This is the infamous pole dancing classes which not allow you to feel great about yourself but that you also can look great as well. I have been thinking about taking this class for awhile in Chelsea; however, I was completely motivated when I realized that a friend of mine was participating with her cookies! For those of you that will be at tomorrow's S Factor, you will also enjoy Tasty Morsels Bakery which has cookies that look like little pieces of art! I am so excited for her and hope that others will love them as well!  Hopefully I will see you tomorrow at the S Factor at 235 West 23rd St NY, NY!

Mingling Mondays ~ Madeleine's Are My Fave

Today is a busy day! I woke up this morning thinking that my boyfriend and Food Editor of Kitten Lounge, Paul, will be attending a foodie event which will find its way on next Monday's post! Of course I will attend this afternoon after going to a few meetings myself which will include info for Island Fashion Week, my clothing line and the lines of others. Of course, all of this will end with us hanging out at a bar to watch Paul's beloved Jets (and I will enjoy watching Brett as well). So this morning is definitely key as we tie up a lot of loose ends and start projecting the rest of this year (how crazy is it that we are close to the beginning of a new year??). We will be confirming a future weekend trip which will make its way on this site and so much more.

So when it comes to a busy day where I will be running around, I definitely like to have something enjoying - I will start with my flavored Green Tea and maybe have a nibble of Madeleines! I love this soft cookie and I will make these this holiday season. Of course, I had to go online to check out some great recipes and Milk and Cookies Blog has a nice orange infused taste, Yumsugar had the classic and Taste of Home has a nice hazelnut one as well. What a great way to create some great variations off of the classic recipe! I knew these were amazing when I gave some to Paul one afternoon and he declared it his favorite (I couldn't believe he had never had one). Anywho - I can't wait to share a lot of the goodies that are going on on the site and as soon as I can I will let you know. Until then, treat yourself to a Madeleine!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ Give Gifts From the Heart

Marthajar The holiday season can be very scary when you think about everything that you have to do and to give out. Sometimes you wonder who the recipient of this gift should be for and how do you get extras in case someone drops by. I'm sure for those that are cooks and bakers, the idea of making something comes natural; however, many of us that look at our kitchens like a myth that emerged into reality. Because of this, we need to definitely place this on our list as a trend to adopt. We have quite a few weeks left so take some time to get cute jars, ribbon, etc to come up with a recipe for cookies that can be layered into the jars. How about coming up with trailmix, a special tea blend or hot cocoa mix? People will love to see that you took the effort to make something tasty while also leaving the container as well. Visit Martha Stewart for recipes and ideas as well.
