Can you believe it's Thanksgiving this Thursday? The past few days have been a serious whirlwind of events and I have to say that one of the highlights was the Wired Holiday Pop Up Store Launch Party that took place last Fri. All the must have gadgets were available to play with and of course I enjoyed seeing Moby spin and the various celebs that happened to attend. You can visit the Pop Up Store and get many of the items on your list taken care of. It was also fun to hang out with Sonali (Pitch Control PR), Emily (Mouth of the Border), Walt (For Orchestra and Damien! What a fun night that will definitely be one of the highlights going into the holiday season.

Today has been a hectic day but in the evenings I'm starting to go to dinners, birthday parties, holiday events and more. So even though the day is spent with me just keeping up with everything, I like the ability to go out to look like a million bucks. My outfits are always simple and of course, I love to pile on the accessories! Today, we're focuing on Free People's one shoulder dress which you can wear as a dress or with leggings if you're so inclined. Nothing is better (at least for me) than to have a solid color and then to pop in one of my favorite skins - python to add a little texture and to make the whole look pop! I became obsessed this time last year with the 24/7 Eyeliner from Urban Decay. My eyes are ALWAYS lined with their Kohl color. If I happen to go to a Sephora and they have run out of that color, I will stalk every Sephora in the city to get it! Nars Cosmetics is another passion that I have for almost 2 years! I love their body polish which keeps me glowing, their eyeshadows, gloss and more but I also love their nail colors as well. Any shade that has a pop of vixen in it, I'm all over it. Finally, when it comes to Sephora, I could spend all my hours in there with so many brands to play with. In addition, I love their private line as well. Many times when I'm unsure of a color I start with their brand as they have so many colors!

Whatever your reason, buying a few things here and there and having multiples is an awesome way to build your beauty cases or massive trunks - whichever way you organize it! Start thinking about gifting yourself and others this holiday season!

Earlier this summer, I told you guys about a party that I had attended that launched new collaborations and styles that Charlotte Russe had incorporated into their collections. We are all familiar with Charlotte Russe; however, that night I could see that they had stepped into a new direction. In fact, one of the items in my goodie bag has made appearances at various events and girl's nights out as well (I love the bib necklace and the cuff that goes with it)!

This week I went to their Editor's preview and saw various accessories and outfits that will hit the stores of CR later on this month through Feb! When it comes to adding sparkle and bling there are plenty of dresses and tops that can be paired over leggings. There are quite a few cute options for footwear and the pieces are truly versatile. Snazzy Sundays ~ Get Your Card On

Happy November! I hope everyone had an amazing time last night whether you were in costume or not. Today marks one of the initial benchmarks of the holiday season. I know we all send a million emails and we use Social Media but I feel that when it comes to Birthday Cards and Holiday Cards, you need to make it from you. This means that I go to my favorite card store Papyrus and I spend a bit finding the best cards possible! I love making sure that I write something personal to each one! My selection incorporates Christmas, Chanukah and Holiday cards. Above are some of my favorite selections and you can get them online if you don't have the option to go to one of the stores.

Start early by finding your perfect cards. During the summer/early fall I like to write out my entire list of people who will receive a card. This way I know how many people I need to get a card for and how many types of cards I need to get. As I continue to meet people once I have a list, I make sure to add it to my list. What I love about Papyrus (especially if you have one of the stores in your town), you can walk by their windows and see what sales they have. Many times, they have a "Buy 2 Boxed Cards and Get a Third Free". Deals like this will help you out. When possible, I deliver cards by hand; however, many times I start sending them at the end of Nov to ensure that the cards have been sent out - it's a process but one that will make you feel amazing and the added benefit - getting a card in return!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Bergdorf Goodman X Douglas Little/Dell Adamo Collab

When you think the holiday season, people instantly think about NYC and their amazing holiday windows. Not to put anything against the holiday season but one of the things that I love most about the windows is that throughout the year you can see dynamic windows. On days where I have time, I love hitting the windows and seeing how everything is put together. Maybe I love it because once upon a time ago I was a Visual Merchandiser and I worked windows and setups for Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch (yes I opened the 5th Ave store) and American Girl Place (opened that store too on 5th Ave). Whenever my team would work on the windows at AGP, we always saw the Saks window team doing phenomenal displays and secretly I always wanted to be over there! Of course the epitome of windows (in my opinion) are those of Bergdorf Goodman! Whether it's the holiday or some amazing collaboration, I could stare at their windows for hours!

So, I found myself on a bit of a rainy day with nothing to do and realized that this week, the windows of Bergdorf Goodman would have the Douglas Little Dell X Adamo collaboration! This storybook themed display is my absolute favorite and I'm definitely salavating over the laptops! The last time I was this intrigued was when Vivienne Tam had the HP Mini red clutch laptops hit the runways of Fashion Week - but this is to an entirely different level!

I took the video on an evening (the best way to see any windows) when there weren't too many people (another good part of seeing windows outside of the holiday season is that you have a lot more access and less people around you) so I apologize for the bumps or if the sound isn't right.

The images that are placed throughout this post came from one of THE go to places when you're talking about windows, displays, finding jobs within this portion of the industry etc - Fashion Windows (more pics are also available here as well) and of course, Elle.com got in on the action as you can buy the laptops through them and you can see Erin Clements in detail comments about each of the laptops! Which one if my favorite - the Mother of Pearl of course would be perfect if I was trying to make an impression and had a super chic office! My everyday laptop would be the one within the Webmaster window as I would be less concerned about dirt!

Last weekend I happened to be in White House Black Market (which I have to say I have only been in a handful of times and although I'm a huge fan of black, I never find anything there) and fell in love with this dress - they didn't have any more in my size but I knew I wanted to include the Flutter Tier Ruffle Dress within a spread. On my 30th birthday back in September, one of my very good friends wore a flapper girl style dress and I knew I wanted one. When I saw this dress, I saw the similarities and actually loved this one more as it doesn't have fringes but just ruffles. On the website, they suggest that this could be paired with jeans (I question this) but without a doubt it's super cute with black tights which give it a classic macabre, victorian look which is stunning or you can go without tights - I have to say that I would keep the tights. With the dark elements of this dress, I would definitely pair it with fab gold pieces and of course you can't go wrong with a pair of Louboutin's to pull everything together and to give a pop of color as you walk away!

With the holiday season coming closer, we'll be going to a variety of parties so why not some fun interpretations on the classic black dress? You can also play around with whatever look your interested in as well!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Startup Lucky & Tasty Morsels Bakery

You know that beyond talking fashion, I love keeping you updated on what's going on with my friends who are in the industry! Tasty Morsels Bakery has had a lot of success this past year and the year isn't even over! I feel so fortunate that in many ways, when founder and cookie baker extraordinaire, Crystal Horton and I had a chance to sit down and really learn about one another that I was able to learn about her business from the beginning. Since then, I've seen the cookies appear in the goodie bag for the Brooklyn Cancer Society's Pink and Black Tie Gala hosted by Stacy London, she was apart of Bust's Craftacular in Brooklyn and she was one of the personalities that appeared on the episode of the web based reality show, To Be a Star where she served as one of my friends in the industry who sat with some of the aspiring models in the show due to them winning this time with us.

Of course it was this same day that we bumped into @Aronado after we had finished shooting and somehow the three of us came up with the idea that he should interview her on his show StartUp Lucky which talks with those starting up their own businesses. Crystal is not only someone who has combined her love of fashion and baking but she's also done something that I'm super proud of. She has embraced Social Media and although she is learning the ropes and treading carefully, I love the fact that she is integrating this into her plans! You all know that I'm a huge advocate and I love that you'll see her out there sending tweets via @Tasty_Morsels Bakery. Watch this interview where @Aronado does what he does best - chatting it up and of course, I'm also throwing in my two cents as I play co-host! It was such a good time and if you have yet to enjoy her cookies, your holiday isn't complete without having them and since we have just signed off from summer - we're definitely in fall/holiday mode which is perfect for gifting! I love the roundups! Sometimes, I need to be reminded of all the goodies that have been going on, will take place here and maybe just something that needs to be mentioned because you guys will love it! So what happened over the past week that is of note: Well, I am rapidly moving in with Food Editor and boyfriend, Paul so I am all about decor at the moment! It may be a little TMI but I could use some design direction as I am in the middle of quite a few things at the moment!

I love reading and you got your first introduction of A.W. Gryphon who will be featured throughout the month as she is the author of 'Blood Moon' which is perfect as we get closer to Halloween. This is the first book in the 3 book series letting us know about the path of Amelia and how she not only finds herself but her own truths as Wiccan. Along the way she has some amazing Chanel pieces and this past Thurs, we received some great beauty tips!If you missed it, you know that I am all about Dashing Diva and they had Jennifer Hudson stop by and they are doing an amazing contest with ABC Daytime Soaps and SOAPnet! This past Thursday, you were hit with 3 beauty items and one of my favorites was the lovely Brazilian sisters of Beam Laser Spa - the idea of never having to shave again makes me gidddy and after 6 - 8 treatments it will be a complete transition! Mingling Mondays: Madeleine's Are My Fave

Today is a busy day! I woke up this morning thinking that my boyfriend and Food Editor of Kitten Lounge, Paul, will be attending a foodie event which will find its way on next Monday's post! Of course I will attend this afternoon after going to a few meetings myself which will include info for Island Fashion Week, my clothing line and the lines of others. Of course, all of this will end with us hanging out at a bar to watch Paul's beloved Jets (and I will enjoy watching Brett as well). So this morning is definitely key as we tie up a lot of loose ends and start projecting the rest of this year (how crazy is it that we are close to the beginning of a new year??). We will be confirming a future weekend trip which will make its way on this site and so much more.

So when it comes to a busy day where I will be running around, I definitely like to have something enjoying - I will start with my flavored Green Tea and maybe have a nibble of Madeleines! I love this soft cookie and I will make these this holiday season. Of course, I had to go online to check out some great recipes and Milk and Cookies Blog has a nice orange infused taste, Yumsugar had the classic and Taste of Home has a nice hazelnut one as well. What a great way to create some great variations off of the classic recipe! I knew these were amazing when I gave some to Paul one afternoon and he declared it his favorite (I couldn't believe he had never had one). Anywho - I can't wait to share a lot of the goodies that are going on on the site and as soon as I can I will let you know. Until then, treat yourself to a Madeleine!

Much like Elle of Legally Blonde, when I am frustrated, you can find me running to Dashing Diva. I love that it's pink, girlie, always has a nice drink that you can enjoy sips and they're super clean and friendly. For the time that I'm there, I can be in the moment and just enjoy my thoughts. Now that I know one of the master minds of this great nail salon, I love them even more. Robert Cleary, the Direct of Product Development and Operations always has a smile and a strong passion for this amazing chain. I took a moment with him backstage at the Erin Featherson show to find out what's going on with this brand and what we should be on the lookout for.

Snazzy Sundays: Love a Gorgeous Day

I woke up this morning and after all the stress that has been going on last week, I actually woke up and felt relief! So I have a Flip and have had it since the holidays and have never really used it. Now I am all about using it and decided I would wake up and take this amazing view of the city from the Jersey City side in Newport Pavonia. What a great way to start the day! With the amazing weather, we spent it visiting condos (yeah) and then getting acquainted with the neighborhood and finding tasty places to eat! Who doesn't love a long weekend and one that happens to fall on the Memorial Weekend? Enjoy my shaky footage and happy Sunday everyone!

Sippin Saturdays: Your Holiday Recipe is a Winner

The holidays came so quickly and are leaving even faster than you could imagine! Maybe you have some friends coming over for your party or you simply want to impress people as they come over before you all head out. You'd love to have something that shows your inner mixologist is as strong as any of your other attributes. You'll need to head out and purchase Woodford Reserve Bourbon which will be a nice spicy treat for you and everyone else. At the end of the day, something simple will not only help you save time but will allow people to see how easy it is to make something so refreshing! On this evenings drink special is the Woodford Reserve Infusion Martini. All you need is to get a few candy canes and make sure that you have a container that you can use as the two flavors blend together. This is such a nice way to present a bourbon to those that are a fan and to those that may not havr considered this to be their drink of choice.

Woodford Candy Cane

1 750mL bottle of Woodford Reserve
2 Candy Canes

Empty out bottle of Woodford Reserve into a clean container.

Place Candy Canes at the bottom of the bottle (break Candy Canes into smaller piece if need be).

Pour Woodford back into the bottle and allow the concoction to infuse for 24 hours.
