Trendy Thursdays ~ Kaleidoscope Beauty

I love my beauty trunks as there are a number of goodies that are in there for any given situation. Since I'm always receiving mascaras, eyeshadows and more prior to their release, I know that whatever look I'm going for is bound to be in one of cases! With that said, sometimes I go for what speaks to me in theory - it's not even lifestyle specific. Right now I'm definitely loving a few pieces that will be included in future outings from traveling, brunch and just being out and about.

ACCESSORIES INSPIRATIONS

My inspiration comes from this fabulous multi colored cocktail ring which reminds me of a kaleidoscope from Sharon Khazzam who is known for her one of a kind pieces. I love a great ring and many of you know that it's my signature without a doubt. This ring has a number of colors in it which also inspired me when I'm thinking of looking great for whatever the occasion happens to be.

GET THE BEAUTY LOOK

Last week, I attended HSN's Oz Preview which had a number of brands that had created products for the launch of the movie which is coming out on Friday (so excited). Urban Decay created two kinds of color palettes and I have been loving the one I received which embodies Glinda the Good Witch! The collection comes with eyeshadows, eyeliner and a lip pencil. It's such a great number of hues and I love that everything (minus the lip pencil) can be stored within the case. Another eyeshadow favorite (which is perfect for smoky eyes) of mine is Sue Devitt and although I have the purple version of this, the green Marine Minerals is definitely on trend and a great series of hues to have. Another eyeshadow that I love is YSL's Ombre in Topaz Blue! When I feel that it's a bit bright, I love blending it in with charcoal. Another beauty fave that pulls tones of the ring into this selection is Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Slippers which is a rich garnet with a bit of shimmer.

Obviously great skin is maintained skin! I LOVE cleansing wipes and have a number of brands I use that are amazing in a number of ways. I also carry a to go version with me as there are times where I have to change from one makeup look to another - these Sephora Express Cleansing Wipes are perfect! I think it can never be said enough but SPF regardless of whether the sun is out, regardless of the season and DEFINITELY regardless of your skin tone is an essential. I just started trying out Murad's Age-Proof Suncare Oil Free Sunblock. I love that it has pom in it and is great coverage for the skin.

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ Met Ball 2012

Yesterday we swooned over Beyonce looking amazing in her dress at Vogue's Met Ball which was held Mon night! Today, we're all about how chic Tom Ford always looks and how although he rocked a fab accessory, Chanel Iman (she is perfectly accessorized), what else could he have included in his look?

I would have popped in a little red! I love Movado's Red Label Watch which blends well with cufflinks by Barneys which have the same theme as well as one of my favorite designers, David Yurrman. This signet ring with garnet is very classic and more importantly, eye catching!

Mingling Mondays ~ Turkey Day Fashion 1

This week, I'm sharing some fun fashionable items that you can wear on Thanksgiving! Whether you're hosting, attending family dinners, hopping or going out to eat - you still have to show up wearing something and there are so many options! This year, we're hosting so of course there is a lot of excitement and work - with a short week, everything is accelerated. My inspiration for today's look comes from my every growing love of kaftans! I love that they flow and although they come in long and short options, I love this one from Pucci that blends vibrant color (perfect as it is truly seasonless). I love the blend of yellow and wine so I carried this through the entire look when it comes to accessories!

Slip on Alberto Juan's garnet ring which is such a rich look. This Imperial Jasper cuff available at Anthropologie, has such a fab natural look to it and yet embraces the golden goddess look. Rock these amazing Fendi cutout platform booties as whether you're at home or not, a heel is always nice to have. Virgins, Saints and Angels has fab earrings that complete the look and on the chance you decide to step out for espresso or drinks after your lavish dinner, grab your clutch by Rochas as you're a cab away from the next stop on your Turkey Day list!

Wearable Wednesdays: Sponsored Post ~ Anjolee Jewelry

Last week, I shot with a major magazine with a phenomenal diamond brand. There is something that boosts a girl's sense of being pulled together when it comes to being frosted in diamonds. They truly are a girl's best friend (or a super close second to our furry four legged friends) so the fact that Anjolee Jewelry is today's sponsor (no I didn't shoot with them last week), I'm super excited to introduce them to you as one look on the site will allow you to think of all the ways to spruce up your outfits from casual to luxe. If you have yet to rock a pair of diamonds and are looking for a place to start, I suggest thinking about getting a diamond tennis bracelet! This is a classic piece that is a must be added into your wardrobe and when you think about a heritage item - it's a fab place to start. To this day, I still have my first few diamond tennis bracelets that were gifts for graduations, recitals and more. It's a mark in time and they can still be worn stacked together for the ultimate bling!

I love that you can rock the traditional diamond look but that doesn't mean that you should forget about thinking of a Gemstone Bracelet as they have a number of stones in blue sapphires, blue topaz, garnet, amethyst, peridot and citrine. This is a great way to add pop to a traditional look and it allows you to begin thinking of customizing your look as Anjolee allows you to do so with all of their jewelry starting with your preferred metal type (10k, 14k white or yellow gold and platinum), diamond quality carat size and bracelet length.

Another fab classic is a birthstone bracelet - I'm never above rocking a sapphire piece as I am a September baby. Anjolee offers the largest selection of bracelets online and the fact that they are the manufacturer of all the items allows you to feel secure in knowing that they stand behind their brand - which also means excellent quality at amazing price points. Beyond the classic pieces, they have a wide array of pieces that include (but are not limited to) diamond rings, diamond necklaces, pendants, diamond bangles, earrings and men's bracelets. All of your purchases have a 30 day return policy, free shipping, free gift with every purchase and free gift packaging.

Fashion Week Edition Spring 2010 ~ Christian Siriano

If you're a fan of Project Runway, then you know all about Christian Siriano who definitely stole the show and was super talented. In our ongoing sneak peek on the best look that hit the runway, I present one of his stunning pieces that would be perfect to be worn for the Emmys. You could go in so many directions with this dress whether you pair it with citrine, garnet, rubies etc but I am a huge fan of topaz as it's such a smoky subtle color. There is something very victorian about this look. Here we have a gorgeous cuff by Bounkit and teardrop earrings by Allison Shiller. There is such an elegance and the dress is such a standout that it doesn't need to be accessorized too much. I can't wait to see who I will see wearing this!
