Shoe Sundays ~ Green Your Decor

Happy St Patrick's Day! Yesterday as the snow fell off and on throughout the day, I saw people making their way to 5th Ave to check out the parade that was taking place. Everyone rocked green and as the day turned to night, even the Empire State Building donned this hue yesterday as well as later on tonight. Green is such a revitalizing color and when you roll over today's images, you'll find items that are perfect in your bedroom and living room whether it's your home or you're thinking of items to take to your vacation home.

SHOE INSPIRATION

The shoe inspiration from this curated post comes from the work that I have been doing on one of my other brands' Shoe Week which launched last Sept during NYFW with a number of shows. Although we're working very hard on NYFW for this Sept, we have a number of projects throughout this year where we work with our clients. EXPATRIATE is a fabulous line designed by Kita Nolley which brings in her love for traveling to a number of destinations. Based in Atlanta, she transports you to other portions of the world. This Thurs, she will hit the runways during Charleston Fashion Week to show her line and Shoe Week partnered with her to find the perfect heels to complete her looks! United Nude is all about architectural design as the designer works in tandem with an architect to create these shoes that have been included in a number of runway shows from London, Milan, Paris, NY and much more.

ROLL OVER THE IMAGES TO GET THE DECOR

I'll keep you in the loop as I make my way to Charleston to show you the line and the fab heels from United Nude. In the meantime, you can enjoy what should be in your home and how a little green can make your space refreshing.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Your NYFW Office

The countdown continues towards New York Fashion Week continues! In the last few weeks, we're all working to make sure that our schedules make sense for shows. Here at the Kitten Lounge Loft, we're adding to our team to cover the shows as I will be focusing on Shoe Week! As the Co-Founder and Creative Director, I'm up to my eyeballs in planning a number of details from runway shows to private events. Whether I'm in our offices or hanging out at home, the theme is always fashion!

It's easy to tweak your office to ensure that it is ready for New York Fashion Week whether you're covering Shoe Week, Milk Made or Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. I love having a fab armoir from Viva Terra, whether you turn it into a place that houses your favorite beverage a la Mad Men or you place your shoes in there - or both! Add some art by taking your favorite images and placing it within this frame from Macy's. Prop your feet up on this ottoman from Ethan Allen. I also love that this piece of furniture makes for a great table! I would also use this to store my Duracell Powermat which ensures that while you're at shows in the tents, you don't have to worry about your phone powering down in between tweets! Charge it up in a specially made case from Duracell and leave it on the mat. In addition, power the back up charge so that if your phone does lose a battery, you can charge it on the smaller one when you're out and about - it's definitely helped me in a pinch! You can win a Duracell Powermat of your very own by entering our fab giveaway - continue reading and enter!

Relax or power up some work on this chaise from Urban Outfitters in this fab grey shade and pop on a pair of peacock themed pillows from Gump's and Dwell Studio. Finally, have your nightstand in your office to handle odds and ends with this piece from Anthropologie and if you have some space, you can use it as a way to display your shoe of the moment such as this Camilla Skovgaard.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Feather Decor

Yesterday's post shared a fab giveaway that is available on Kitten Lounge thanks to the month long partnership with Affinitas Initma. For rules on winning a Lingerie Bundle of Goodies you'll want to click here (just 1 lucky winner). With the site focusing on bridal for the next month, we'll be including fab ways to enhance your big day or to let your bride to be friend know! Today, I'm inspired by one of the favorite accessories that a bride can use to replace using a veil - the headband! I'm loving Cara Accessories Headband which has fab feather detailing and let me start thinking of all the ways your decor can embrace feather glam from day to day as well as the upcoming holiday season!

When you're lounging in your bed or on the couch, having fun pillows to add a pop of color is a fab idea! This peacock pillow from Dwell Studio is a great way to add in a new hue and a texture without being concerned about having feathers literally being left behind! Roll over every morning with West Elm's duvet which blends in a number of fab neutral hues to create a cool sense to your boudoir decor. Move on to serving guests or significant others with utensils that have feathers on the handle thanks to Horchow.Vagabond House takes sea salt to another level with these fab dishes that are peacocks and have feather that can be used to take your allotted amount of salt to your plate.

As guests come to visit, your doorway begins a feather feel by having this fab white wreath from West Elm. Your cabinets and tables, just in time for Thanksgiving, can have super cute turkeys welcoming everyone to your feast via Pottery Barn. As you begin thinking ornaments for your tree, I'm loving these glass feather ornaments from Gump's!
