Mingling Mondays: Cinco de Mayo is Tomorrow

Cinco de Mayo is always a lot of fun to get a few friends together and to enjoy a great party! Fortunately, I received a great tip about a restaurant that will have great food and drinks from 5 - 7pm! Not only is Elizabeth included within our Beaches, Backyards, Roofdecks and Barbecue Guide, but it is one of my favorite picks for a night out for Cinco de Mayo. Elizabeth is known for its Outdoor Garden which will be "the spot" for the big festival tomorrow. Enjoy .50 shots, tequila flavored sorbet/gelato and tacos - and yes $5 Taneto cocktails. I will defintiely be here and I can't wait to see what goodies will be in the Pinata as well! This is a great way to kick off May and even if it's rainy, the specials will more than make up for it!

Trendy Thursdays: Makes Scents

I love having a nice scent that you can carry with you without having too much in your bag. These cute slim line perfumes are perfect and who doesn't need to not only begin the day smelling fresh but to have something on hand that allows you to freshen up without the bulk of having large containers. So I have been juggling between two scents - Citrus Vervain which definitely wakes me up in the morning and then there is the subtle smell of Sweet Tea which is my personal favorite. It has amazing staying power and yet, I find myself reaching for them when I am out and about or need a pick me up! Elizabeth W is a beautiful collection with great natural scents that just allow you to enjoy them without feeling overpowered. With a number of items in their product line beyond perfumes, this is a great way to build up your body care products!

Snazzy Sundays: Eat, Pray, Love

Eatpraylove For weeks I had heard people talking about Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert - wherever you go, if someone is reading something - this book is bound to pop up. So as I headed out for vacation, I picked this book up. Once I was above 10,000 feet, I pulled out this book and the woman next to me asked if I knew anything about it. I explained what little I knew since I hadn't really read it yet and she let me know that she didn't even finish it and that it was a bit slow. Later in the week at the pool, another woman said the same thing!

Last night I finally got to India (this is someone who can read a book in a day if it's truly engaging) and I have to say that there are moments of struggle here but I am hoping that I can get past this and find amazing gems in this story! I do like it but it is definitely a challenge at times. So today, I will continue on with this book - has anyone finished it that definitely loved it? No spoilers please!
