Treasure Tuesdays ~ My Signature Color is Cocktail Ready

I became a pink girl a few years ago and slowly but surely, it finds its way into a number of my outfit selections! When I have an event or do certain appearances, this color of my brand is one that you'll see me wearing more and more to a number of events! It's also fun after a long day of being out and about - to be able to go straight to a night out with friends and family! With that said, my signature color is always ready even when I just completed something for business.

MY SIGNATURE COLOR

I've been a huge fan of Versace for a number of years. Although they are known for their iconic prints, there are a number of other swoonworthy pieces that are of note including this laced dress in a vibrant hue! I love a classic sheath dress as it's a style that's always on trend and compliments so many shapes. For me, this style compliments and showcases my curves well.

ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK

This look needs a few pops of pink, yellow and gold as a great way to enhance this color without adding a number of dynamic hues. Roll over the images above to find out how Judith Leiber, Deborah Pagani, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Robert Clergerie, Larkspur & Hawk.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Out & About Chic Style

It's that time of your Spring cocktail functions, wedding related activities, awards dinners, luncheons and more. It's a great time period to put your best looks together in order to impress and look amazing in pictures. With it being Spring, try thinking of other items outside of the Little Black Dress box and since we're still in the midst of the battle between winter weather and Spring (in name only as the weather has been a bit chilly), make sure that even your outerwear is a stunner as well!

ACCESSORIES INSPIRATION

Today's look was inspired by a piece whose designer I have recently communicated with! During Awards Season this year, I became aware of Kimberly McDonald Jewelry whose design incorporates natural stones with diamonds. I love natural decadence and from the pieces I've seen I've become hooked and can't wait to meet her in person. I was flipping through some sites and fell in love with her Gold, Geode and Diamond necklace (growing up in Indiana originally, I remember being on my college campus at Indiana University and finding geodes). This inspired the blush infused outfit that I believe is perfect for these occasions.

GET THE LOOK

This look merges caramel and blush together! Roll over the images to see how you can get these pieces as many are great classics that can be worn with other items or are staples to have in your closet. Blush is one of those new neutrals that look so well on a number of skin tones!

Mingling Mondays ~ Spring Break Exists

Growing up, Spring Break took on additional importance as it went from a family vacation to those that I spent with college friends. Once you get into the "real world", it's almost like some of the things that we enjoyed growing up are supposed to remain in the past! For me, I'm always traveling and thankfully, my travels during the Spring are in the islands whether I'm producing lines, doing an appearance for a brand or meeting with potential clients for initiatives that will take place later in the year. It's a way for me to bring in Spring Break as all I need are cute bikinis and a well placed maxi!

This week, I am heading off to Charleston as I have styled a runway show that is participating on in Charleston Fashion Week! Having Shoe Week take on this component is definitely exciting and with the up and down weather that has taken place (with a possible snowstorm coming), I'm glad to make my way to the historic downtown of this city! Roll over the images to see how you can enjoy Spring Break in your own way whether you're traveling or just having a moment in the city. Yellow is definitely having a moment in my closet and I love (as many know I am not someone who typically wears gold) how the gold and neutral hues play together in such a playful way. I'll be sharing information from the tents while I'm there for a quick trip and if you have time, plan your Spring Break getaway so that you can have a moment in the sun as well.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Support Your Accessories

As an Accessories Expert, I'm always checking out new pieces that I want to wear or that I want my clients to wear when I style them! My rule for accessories is the same that I have for apparel. When you find yourself fidgeting in your garments or accessories, that's when you know that you need to make sure that things stay put! I have a growing kit that I use whether I'm going out with friends, going on air, prepping for Shoe Week events or styling clients for their music videos or their red carpet moments. Although a lot of my tricks of the trade are things that I have created myself, I love the items in this list as they are a must whether it keeps you looking fabulous or extends the life of what you're wearing.

Sometimes you do actually see me wearing earrings - although it can be a rare site! My ears are sensitive and I don't like the feel of an earring with weight although I think it's gorgeous to wear a pair of cascading chandelier earrings! To offset the weight and to feel a bit more secure, I highly suggest BlingGuard's BlogDots which have 45 pairs that are disposable and come within a tin. You can also use these on your clip ons, pins, brooches and badges.

I love Hollywood Fashion Secrets' Fashion Tape Refillable Gun as we all know it's great when we have garments that need to stay put whether you're ensuring that a wardrobe malfunction doesn't take place but it also has other uses that are not always about items playing peekaboo on you! When I wear scarves or sashes, I actually use the tape to keep the knots tied so that I don't have to tweak it during the day or night. I also like to use this to secure bra straps, to take the extenders on necklaces and to tape it under my dress so they don't peek out when I wear it.

I'm a rounded toe girl but there are times when I wear a pointy toe and my clients definitely love it. Over time, you'll find that your shoe has indentations as your natural gait will create breaks in the pointed toe area. Tip Top Shoe Saver ensures that you can put these little V-shaped items within the toe of the shoe to keep creases away when you're not in them. Each box comes with a pair and is a must when this is the shoe of choice.

You know that my signature is a fabulous ring and of course, I get them sized when they're my own; however, when I am borrowing jewelry from a brand or styling my clients I have to use BlingGuard BlingWraps! These invisible latex free bands ensure that you're rings won't turn around on your finger or slip - which is embarrassing as no one should fidget and have their accessories work against them. There are 30 bands that come in each box which is always good to have on hand.

For those that are driving around, you always wonder about whether you'll ruin your heels! Tip Top Shoe Glove For Heels (check out their version for men's shoes as well as flats for women) slips up the back of your heel so it's completely protected and wraps around your ankle so that your shoe looks fabulous without worrying about any unnecessary brushing.

Finally, we've all had a shoe that for some reason rubs against our heel or is a little loose in the back. I definitely suggest Avon's Back of Heel Liners has a set of two. This is definitely something that's great to have on hand to ensure that no shoe is deemed unwearable!

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Amy Adams

Hitting the red carpet is a dream and even more so when you're at the Oscars! Amy Adams, continued the theme of a dream with this fabulous neutral Oscar de la Renta dress which is full of whimsy. Although I love this dress and the grey tones, I'm still not convinces that this was the right dress for Amy in terms of the hue (I would have loved seeing her wear it in a toned down gold or any color that would have a pop in it as it's hard to pull off a neutral depending on your tone/undertones). She completes her look with fabulous diamond earrings and a bracelet from Mouawad which makes the entire look even more regal!

To get Amy's beauty look, she has Chanel and Celebrity Makeup Artist Stephen Sollitto to thank for this! You can create the same effect when you want to have this same look. Below, Stephen let's you know how he created it and of course, what he used.

INSPIRATION:

My inspiration is always a combination of the girl, the dress, the occasion and our feeling the day of the event. Since the gown is a pale slate, I wanted Amy's face to have subtle color. I thought a palette of plums, taupes and pinks would be
perfect for her. This is no specific look, just a stunning overall appearance with focus on her eyes.

SKINCARE:

Her skin was given a good dose of hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Sublimage Essential Regenerating Fluid and CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Yeux. I find that by moisturizing well, the foundation melts into the skin rather than drying on top of it. If her skin doesn't look healthy, you distract from the whole look. CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum protects and helps the skin achieve optimal moisture levels, while CHANEL Sublimage, the most luxurious cream you will ever use, delivers the moisture. This step is just as important as I want Amy's skin to be at its best.

FOUNDATION:

I used a combination of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-‐Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum
SPF15
in 20 Beige on the high planes of the face and added a little CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Long-‐Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 through the center of the face to give a velvety complexion. I apply this with a damp
sponge so the application can be gentle and sheer leaving Amy's well moisturized skin to breath.

BLUSH:

On the apples of her cheeks, I lightly dusted CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Petale, which is a perfect pink so she
looks flush with color, but not overpowered by it. I then added Poudre Signée De Chanel Illuminating Powder on the high cheekbones, a tiny amount on the bridge of the nose and the heart of her lips to add dimension and illumination. This effect is really beautiful and I love that it enhances how skin looks in photographs.

EYES:

Amy's eyes were the focus today. We thought an ethereal smokey eye using plums and taupes would be softer and
perfect match for the dress. I swept her whole lid with the pale pink shade from CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in
Mystic Eyes
. This just gives me a blank canvas and a clean eye to work with but adds just a hint of sheen. Next, I lined her inner
upper and lower lids with CHANEL Precision Eye Definer in Brun. I did this first so it would blink away as we continued. Next, I lined
her upper lash line with the same pencil, smudging it out with a small brush. Over that pencil I swept this beautiful reflective shadow CHANEL Illusion D'Ombre in llusoire. This smudged the eye even more, softening yet deepening the color. I swept this
out to the corners making sure to blend. Lastly, in the very outer corners -‐ right in the lash line -‐ I tapped the deep plum color from CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Raffinement with a flat brush into her lashes darkening the root and the corners of her
eyes. Under her lower lash line, from corner to corner, I brushed the taupe color from this quad. Then with a straight flat brush, I
ground the muted lavender from this palette into the lower lashes. You're building the eye out here and each color is important.
The end result is subtle drama.

MASCARA:

I curled the lashes and added two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. I always use waterproof
mascara on so it stays all night. I added a few individual lashes in medium and small to thicken the lashes and add some drama without having to go too dark with the shadow.

LIPS:

I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Pygmalion (Available May 2013) on her lips for an
easy, effortless hint of pink. For a bit of reflection, I did a light coat of CHANEL Glossimer in Eden (Available May ) over it. This adds a bit of glamour with out stealing focus.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ It's Oscar Week

It's Oscar Week! Throughout this week celebs will hit a number of luncheons, gifting lounges and more. The Academy Awards will air at 8pm this Sunday with red carpet coverage starting at 1:30pm! We'll be tweeting talking about who's wearing what and a number of other tidbits. Leading up to it, come here to find out how to get red carpet worthy whether you're attending viewing parties or want to know how to glam it up for a major red carpet event or times when you know that all eyes will be on you in casual settings. This falls into my belief of "nuvo glam" I love how you can mix fabulous items with casual pieces (which Oscar Week is full of a number of activities that are relaxed) or key pieces that work well with glam.

Over the last few days, it's been all about NYFW (continue on with Fashion Week by checking out what's going on in London) and I love that although there are a number of items that aren't available until Fall 2013 - many of the beauty looks can definitely be rocked now! As you know, I covered Houghton Backstage and fell in love with the hair (Relaxed Elegance) that was created for the show by. Once again, I had to share the looks that were created via their Lead Stylist Joseph DiMaggio and the rest of his L'Oreal Professionnel team with its new product, True Grip.

CREATE THE DO

To create this look, DiMaggio poured a liberal amount of the NEW L’Oréal Professionnel True Grip Texturizing Powder ($15; .25 oz.) into a bottle of L’Oréal Professionnel Volume Expand Leave-In Spray ($24.00; 4.3 fl. oz.) for grip, hold and foundation to the style. The mixture was sprayed generously from roots to ends. After drying hair with blow dryer, hair was then split into three sections, two over the ears and one over the nape. The back section was then braided, then twisted and pinned into a low bun.

DiMaggio then pulled one of the remaining side sections towards the neck while loosely covering the ears, wrapping hair under and around the bun. The same step was repeated for the remaining side section. L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3 hairspray ($24.00; 11 oz.) was then spritzed all over for hold, and finished-off with L’Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer ($21.00; 5.8 oz.) for shine. “I love the look Joseph created,” said Polk who who has collaborated with the brand’s session styling team for three ready-to-wear seasons. “Joseph and I created a pulled-back look for the show that was clean and simple but had slight notes of the [collection’s] inspiration.”

ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK

As many of you know, I don't wear earrings; however, there are times when they are a must and with this look for your hair, you have to adorn your neck with more than necklace. I have rounded up some fabulous earrings that are perfect from running to lunches and of course the red carpet of the Oscars! Olivia Collings ($10,450; Barneys New York) has fabulous paste earrings that are antiqued and have a great chandelier effect. If you're looking for something a little edgy, including Ileana Makri ($2,409; Matches) white gold and diamond snake earrings. For a pop of regal color, add Irene Neuwirth ($9,260; Barneys New York) with these Boulder Opal Long Earrings. One of my favorites in this spread for a fun gifting lounge, these Small Abalone Shell Earrings in 10kt Gold by Annette Ferdinandsen ($1,230; Ylang 23) are amazing to wear with fun dresses and jeans. For sheer elegance, these diamond earrings from Me & Ro ($900; Barneys New York) are a great way to add a touch of chic to your look. Finally, fabulous bling can be found with Fabrizio Riva ($1,395; Barneys New York) in brown diamonds which are so decadent with these long earrings.

Swoonfest Saturdays: Win It ~ Shabby Apple

As you know, it's NYFW and it's definitely difficult to balance a super cute outfit when there is a blizzard outside. There are times when you definitely want to wear a cute outfit that's super cute and girly if it's for a special presentation, a dinner etc! I have a few key events next weeks that regardless of the weather, I will be rocking a cute outfit (and running in and out via a car service)! I have been obsessed with Tulle Skirts lately and was so pleased when I received a fabulous skirt to wear during NYFW and an opportunity to share a giveaway as well as a discount code with you! I will rock my skirt on the last day of NYFW which happens to be Valentine's Day as well but for those wondering how one can wear this look now or during the spring, of course I had to accessorize it.

With this tulle skirt, there's a lot of volume so I like items that are a little more fitting and create a silhouette by playing with proportions. This palette is about neutrals so I paired this Tees by Tina blush cami with this cream tulle skirt with bow. I actually wear tank tops year around and Iove this Liska fox fur bolero. Make sure you're warm when you're outside with this Miu Miu double breasted wool gaberdine coat which continues to keep the color flow. keep your hands warm and fashionable with these 3.1 Phillip Lim fingerless gloves (so you can continue to text as you shuttle across town).

Accessories are an essential with any outfit and I love that they can be worn with a number of looks. Typically, I never wear earrings but on special occasions it's nice to wear something different and I highly suggest these Federica Rettore sapphire, pink tourmine and diamond earrings which are a nod to geometria. One of my favorite accessories is a signature ring and this one by Irene Neuwirth is an opal in rose gold with an emerald cut. Wrap bracelets are always a fun way of making sure that you have a bit of a boho chic vibe in your outfit and this natural hued one by Chan Luu is perfect. I do love going over the top with a number of my necklaces is this piece by Erickson Beamon is perfection. This piece is also amazing to wear when you have a simple tank and jeans - it's definitely a conversation piece. These heels by Charlotte Olympia are so cute and are just the thing to wear for Valentine's Day or anytime that you feel like rocking hearts. Finally, the bag completes the look and this one by Marc Jacobs is a great way to make an appearance.

Today, I'm kicking off a fabulous giveaway which involves Shabby Apple as I love their Tinsel Town Tulle Skirt and there are a number of items that may tickle your fancy. Mingling Mondays: Snag the Look ~ Inauguration Day 2013

We're not finished with inauguration day activities but we had to share our highlights over the weekend as well as what took place today as President Obama was being sworn in. We love the looks that everyone has been rocking. Michelle Obama (how much do you love that she has her own Twitter account to share her thoughts with us - @FLOTUS) and her girls looked amazing during the Kids Inaugural Concert this weekend with performances by Usher and Katy Perry.

Yesterday, Obama was sworn in to office for another term in the White House and had his fabulous family by his side. Michelle wore a Reed Krakoff dress and matching cardigan in blue, the color of the party. Malia wore a cute dress which was on trend with an age appropriate color blocked dress (which was created by simply layering a long sleeve top under a sleeveless dress that she wore while her father campaigned). Sasha wore purple Plenty by Tracy Reese dress named, Mariposa (you can still snag this piece and we love how Sasha updated this look as she had worn this ensemble before) and added oomph to the look by pairing it with a gold sash to create a belted look and a flare in her outfit. Both opted for - tights.

This morning, a number of stars were present at the inauguration including John Legend, Jay-Z and Beyonce (who sang the national anthem immediately after President Obama was sworn in). Jay-Z looked dapper wearing a Dior suit. Beyonce was a vision with a Pucci dress, Dior coat and stunning jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz which looked phenom and were making statements of their own as she walked in and sang (without her ear piece). Michelle and her daughters looked fabulous as usual. Michelle had a coat by Thom Browne in navy with a dress whose fabric was inspired by a man's silk tie (love when menswear goes femme). I love that during the swear in, her legs were exposed and the coat was not accessorized and she completed the look with kitten heels from J.Crew. This look was accessorized (when she was getting ready to walk) by Reed Krakoff boots, a jeweled belt and gloves from J.Crew and Cathy Waterman earrings as she headed to the parade after the swear in. This entire look is slated to go to the National Archives!

Her mini style mavens rocked cute looks as usual. Malia (the oldest) wore a Double Cloth Lady Coat in plum (love that you can still snag it) by J.Crew. Her sister, Sasha, wore a Kate Spade coat and dress.

We can't wait to see what the family will don for tonight's events and we'll keep you in the loop!

UPDATE: 01.22.13 Racked reported, that during the Today Show, Jenna Lyons, Creative Director of J.Crew will be retiring the color of the Lady Coat that Malia wore. Although this style has been a staple within the brand's line, out of respect for her to have her moment, the color will no longer be available. The belt that Michelle added to hear Thom Browne coat, was actually a bedazzled bridal sash from the line and this too will also be retired! If you were able to snap up these finds (or still can) fab - if not, the hunt continues!

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Golden Globes Nicole Richie

NBC's Fashion Star, Nicole Richie stunned on the red carpet at the 70th Annual Golden Globes Awards last night. With a chilly night (by LA standards as here in NYC, I would have loved having 50 degree weather), Nicole opted for a fabulous long sleeve Naeem Khan that was embellished with an all over brocade pattern in pastel blue which has a beaded jewel neckline for the gown. To gain just a bit of height, this petite star paired her look with platform sandals. In addition, she rocked her fringed House of Harlow 1960 box clutch and stud earrings from H.Stern!

Nicole looked amazing because of her retro, Old Hollywood Style and Suave Professionals Stylist, Jenny Cho, created this look which reminds us of the waves that Veronica Lake was known for and you can do this as well:

Wash hair with New Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, and then blow dry hair using a large paddle brush.

Part hair on the side and begin curling with a one-inch barrel curling iron. Be sure to hold the curling barrel horizontal to the head.

After curling each section, use bobby pins to hold in place.

Blast hair all over with a hot dryer for 1-2 minutes to help set the curls.

Remove the bobby pins, lightly brush the hair to soften curls and finish with Suave Professionals® Touchable Finish Super Hold Hairspray.

Place 1-2 drops of the New Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil in palms and rub hands together. Avoiding the roots, gently run hands over the surface of the hair to add a radiant shine.

Place the Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil in your clutch for touchups on the go.

Nicole's style is amazing whether she's on a red carpet or just hanging out. She lives by a few rules that are perfect whether you have a stylist or you're prepping and primping before heading out your door. She suggests that you too can shine when you:

Identify your top feature and play it up – know your body and what silhouettes work for you.

With both makeup and accessories – focus on one bold item. For example, when doing a deep lip, leave eyes bare, or if wearing a statement necklace, keep the earrings simple.

Whether she’s doing an up ‘do or down and sleek for her hairstyle, she always goes for shine on the carpet. Her go-to product is the NEW Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion™ Styling Oil for brilliant, lightweight conditioning.

Mingling Mondays: Awards Season 2013 ~ Golden Globes Katherine McPhee

Kathering McPhee stunned on the red carpet of the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Decked out in Theyskens' Theory with a plunging neckline and a high slit dress in black - it's no wonder that she is on many "Best Dressed" looks including Kitten Lounge's! We love the accessories that are feature here including her black and gold clutch, chain linked bracelet, diamond drop earrings and fabulous strappy black platforms.

To complete the Smash stars look, NARS was used to complete her stunning look thanks to Makeup Artist, Jake Bailey. His beauty inspiration came about as, "Katharine's dress looks like it belongs in a Helmut Newton photograph, so I thought the makeup should be strong and sultry...the kind of eye makeup that would be in one of those photographs. It's an eye look for sure - a smoky eye with a beautiful nude skin palette." You can get the same look by getting the following items!

Infusing Great Gatsby Style Into Your Look

GG-06432r: CAREY MULLIGAN as Daisy Buchanan and LEONARDO DICAPRIO as Jay Gatsby in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' drama "THE GREAT GATSBY," a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Photo courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures

The Great Gatsby, Scott F. Fitzgerald`s famous novel about the roaring 1920s, has inspired a look all its own. Meant to be a blend of modern style with the fashion earmarks of the novel`s decade, getting the Great Gatsby look is all about accessories and pairings.

Hairpieces

A sparkling hairpiece that stands out is a must-have part of the Great Gatsby look. For example, try a jeweled headband with ornate etchings or an accent stick with a jeweled end placed through a hair knot.

When you`re looking for hair accessories, make sure you`re sticking to pieces that reflect the time period. Dull golds, silver and diamonds are the best way to go. Clear gemstones were more common than colored ones in the hair accessories of the era.

For headbands, try to find bold, swirly patterns as opposed to the traditional U-shaped style. Hairpieces were immediately noticeable in the 1920s and should not be easily hidden by your hair.

Jewelry

Pearls are a surefire way to introduce the Great Gatsby look into your style, especially long and knotted strands. Choose traditional pearl colors, such as white and pink. Darker colored pearls were not common in the 1920s.

Earrings and rings should be "baubles," or large and noticeable. Pearl and diamond accents are preferable with silver or neutral tone dresses, but look for colored gemstones if you`re going with a color theme. For example, if you have a green dress and shoes, you can use accenting emerald-hued stones in your jewelry pieces to set your entire outfit off.

Dresses

A traditional flapper dress is beaded and should make some noise when you move around in it. While the dresses vary in length, often showing the knees, cleavage was often minimal. Look for dresses with higher fronts and a rounded or uneven bottom to get the correct look. Fringe is a must in a dress in the Great Gatsby style.

You have a wide range of colors available, depending on what level of Great Gatsby style you`re aiming for. If you want to go bold, try reds, golds and greens. For a more traditional look, stick to silvers, grays and variations of light brown, such as gold and shiny tan.

Accessories

Gloves, feathered boas and cigarette holders and cases were all popular in the 1920s. If you decide to go with gloves, stick to basic colors in a satin material. Gloves should be full length, past the wrist.
Purses were smaller and often matched the dress in the 1920s. Look for beaded or fringe purses, particularly clutches or other small evening purses, to complete your look. Try to find a purse that matches or complements the colors present in your dress.

Shoes

Heels were a part of most flapper outfits, particularly high heels in a traditional style. While not as comfortable as the sneakers on Etnies Shoes, higher heels in a neutral shade are preferable for the Great Gatsby look. Try on heels beforehand so you go the highest you can without being uncomfortable.

Mingling Mondays: FW2012 Trends ~ Paige Butcher

As many of you know, the 360 of what I do beyond Kitten Lounge also includes my role as an Accessories Expert. Here recently, I have been working on projects (soon to be announced) where people will ask who have I styled/dressed or who do I wish to dress and how I go about obtaining them. I thought about this when I happened to see images from Saturday night's event for Spike TV with Eddie Murphy: One Night Only. I loved seeing how Eddie's girlfriend, Paige Butcher was dressed. There is something about keeping it simple, stunning and regal so as to compliment your date on his big night while being phenomenal!

Paige is an Australian model who has graced a number of covers including Maxim, Fitness and more. In addition she has appeared in commercials, movies, etc. To be clear I have never met nor have never styled this laid back beauty; however, I can tell she has an inner boho chic vibe which I am drawn to those sensibilities when it comes to styling as you can mix glam and natural elements together. Although I think she looks great, as an Accessories Expert, I would definitely enhance her look with the following:

I would have loved to have seen her rock these Cabochon earrings with Lapis Lazuli (I have been obsessed with this stone since I was in 3rd grade and found that it has been used in many of the jewelry and tombs of Pharoahs! These earrings by Kendra Scott are glam but have a bit of an earthy nature which can be worn for an event or just around town. This Mallary Marks ring is stunning and dynamic. Catherine Weitzman has been one of my fave designers for a number of years and I love this gold leaf cuff. Finally, I would have swapped clutches for this fabulous Nancy Gonzalez blue python clutch has edge which can be rocked with denim to grab drinks with the girls. Together this look is enhanced and yet still looks fabulous with her dress and nude pumps!

Mingling Mondays: FW2012 Trends ~ Gelila Assefa Puck

Who doesn't love glamming it up as they head to an event? At a recent LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala, Wolfgang Puck's wife, Gelila Assefa, looked beyond gorgeous in this stunning graphic black and yellow dress! Althouogh her earrings are definitely stunning, I feel that she is a bit bare and would love to pop in some elements such as this Olivia Collings Antiques drop necklace which has the fab trend of fringe. In addition, this fab agate ring has geometria with this agate ring from Delfina Delettrez which fits within the conversation piece category!

Mingling Mondays: FW2012 Trends ~ Garcelle Beauvais

I'm loving how Garcelle Beauvais came to The 3rd Annual Autumn Party Feature a fashion show by J. Mendel Benefitting the Children's Institute, Inc. at The London in West Hollywood. We love how she rocked out her black cocktail dress with this bolero, simple clutch and a pop of color for her heels. Her earrings are absolutely stunning! I'm a huge believer in wearing a fabulous necklace and bringing in an additional texture to the look. This cluster necklace from Donna Karan is a great way to merge the hues together and to bring another layer of fall into this look. I love her look when it comes to her lip and to achieve it would apple NARS Cosmetics Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil (obsessed) and Dream Creams Lip Palette from Laura Geller which allows you to layer on another dynamic shade on top (which is a great way to get your desired lip).

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Upgrade Classic Black

Roll over the image above to find more information about why I love these images

I have so many outfits and every now and then, I know that it's nice to have a fab outfit where I don't have to rock heels! I'm obsessed with this Black Romper which begs to have a number of fun accessories that are perfect for a night out with your friends or your significant other! I adore this Nancy Gonzalez hot pink crocodile clutch. Pair this with Ivanka Trump's pearl seed tassel necklace which adds a bit of a Victorian element to this high slit romper. Finish this look with fab Gucci crystal black sandals and this ring and bracelet Giuseppe Zanotti set and earrings from Ippolita!

Mingling Mondays: SS 2012 Trends ~ Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton

Over the past few days, we have all heard about The Queen's Diamond Jubilee which celebrates Queen Elizabeth's 60 years as the Queen of England. With a number of celebrations, this was a great way to check out a number of fashionable ways to rock a look while being respectful of the decorum that this series of events requires. Kate Middleton (picture courtesy of WENN.com), rocked out in this amazing Alexander McQueen pin dress at the River Pageant Flotilla. I have seen it worn by a number of celebrities and I love the way that Kate is wearing it. She paired this with one of her favorite go to shoes - the nude pump by L.K. Bennett.

I would complete this look with the fun and compact clutch by Nina which has a nice embellishment on the top of the clasp. I would also pair these Charriol champagne diamond and bronze drop earrings. Together this is such a fab look!

If you want to get in on a celebration, you can go to a number of bars that are whipping up drinks in honor of this event! Our friends at Whitehall here in NYC (19 Greenwich Ave) have The Queen's Jubilee Cocktail made by mixologist, John McCarthy.

1 1/2 measures of U'Luvka Vodka

1/2 a measure of Lemon

1/2 a measure of St. Germain or elderflower cordial

1/2 Plymouth Sloe Gin

2 dashes of Lavender bitters 2 dashes of Rose Water

Garnished with an edible Flower

Pour all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.

Shake and strain. Garnish.

Serve in Coup Glass

Mingling Mondays: SS 2012 Trends ~ Kris Jenner

The Kardashians definitely have a matriarch that keeps everything in check even while she works on her personal empire. Last week, Kris Jenner stepped out to attend Google and The Hollywood Reporter hosted an event right before the White House Correspondants dinner! I love Kris Jenner wearing this long sleeved banded dress in white! It's a sexy look while definitely being age appropriate as she is always on point with her look .We're loving her woven black clutch and may we suggest this one by Bottega Veneta which is oh so chic. I'm drooling over her earrings as they are classy, eye popping and can be noticed wherever you happen to stand! To get a similar look, try Colucci Diamonds availale at one of my favorite sites, Forzieri! Finally, it's always about the shoes, I would have actually opted for this fab mesh pair by Giuseppe Zanotti as I love the fun exchange of textures between mesh, banded and woven! White is so crisp and there is a way to bring it to a feminine as well as an edgy look.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Whimiscal Mint

I have been obsessed with mint for a number of months and when I saw that one of my favorite designers and friends, Aiisha had this gorgeous piece, it made me think of all the things that I love about summer, rooftop parties and jetsetting! I love how it looks on the runway with a simple sandal and hair pushed up so that you definitely look like a sun kissed goddess, but of course I had to add the full on look! I love how simple and eye catching these Virgins, Saints and Angels earrings are as they have such a whimsical feel for this look. Pair this with the fabulous Alberto Juan Prohibition Cocktail that's a fabulous peridot cluster cocktail ring! Jil Sander has a fabulouse envelope clutch in my favorite material - python! Finally, a simple freshwater pendant is an excellent way to cap off this look by Athena Designs.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Sun Child

It's all about bringing sunshine with you wherever you go! Start off with this fun piece by Thakoon! Sometimes people get overwhelmed when choosing pieces that not only have a primary vibrant color but other hues that are in it as well! I love that there is such an exotic look to this dress that you should pair it with a set of 2 bronze tone arm cuffs from Maison Martin Margiela. Slip on Elliott Chandler's citrine cocktail ring as it's another item to keep you in a sunny disposition. Julie Tuton's earrings are the perfect way to rock this look for those messy bun days. This Chloe sequined box clutch ties in the remaining colors of this dress in a fun way without being matchy matchy. Finally Charlotte Olympia has fabulous Rapunzel raffia crepe de chine wedge pumps which are super cute and sweet to this fun look.

Mingling Mondays ~ Emma Stone Rocks SAG

The above pictures are courtesy of Just Jared from the SAG Awards that aired last night. As many of you know, as much as I love award season, I am always slightly sad when I see the lack of love that is given to Accessories. As an Accessories Expert, I feel that many of the pieces that are worn are put on as an after thought OR left out simply to go for some "minimalist aesthetic" which doesn't make sense. But I have to say that Emma Stone's look not only looked appropriate for her but used a number of fab pieces that enhanced her look. Her fab earrings are from Tiffany & Co and her dress as well as the accessories (cute shoes and clutch) are from Alexander McQueen. I love that her monotone look doesn't wash her out nor does it look drab! In fact, the accessories create a playful effect that creates elements of whimsy! This is such a fab look with a number of details that don't take away from other components of the overall look.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Accessorize Your Dragon

Next week is the Chinese New Year and of course there are ways to sport this through fab accessories that I have curated for you today! I'm in love with Daniela Swaebe's Dragon Horn Cuff which will look fab with any outfit that you're rocking! When it comes to necklace options, I'm always a fan of John Hardy's dragon pieces and love this necklace with the dragon encircling you and closing this piece with this fab ring. If you're not glamming it up and going for a casual look, Borgioni's dragon necklace sitting on the horn is a perfect look. Diego Percossi Papi's earrings are ornate and have a touch of feminine pink while I also love the dramatic Dragon Hoops by Noir Jewelry! Finally, you know that I love statement rings and Alsplendour allows you to rock the double dragon look!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ W Magazine Golden Globes Awards Party

Yaya Dacosta looks amazing seen here at W Magazine's 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards party. You may recognize her as the runner up in America's Next Top Model Cycle 3, she has been in a number of campaigns for Oil of Olay, Sephora and more as well as movies such as Tron: Legacy, The Kids are All Right and of course in TV she has been on All My Children, Army Wives, Ugly Betty and more! Just like yesterday we showed an amazing look an re-accessorized it, here I feel there are not enough accessories. During award season I am always shocked how this portion of the look seems to be left to the last minute or is not embraced as much as it should be.

I love the black dress and think that it makes Yaya gorgeous and I love that she popped in this fabulous green with her shoes and her bracelet - to add to this look, I would mix in white gold, gold and diamonds which creates a playful look. The dress is so dynamic that adding in a bit of whimsy will add to the playful look. I love Sethi Couture's pink and white diamond flower ring which is a fab cocktail piece that is perfect for a night out. Mizuki's triple crescent triangle necklace blends the two elements together and will play nicely with the off the shoulder dress without competing with it. Finally, I'm in love with Orlando Orlandini's white gold earring drops - such a decadent look and perfect to wear with a number of outfits beyond the red carpet.

Fashionable Fridays ~ DPA Gifting Lounge Golden Globes

Tomorrow is the Golden Globe Awards which puts us within awards season as we watch who will be winning, what they're wearing and more - there are other events that are also attended around each of these shows. Above, Christina Simpkins is at the 2012 DPA Golden Globe Awards Gift Suite. DPA (Virgins, Saints and Angels so I would pair this ring with this look as I love that it picks up the tones of the dress that Christina is wearing. Plus it's an amazing conversation piece as well. I'd actually swap out the earrings (which are lovely) that she's wearing with this pair by Mizuki as it's such a dainty and beyond glam look that doesn't conflict with the eye popping necklace that I would put in by Stephen Dweck. Together this look is playful and glam which is what you want to go for even when you're popping into the gifting suites!
