Large parties don't just host themselves! You have to mingle, keep an eye on the amount of food that's out and you may need to refresh some drinks. You can make some of your running around much easier by having this Chesapeake Ice Chest on your roof, backyard or even indoors. This is a great way to keeo all your beverages cool and this piece is on sale as well which is always nice to have. Now the party is a little more manageable when you know you have a plan and can easily check on your guests without wondering about the temperatures for your guests!
Yes this is in Mingling Mondays because rarely do I go to Pinkberry and not see groups of people in a line laughing and talking - waiting to get in. Last week, I was reading NY Mags' Grub Street which I am a fan of and found out that yet again, that which we love may not be the best for us. I don't know if I ever assumed Pinkberry to be all natural but this amazing tasty treat apparently isn't the best thing to have. I can't say that I'm shocked but it definitely won't stop me from swinging by when it's gorgeous outside to have a small cup as I walk and enjoy the day. I have yet to try my green tea goodness with some of the interesting toppings they have; however, this summer this may be a possibility. In addition, I have even made my boyfriend a mini fan of Pinkberry which is yet another reason why this is included within "Mingling Mondays" - enjoy the day even though it is a bit gross outside!
In Part II of our series, Valentine's Sippin', I want to introduce you to another drink that would be perfect to enjoy on Valentine's Day. I love that this has Appleton Rum in it which is always nice no matter when it is enjoyed. I love that it has icecream in it which is perfect for my friends who are in warmer climates or for those that may actually be in Jamaica at this point!
Cherry Heartsicle
1.5 ounces Appleton VX Jamaican Rum
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
12 cherries without stems and pitted
2.5 ounces cherry juice
Add all of the above in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy. Garnish with a spear of cherries.
You know I love to jazz it up when it comes to your accessories. I feel that casual glam is a necessity; however, have I taken it to the ultimate level? I think so - on my list are Cool Jewels Ice Trays. Now I can enjoy looking at my ice jewels as I sip my favorite beverages. Like all accessories lovers that enjoy variety, I am a fan of the different cuts of gems that are available in each tray! These are perfect for parties or even alone and make a fabulous gift. You can buy them for your own kitchen or housewarming for under $10 a tray. Check out Spoon Sisters to get some of your very own while you find other great finds that will become an absolute must for you.
Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to meet with innovative creator, Rob Black of Voyant Chai an amazingly fragrant and light tasting Chai Cream Liqueur. Visit the website to see an image of this bottle. This artistic bottle is painted and has the vibrant orange hues that are in keeping with their logo. Just like the name suggests, Chai is the dominate flavor that is infused within this drink; however, there are other flavors that support this rich spice - clover, nutmeg, black tea, oak aged rum. This is the world's first Chai Cream Liqueur.
This beverage was amazing during the summer months poured over ice. A very simple way of enjoying the drink while also being able to taste each element that gives this drink its full bodied taste. As we shift into the fall; however, you'll enjoy the possibilities that come along with this drink that is also perfect for this season and the holidays. I can't wait to taste it with a cider or to have it in my lattes. Not only does this drink mix well for drinking; however, there are a variety of recipes that make it perfect for cooking as well. With one taste of this drink, you'll enjoy making this a staple within liqueurs that are always on hand. Visit Voyant Chai and learn more about the beverage and find where they are available so that you can taste for yourself.
