Mingling Mondays ~ Beautify in Comfort

I'm always doing something in terms of getting a spa treatment or some level of beauty maintenance. I work out, spa from home or whatever my schedule allows for but there are those days from time to time where the whole day is built around "Beautifying" which means everything happens to take place on the same day. As many of you know, this is the first time since last June that I will have had about 6 - 8 weeks where there is no travel scheduled for me and I can actually enjoy being in the city (of course I will still be in meetings but at least I'm not jumping on a flight every few days - unless my schedule gets tweaked). It allows me to take some personal time, focus on prep that needs to happen for upcoming New York Fashion Week and just enjoy not being in transit. Getting back from a successful stint in DR last week, I began booking my threading, Turkish Hammam treatment (Trump Soho), hair appointment and mani/pedi (Polished Beauty Bar) and decided that Monday was the day. I'll kick it off with some yoga and cardio, do some light shopping, nibble a bit and just enjoy the day from the inside out!

With that said, I need an easy look so today it's all about the maxi (no shocker there and Anthropologie is always a good place to start when you're thinking of dresses), super easy shoes that allow me to move but are slightly elevated from rocking my Havaianas (which I am prone to do when I truly want to be comfy) and some fantastic accessories. I love mixing sweet and edgy so I am in LOVE with Pamela Love's ring which definitely makes the eye take notice and I love the bib necklace with it's vibrant Carnelianesque tones in Agate (another Anthropologie winner)! Perfect day to be out and about and to continue to de-stress!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Sunset Goddess

Today's look is inspired by my trip to DR last month when we were at this phenomenal restaurant that is indoors but also has a large deck. To feel like you were in SoBe when in reality you were in the Caribbean with Presidente's at the ready (although I'm a super fan of Brugal over ice now too) and the MOST phenomenal Lobster Lasagna that you will ever have in your life was like a dream. That trip allowed me to design my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection while also being able to eat here during the weekend during a late afternoon and then eating during the week late at night in the cabana. The water was gorgeous and it was truly a snippet of paradise.

This look incorporates a drool worthy caftan available at Anthropologie that I'm obsessed over by Hemant and Nandita (this design duo is BEyond and I would wear their pieces to a number of red carpets and photoshoots that I have coming up), Swarovski jewelry a fab beaded ring and a sexy preppy version of a shoe that I would so rock and is the new summer essential by Luciano Padovan! Together, this look is meant for lounging and enjoying a fine meal and many drinks in an uber relaxed setting.

Fashionable Fridays : Spring Break 2011 ~ Beach Bunny Kardashian Collection

As I am spending my last days in DR, I'm soaking in 80 degree weather, spa services and working on my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection all in one place. Yes, I was up at the early portion of the morning (3am) to watch the Royal Wedding line up on E! but it's our last day of our two week run of Spring Break 2011! Throughout the past two weeks, I have shared phenomenal bikinis that are perfect for this season, summer and your holidays wherever they happen to take you. To end as well as we began, I present Beach Bunny Bikini Swimwear that involves the Kardashian's Collection! Who doesn't love the look of Python so of course I had to add one of my favorite cuffs from Ted Rossi as well as the woven wristlet from Bottega Veneta and ending it with this fabulous Moonstone Cocktail Ring by Sethi Couture! Love that everyone has enjoyed peeking in on some phenomenal suits!

Trendy Thursdays: Spring Break 2011: His Style ~ Hamps Bound

I may be heading to DR next week but it's for work I swear! I'll be designing my Spring 12 collection for Sebago! But don't think that I'm not thinking of the first vacation that Paul and I will be taking some point soon I hope! Yes we headed out to Austin as our first travel experience as well as to Philly - but once again work! So with that said I'm thinking of warm locales or his beauty bounty when it comes to taking a long weekend in the Hamptons! With that said, he loves beauty as much as I do and so why not have him decked out in some beauty product that would be perfect for him! Now I know that he's all about smelling phenom and I love Ginseng so Molton Brown is the perfect way to spice up some good things! Of course, a clean shaven man is such an important thing so using Schick Hydro is a great way to keep that close shave and combining it with a fab Aloe Vera Shaving Cream tube is perfect!

Everything can be tossed in this fab Vivienne Westwood man tote and of course he can lug a number of things around. Now with it being Spring Break, we had to do a phenomenal giveaway and we can thank the fab people at Schick you can experience the amazing Hydro 5 Blast and Hydro 3 Blast Razors and be travel ready! They are providing us with 3 sets of the below! Whether you're about to jet off or simply care about making sure he stays fabulously smooth, simply tell us where you're honey or guy you care about will be jetting off too! Winners will be selected next Thursday!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ On to The Next Look

This week I have been rocking a bit of an edgy look (complete with my fave motorcycle jacket from Coach's Poppy collection). Maybe it's because there is so much going on between events, my personal brand, etc but it's nice to showcase something a little different and yet, all the pieces are classics on their own (top and leggings)! SO the first thing is we have officially placed Snazzy Saturdays to bed. If you're a fan of my social networks, you know that if I love something or am super excited about something, I say that I'm having a Swoonfest (ie uber orgasmic love towards items and situations that just can't be kept to myself and must be shared). So Swoonfest Saturdays do just that.

Breast Cancer Awareness products have been on this site throughout the month and we do believe it's an initiative that should be ongoing. I'm loving Angel Eyewear's Pink Hope Sunglasses which come in white as well as in black. If you travel with me you know I sleep on the plane with my sunglasses on so it's super important to have a cute pair. I love love love this shirt by Kill City - my obsession with tank tops never ends and yet again whether I'm running around or catching a flight, this travels well and is seasonless - especially when you have these fab leggings. Finally, you want to thrown in a super cute pair of heels (tonight I'm partying with my sister since I won't see her on her bday for Halloween and we're heading to a bar in Queens) that elongates the leg and makes you look fab!

You can rock the same sexy nature of this look with the sunglasses, top and a cute pair of bootie shorts with flip flops (RIP my fave pair of Havaianas which didn't make it back from the DR due to ripping) or a super cute pair of sneakers if you're running around as I will be today. Now many of you know that I live in flip flops and heels but once again while I was in the DR designing my collab line with Sebago I had a new Swoonfest that I wasn't so aware of - sneakers! I had the opportunity to meet Ronnie Fieg, who has done a number of collaborations with various brands (which is a swoonfest on its own to see him in action in the midst of his creativity as well as to hang out - super cute) and he had a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III that looked amaze and would be perfect for when you're running around the city and need this outfit to be cute in the short version whether you're meeting up with the girls to run or walking your puppy by the hottie you always see at the dog park.

Tons of good news to come with me filming a segment during the holiday season that focuses on a new look for the new year, hosting 6 Holiday tweet ups throughout the season and info on when you can see me on air for HSN along with upcoming press tours that are being set up now!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Polished Beauty Bar

The day before I left for the DR to design my Fall 11 Kitten Lounge x Sebago line, I made sure that I beautified before I left. Apart of the process was heading to Polished Beauty Bar on the Upper West Side. Now I had heard great things about this via friends and have to say that more than a week later I only have the tiniest of chips on my nails - it is work the trek for sure to go to this super zen place. No detail is left wasted. I loved meeting the owner, Susan Nam who definitely makes you feel like you're at home. We gabbed about our mutual love for cardigans, maxis and layers. I selected Indigo a gorgeous blue black polish with sparkle. I have to say that I am now a dark color girl for not only my pedis BUT ALSO my manis! After selecting my color, I enjoyed sitting in these massage chairs pictured above that also massage your butt - super amazing! For this alone, the chairs make everything feel like it's ok! Located at 250 W 78th between Broadway and West End, you'll find a number of services with my fave ones being manis ($12) and pedis ($30). Another fab service is the fact that they have these little sanitizers for your shoes. As you get your pedi, your shoes are cleaned and disinfected - supposedly they smell like ocean breezes when you get them!

Beyond being a chic spot and the new place to enjoy some time to hang out with your girls as you gab over the weeklies. I love that this place is green! The fact that they use Zoya and have quite a bit of their 300 collection, you know that your polish doesn't have all the chemicals in it. In addition, their nail polish remover is soy based which is perfect. Find out more about the salon, new colors that are coming up and specials by signing up for their tweets at @PolishedBB! I can tell you that this is officially my fave salon and that I am not interested in going in any other salon after my amazing polish!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Travel Basics

Generally when you see me out and about I have my MAC foundation, bronzer from Laura Gellar and then eyeliner from Urban Decay's 24/7 collection - always in the Zero hue. But when I travel, I like to mix it up a bit and add a little more into my look. Whether I'm traveling for fun or am on business (yes designing is still super serious), it's nice to add pops into my routine just to switch things up. I even have a special case that I carry new items in just so that I know. I'm a huge fan of Dior Show's Mascara. I see that more and more I like wearing Mascara even in my normal routine from time to time. I love Sue Devitt! She has a Kiliamanjaro collection that is in hues of purple so her Green Isle collection is perfect as we transition into the fall (although I am currently in the DR soaking up some sun) and then there's a new fave when I'm out and about - Bare Escentuals Buxom in Dina. Not only do I get a pop of color but I get a great plumper as well which is just enough to notice that there is something different without making my lips look too huge. I feel that when you're away trying new looks allows you to have a little fun and when you're back to your normal routine, you can look at your pictures and decide what portions will go into your everyday!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Blackberry Beauty

Beyond the Blackberry (yes many of you are reading my site via this fab phone) that keeps us connected and the fruit that we eat, there are other ways that blackberries are useful to us! Today, we dedicate one of our posts to the fragrant and visual components. As you're reading this, I'm about an hour into my flight as I head to the DR to begin designing my very first collaboration line with footwear! I'm beyond thrilled so as I always do before I head out on a trip, I ran to get a mani/pedi at the Polished Beauty Bar (details on that to follow soon)! Now usually, I have a fab color on my toes and I do something neutral on the nail. Yesterday I decided to rock dark nails as it's nice to change it up and I loved how it looked this summer when I did it! I love the berry colors which made me think of glosses, perfumes and lotion! How fun and so perfect for the season!

Snazzy Sundays ~ On To The Next

If we're connected on my social networks, you know that I am jetting off to Cancun on Tues to cover the Royal Holiday Resort with a few bloggers and am so happy that Aly Walansky will be with me on this trip. If we can conquer the bungalows at The Delano during our press trip for Schick in SoBe, we plan to do the same in Mexico. They sent us our agenda for next week and all I could think about was getting my clothes together! But of course, right around the corner, I have a trip to go to Dominican Republic for one of the projects that you guys will begin to hear about in the next few weeks. It involves me designing accessories for a brand and later appearing on TV! More to come.

Anywho - here it is that I should be planning for Cancun as it's on Tues but I have already raced ahead to think about fun dinner outfits. Yes we'll be at an island but I love dressing for dinner when I'm away and I happened on 6126! We all have our opinions on LiLo but I will say that much like Lauren Conrad's first line, this is one that I love. I love this dress as it reminds me of fab 70's/boho chic style which is on trend this season (but who are we kidding the 70's is generally on trend). I love that the dress has hues of salmon/coral, blue/purple and cream hues. In fact if Cher had just come out singing Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves - I would want her to wear this dress! Love the concept of this photo but of course I wanted to tweak the accessories.

I would take out the chunky shoes that had been included in this shoot and go for this pair of shoes by Mr Louboutin! It has that disco vibe but I think it looks much better and I don't mind that I'm continuing the matchy matchy vibe of the outfit. What I love about this look is that I have introduced natural tones! I'm a huge fan of the colors that you find in wooden pieces and in amber so when I saw the faceted glass ring by Burberry and the snakeskin clutch which had various tones in it, it was a no brainer that it would make this outfit look phenom! Finally, you need a great necklace but I wanted to tie in the hues of the overall look and yet reflect a natural component - enter the shell necklace. I'd also check out more items by Mali Sabatasso as I think that the collection has a number of striking pieces in various hues (new designer to me but I am obsessing over these pieces)! This is definitely perfect for a night out with the girls, a special someone or maybe a business dinner where you're on display and you know that you have to bring it!
