I love playing with tones of grey it's a gorgeous color to pair with others or alone. I love Juicy Couture's Peyton boot which is a very dark grey and over the knee which is one of my favorite looks. Cole Haan's Prudence bag (I have it in Red is my favorite and this was one of the best presents that I could have received this year! When it comes to jewelry I say silver all the way and the pop of citrine is just enough to have a little flash. I love going to Madison Ave to head to Judith Ripka and her collection is so large that you're bound to find just what your looking for! Of course this look comes together with skinny jeans or leggings and I love that you can pair a white tee with a nice grey wrap which is perfect if you're out and about or going out to a nice dinner. Not only are these key pieces but Bluefly is known for having fab pieces that are always available for what you need!
My favorite look when I’m running around is a tank/tee and jeans – now that I’m obsessed with leggings, you can add that to my core look. When it starts to get chilly, you’re bound to see me in a scarf or a cute wrap of some sort. Of course, I’m never without my accessories as I think you can never really have too many and as much as I like to embrace color – I truly love mixing black, grey and denim. So today’s look brings in the sequin top (I used to be very against sequins and look at me it’s a tank - love the racer back tank and a beret which I’m all about). The wrap is amazing I love the fact that you can have something to know the chill off, that it’s angled and it flows. The leggings have a denim look so that’s the best of both worlds and a dream to travel in.
The other day, I shot a video for Chicology and we went to Fenton & Fallon and I fell in love with their mixed media jewelry so I definitely love popping in this edgy look with this femme look. The onyx ring is large and bold – you know I love this and I have to say that the shoes are absolutely fab! The cuff works well and you can never go wrong with a bootie. Whenever you opt to take off the wrap, you have this great chunky/layered cuff which really elongates the arm. Day to night your set and looking super glam!
Two of my favorite colors are black and grey! When done right, it's very dramatic! As usual, you can click on the links above to learn more about the designers. Parker is a designer that is new to me that I'm falling in love with! This Three Ruffle Dress is awesome! I can say this as I have the blouse version of this dress and will actually wear it during an upcoming episode of To Be a Star! This line has so many great feminine qualities that still have a bit of an edge so I would definitely wear this dress to brunch or to an opening (even my 30th bday as it is that cute)! I've talked about Ana Reign before and I love the large cocktail ring and the fact that eyes won't be able to look away at your hand! Jimmy Choo is always a favorite and I love the open look of this 'caged' heel!. You know that I have always been a fan of Ted Rossi and I gave this piece which I wear all the time with tanks and leggings. This adds a lot of texture without the heft due to the skin. To tie in the sleek and the texture look that you're putting together, I love the clutch by Carlos Falchi which has a great print while also blending colors. I truly love that if you opt to do black and grey this is a such a fun way to do it without looking old and dated! Take some time to think about how to do an edgy/flirty look with the LBD!
Yesterday I dropped by my friend's office and although I had something to talk to her about, I'm glad she interrupted me and asked my opinion of a shoe that she was designing. Who knew that Timberland had a design your own shoe? Not only can you design it but there is no detail from lace color, which portion of the shoe will have what color and even the thread color is all up to you! If you feel like monogramming, you can have the tongue, side of the shoe and inside of it as well! I haven't had a boat shoe since I was in Middle School and I think I will get a pair! I love my color choices as I am a fan of burgundy, purple, grey and olive! If this seems like something you would love to do, they offer it in men's and women's so this will make a great gift as well! Click the link in the spread to begin putting your look together (if you'd rather not design your own they have some custom designs that you may want to choose from)!
I love boots! I love i them in the winter and when you hit those long parts where you wonder if you can take another one of those grey days, there is solace in knowing that you have cute footwear! I am such a fan of these boots as it allows you to rock a number of looks by wearing these. Each one is good whether you're going for a sassy mood like the Magdalena, a casual and comfortable style as in the Rampo Boots or something that shows you kick ass and take names as in the Botkier boot! Either way there are so many fun options available that you'll be excited to know what look you're going for.
I am definitely obsessed with Yorkie's and making sure that mine will be super cute once I get it. I got a link for Ralph Lauren's pup collection and I am in love. Of course I emailed my sister and said that I would pick her up a cute shirt for Jimmy Choo! I love that they are having a great sale so how could you not? Even if your pup couldn't stand wearing clothing it would make a cute one time picture at the very least. I love that this polo shirt is so cute and could so see my bf wearing a Polo to match with our puppy when we get him. Now, when it comes to my personal favorite that is apart of Ralph's collection (don't you love that we are on a first name basis - or at least I am), I like to think of when the little guy is in the cold when he needs to visit the outside facilities to do his business!
I am a huge fan of grey and I love that I won't have to fight with the sweatshirt to feed his leash through as this has a discreet hole that it can be fed through. This is such a sporty little look and works well with my hoodie and yoga pants! Once again, you should definitely guage whether your puppy would actually like this look but if he does, this would be the cutest thing ever! I am so getting the sweatshirt in hopes that my puppy will enjoy it and if not at least I will have something super cute to look at! I think I enjoy all the details that are put into it the most!
This week's pic of Jimmy Choo is when he was a little smaller but definitely just as spunky now as he was back then! How cute is he - how funny that this was in May and already he looks so different! I think that JC could be a Doggie model he definitely has a little attitude!
At any given time someone is strutting on the runway wearing something fabulous and during this portion of Australian Fashion Week, Leonard Salinas' collection hit the catwalk with amazing pops of color that you can definitely see in this shot. First off, I love his silhouettes and he definitely knows how to show some of our best parts - it's nice to bring back that old elegance and to mix it up with interesting embellishment and also amazing rich hues! This is not for the faint at heart.
Now I have to say, that this beautiful grey/silver piece caught my eye since it is one of my favorite colors to wear and I loved the detailing on the neck as well. I wasn't sure if it was something that I would personally wear but I think that this shapes the body well and would be amazing to wear to an opening at a gallery, a cocktail event launching a book that just hit the New York Times or any other occassion that calls upon us to step it up when it comes to our attire. But I think the magic in this piece comes when this model gives us another view.
The back of this dress took me off guard completely and instantly this become a piece that I want in my collection ASAP. I love that this simple look completely makes this dress go from safe to daring and yet your inner Audrey never has to wonder if this is appropriate to wear to the functions mentioned above. This dress is perfect to pair with a necklace that is intended to be worn down your back and of course you hair down is perfect but having it in a messy updo of sorts wouldn't be a bad idea. If you love this piece and the peeks that you can see in the background, see more from this show and others on Coutorture!
As many of you may know, I spent my Saturday morning at the Lacoste Fashion Week Show. I have to say that I LOVED the show for many reasons. I loved the end of the show which was like a breathing ad with everyone doing their best ski bunny pose. It was definitely a dramatic way to close the show! In addition to the end of the show was the Jamaican inspired portion of the show with amazing music to match. As a whole the show was a lot of fun and since I watched the show with various members of Lacoste/Samsonite, I enjoyed tuning into the fun bags that this runway. Courtesy of Coutorture, I have the runway show for your review. For those of you that may not have been at the show, I loved the collegiate style wool bags that were given out - yes there will be a pic of this soon! Whether you get this in grey or in the maroon color, this is definitely something that will be super cute in the fall to sport around the city or wherever you happen to be.
Fashion Week is finally here! We all kicked it off in many ways but I spent my first show at Victorya Hong's show. She launched her line Na-be which was a hommage to the 80's and bringing it into a nice neutral palatte of colors with a pop of color unexpectedly showing up in the line. This recently voted off contestant on Project Runway was one of my favorite designers within this season. I love her designs so this was a great way to kick off my Fashion Week by seeing this show which was at the Altman building in NYC. Even better on this rainy day, was to see the show with fellow members of the Coutorture Network. As a member, we are all interested in presenting various elements of fashion .
My favorite outfit from the runway show would be a tie. The first one was this belted look. I think this is such a cute outfit that can be worn in a number of situations. My second look is this cute
grey piece.
I love the grey necklace tunic dress with the shoulders that have cut outs. I love that it was shown with pants; however, I think would be cute to pair with boots and cute leggings as well. I have to say that this was really a great show that presented over 29 looks with grey and blue being dominate colors within this presentation. To see more images of this show or any other show that you may not have gotten to - visit Coutorture which has pics and videos of these shows. What a great way to enjoy Fashion Week in between the shows and on your way to wherever you're heading to next.
