Now when he entered the world of Team Zoe, Brad Goreski was all about rocking the bow tie and making it super chic. After watching the last season, it seems that he has moved on to other fashionable choices. But I have to say that here at Kitten Lounge, we fell in love with the look. The bow tie is not meant to hang with only tuxes but also something for the everyday from heading to brunch to hanging out with friends! I was introduced to OoOTie during Fashion Week and had to include them today! With the weather getting colder and colder, I love how cozy this look is! Now this particular bow tie is out of stock but I LOVE how cute it is and can't wait until we have a photoshoot to show how we rocked the bow tie! This will be up in a few weeks but until then, enjoy how we paired it with this John Varvatos Shawl Collar Cardigan, skinny jeans and square watch bracelet by Burberry.
Woo I need a vaca from the weekend! I love when they're action packed but I also love when I get a little rest in. Sundays are meant for errands whether it's doing some grocery shopping, picking up laundry or remembering that you have a wine event at a friends. Make sure that you help the environment out by keeping it reuseable. Today is a super quick and easy day but I definitely wanted to show how you can not only protect Mother Earth but keep it fashionable too!
Yesterday I hit the gym after taking a bit of a break. I always exercise but I wanted to focus on strength training and more. With that in mind, I'm a big believer in dressing for the part! With that said, I love Victoria's Secret Pink, I work out in it, lounge and travel in it! One of the best collaborations that VS Pink could have done is create lines of clothing from universities! I love wearing my Alma Mata, Indiana University and having a little bling with yoga pants is perfect! The fact that it's grey is also a huge bonus and of course, I love pairing it with a simple tank top.
Finish this look off with Stella McCartney - I love her collaboration with Adidas the sneakers are cute and have a very fashionable flair and I love the bag which can hold everything that you feel you need!
I think August has us baffled here on the east coast. These are supposed to be the dog days of summer and this week I have sported cute scarves and have thought about some of my cuter long sleeve items as well. So once those come out, it's hard to deny that we need to think about fall and to make sure we have fun core pieces as we toggle back and forth in this transitional weather. These are great items that are perfect for work, running errands and for a night when you'll be out and about.
It's nice to know that so many people are doing their part to ensure that we help save the Earth. With so many options, it's nice to see how creativity is being used within these areas. Today, I found out about Gypsy Style which creates bags that are made out of 100% plastic and they come in a variety of styles for an overnight or weekend trip, to carry your cosmetics and of course to carry your Yoga Mat! I think that this is a such a cute idea and love the pockets and the vibrant colors as well. I think that with so many people turning to this form of material, it's nice to know that you can support the Earth, positive health and of course your need to be eternally fashionable. Check out more pieces from this site to see what Gypsy Style you are!
First off, Coutorture has an amazing segment that looks at amazing designs and pairs them with starfish. For example, looking at this beautiful dress, you can see a bit of the starfish on the right! If you love this gallery, you will want to visit Coutorture to see additional images that are apart of the "Three As Four for Starfish" Gallery. I love how seeing the two images together, generate a lot of similarities. Obviously, you can also enjoy other fashion shows and interesting editorials that they have created on their own! It's always nice to know that there is something fashionable going on and between visiting this site and seeing other blogs such as this that are apart of the community, you will never run short of getting your fix satisfied! These images are not only fashionable; however, it leads to something that will be introduced on The Kitten Lounge over the next few weeks!
As many of you know, I am all about style, entertainment and a great time as well. To this end, I want to introduce the component of travel. Throughout the next few weeks of the summer and going into Indian Summer/the fall, I will be taking you into places that are a car, plane or train ride away. We all have our favorite places to go to and sometimes with half day Fridays and extended weekends you want to go somewhere that you weren't aware of whether it is down the turnpike or in another state! I hope to bring you cute restaurants, boutiques and so much more. It will be like an ongoing travel guide of sorts which you can refer to no matter when you opt to go! If you have a place you would like to highlight, let me know as I am getting my Ame & Lulu bag packed for these great weekends!
I love this season! There is a show every where you turn and we can all allow our inner (fill in the blank) Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor come out. Although many of these pieces may not be something that you would wear out, you can definitely take some nods from these fashion greats! Fortunately, I am a fan and would wear anything that came off this runway! Salvatore Ferragamo is one of my favorite designers and recently in Milan he unveiled a line that I would not mind having in my closet!
My favorite outfit (that I would wear in a jiffy) is this super cute cocktail dress that not only wraps and has a beautiful key hole effect, but it also has a cute scarf. This is such a sassy look which makes us all feel that we are red carpet ready. I love the classic blue color and I love the snazzy elements that allow for shimmer. In addition, I love the idea that you can pair this with a cute clutch (I am so about this and feel that it is a fashion essential).
The peek a boo effect of this outfit is so cute! This is perfect to wear along or over denim and leggings. This is perfect for a night out when you are going to a premiere of some sort and you want to show how cool you look. Once again the shimmer is much appreciated!
This outfit makes me think of a disco dancer. I love the shape of this outfit and how it fits the upper body and instead of becoming a dress, it's a pant suit that is not only sexy but extremely classy as well. I love the black, white and grey colors of this piece.
My favorite "night time" look from this collection is this top. I love how it loops around the neck and the pop of color which shows a green portion of this outfit. I have always been a fan of this look and with a little Hollywood Tape, this is an outfit that will have every eye looking at you no matter where you go. Although I have shown a few images here, make sure you visit Coutorture to see more from this show and many others!
Earlier this month, models presented Reem Acra's Pre Fall 2008 Collection. Courtesy of Yahoo and the AP, it's always great to see what evening gowns are on the horizon for next year. I love the regal look of these gowns and have a few favorites that I wouldn't mind having within my own collection (namely within the brown gown's design is absolutely beautiful)! For those that are a fan of this collection, you'll love seeing previews of what this designer has within the full collection.
