Mingling Mondays ~ Morning Sunshine

Ever since Paula Patton rocked canary yellow on the red carpet during the Golden Globes - I have been looking for ways to bring this hue into my wardrobe. Now many of you who are connected to me on Facebook or on Twitter weighed in on Paula's bold look when I shared a way that one could wear it in a super cute short style by Cynthia Rowley. Some said that the color was still bold and that accessories definitely should be used to tone the color down. Today I present a muted yellow that is also layered with a grey tank. I am known for wearing tanks year around and am able to do so in the colder season by having layers! I love the burnout jersey tanktops by T by Cut 25. I would pair this over jeggings by Black Orchid Thunder (loving the side zips which add a little sass) and of course, I can stay warm by rocking T by Alexander Wang. The best thing about this cardigan is it travels well and it has a hood which will always keep you looking chic. Mixing the yellow and grey together ensures that any bold color you were concerned about - no longer becomes a problem.

Slip on these fab boots from Report (as you know that I am a huge fan of their shoes especially their thigh high boots - love the pair I have in brown) which will complete the look. I ADORE Melanie Georgacopoulos pearl and chain necklace mixing sweet and edgy together and adding a fun layer into the overall look. Effy Collection has a fun ring which is perfect for this laid back look whether you're catching a flight, popping into meetings or running errands. Slip on these stacked pyrite bracelets by Lisa Freede and end the entire look with Fendi's gorgeous satchel bag which adds another yellow but is playful and whimsical.

Mingling Mondays ~ Crisp Accessorizing

With new year wishes still being uttered we're hitting the half way mark of this month. If your week is anything like mine, you're going to be super busy and you don't know where it's taking you. So in my case, I leave my house prepared for those requests to grad drinks, a quick bite and more. I love the idea of taking a clean and simple look such as this white oxford tunic from Cold Water Creek - the embroidery is a nice touch but I am loving the leggings which are a mix of jersey and leather by Rick Owens. Dannijo's tiered Swarovski choker. Slip on Alexis Bittar's Emerald encrusted gunmetal ring which is so fabulous. Of course you can bring in a bit of the rocker chic by having Linea Pelle's wrapped bracelet which creates great layers. Slip on these fab caged heels by Christian Louboutin and to continue the fab pop of green - why not rock Ghibli python satchel.

Treasure Tuesdays: Kimmie's 5s ~ Neutral Adoration

In our last week at looking at 5 accessories that are apart of my favorite ways to complete a look, we have to go super chic! This is perfect whether you're looking to get decked out for NYE, a gala or anything else where you need to look beyond phenomenal. Start off with a dress that definitely is a conversational piece from the moment that you walk into the room! When it comes to these pieces, there is no other designer to think about other than Donna Karan! I love this twisted jersey stretch dress which is very architectual in appearance; however, being the perfect way to look amazing in comfort. A dress like this doesn't need a lot of assistance but when it comes to true wow power, this look will look just amazing with my picks.

I don't talk about earrings a lot but I love Melinda Maria's Pod Collection Black Onyx Chandelier Pod Pave Earrings which add a textured look and a decadence as well. I'm obsessed with Lanvin's Pave Crystal & Rope Necklace which adds a regal element to the look. Slip on one of my fave designers, Stephen Dweck's Mother of Pearl cocktail ring which adds some levity to the pave and onyx portion of the look. Since you're dressing for an occasion, the shoes cap off the look of dazzle with Pierre Hardy's Circle Sandal which is a crystal encrusted suede shoe. Finally, I'm loving VBH's large envelope clutch which has a fab glimmer to it.Together or separate this is the epitome of neutral adoration.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Fashionably Casual

I have to say that I do love my Saturdays as I get quite a bit accomplished with a number of projects. Soon, part of my weekend plans will involve me writing out my holiday cards. The list keeps getting larger so I have to tackle as much as I can with an increasingly limited period of time. So to do this fun task, choose a weekend when you plan to make home your base. Get cozy with this burnout linen jersey tee from J Crew and pair it with a pair of Lounge Lover jersey shorts. Many of you know that I love rocking my UGG Australia Ainsley slippers and if you're looking for something comparable, you should check out their Dakota which is the perfect way to keep your feet warm. Finish off this easy look with a Valerie Egee bronze and quartz piece as even at home, you need to be accessorized. Wrap your hands around Mikasa's mugs with the hot beverage of your choice and your body can enjoy this fab Burberry cashmere blanket. Now you can spend your time writing out the cards of your choice by Crane and Co!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Rock Your Navy

Navy is such a staple color that you may feel confused on how to dress it up. With the in between weather that we are experiencing, I thought it would be best to look at how you can rock this shade in a comfy way as well as being able to work well within your lifestyle! First it's all about the leggings, I love these grey Helmut Lang as it's stretch and jersey which allows your legs to look phenomenal. Pair this up with this fab navy Schumacher blouse which has just enough to detail where you can wear it out for a fun night out while also having it on when you're running errands, doing meetings and more! Finish off the overall look off with these fabulous Gianmarco Lorenzi suede boots! I love that it has a bit of that military embellishment which is a nice detail that you can show off with each step.

When it comes to adding a bit more bling, I love Michael Kors' rose gold watch that has a navy face. Ellen Himic's pendant smoky quartz necklace is the perfect piece that will make your blouse look fab. Finally, I'm all about rings and love this Charlotte Bjorlin D'Elia quartz ring is known as the beast ring as I love its claw like appearance.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Mud Room Inspired

This weekend we had fab weather but when I think of the fall, I think about beginning to add on layers - especially those you put on in case of inclimate weather. Growing up, when I visited my grandparents in Jersey, we also put items away in the Mud Room. This room was intended for rainy gear or umbrellas; however, we also used it for much of our outerwear. So in thinking of the Mud Room I instantly thought about these super cute Ashdale slip on shoes from UGG Australia that protect your feet from being wet but allow you be without your boots. I would wear this with jeans or other items and only when the rain wasn't torrential. Thinking of these fab hues, I thought about that cabinesque masculine since of hues and how this can pop up throughout your living space from red, blue, green and tan.

To start, your living space needs that leather chair from Ethan Allen and this rich tan hue is perfect as it's unisex in tone and begs to be dressed with this fab throw from Anthropologie. Lean back in the chair for the ultimate cozy factor by popping in a fun blue tone with this pillow. When you think about relaxing and braving the elements, who doesn't want a pop of red color for your fave mugs from Sur La Table and this vegetable bowl is perfect for snacking at Cooking.com! Keep things close and uncluttered with these spice boxes from William's Sonoma.

Finally, that great Mud Room/Ralph Lauren feel to this entire space can only be upped by actually dressing your dog in this Big Pony Dog Polo which is super cute and cozy!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Rocking Out With Fresh Diet

As I mentioned last week, it's all about staying healthy on Kitten Lounge whether it's for a designated event or your lifelong process. Each Fri, you're going to find fab ways to get styled to look fab but to dress appropriately at the gym. Right now, my obsession is workout leggings! Not only are they comfy but it pulls together your look in such a great way! Stella McCartney's yoga stretch jersey pants are definitely a must! I've been wearing these pants this week during my workouts. I love tanks and once again this Nike tank has that great fashionable look while also being suitable for hitting the machines. Complete the look by this brands' hoodie - especially when the weather begins to turn. I love Puma's and this is a cute look. I love sporting grey and black and although I pair down my jewelry when I work out, I don't exercise without at least a little bling. I'm loving Emily Armenta's ring which is definitely something you'll notice when you're on the elliptical.

Earlier this week, I've been tweeting out about Fresh Diet. No I'm not looking to lose a lot of weight as I'm a size 2 but I do believe that it's important to stay toned. As you know, I'm always traveling for work, running to events and attending brand meetings for collaborations. This means I'm grabbing food on the go or I'm so tired when I get home that I may not be making the most healthy choices (or falling asleep out of pure exhaustion). Whether you're like is super crazy or you feel that you need portion control, Fresh Diet is a customizable meal plan that creates order out of your culinary life. First you select how long your plan will be for (mine is a month), how many calories you wish to eat (I picked 1100 - 1200) and then comes the fun part. Go to your pantry and select the items that you don't like by food category. This will help you when you start selecting your daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and dessert - if you opt out of dessert you can have another snack or appetizer) as it will alert you when an ingredient you don't like is included within an item you selected. For every meal, you choose between a small selection of items and each day, you get a new series of items to choose from! Once you select, you wait for your meal to arrive which is at your door (or in my case doorman). When you've completed your meal, you can place your bag outside and they swap it - no intrusion, no worries about waiting around for the delivery and all the heating instructions are included on your handy dandy menu. I'm a huge fan and have had such a fab selection and I love that a rep reaches out to ask how everything is going. If you need to halt a delivery, everything can be managed within your account online - easy! It's definitely worth checking out and I love that they are sponsoring us in our #KLFitness as we tone up for Fashion Week.

Mingling Mondays ~ Your Award Season

We all know that we're in the midst of award season and we love seeing what our fave celebs are wearing and doing in terms of their beauty routines. But the fact of the matter is that throughout our lives, we all have award winning moments where we need to look our best and many times we're at a loss of what it means in terms of glamming it up. When in doubt, we go to our classic standbys in terms of "let me grab yet another LBD from the closet or get a new one". It has been thought that the classic LBD is either a long sleeve dress, a classic sheath or something strappy. This becomes a "uniform" of sorts and if you're always going to events, the idea of putting a little oomph into this look may put you at a loss. Everything old is new again and I'm loving David Meister's One Shoulder Jewel Cuff Dress.

First off, anytime you have a bit of unsuspecting skin peeking out, your bound to add an extra amount of exotic love to your outfit. But I love that the way the fabric drapes across your chest, you don't have to wonder about what necklace works best. This dress works for a number of body types and is amazing on days that you may feel that you would rather wear something a little more forgiving. Built into this dress, you'll love the cuff detail. In the great debate of whether you should mix gold and silver together, this is one of those situations where one shouldn't worry about this. Mixing elements is one of the best things that one can do! To incorporate this, here are items that can be worn together to complete this look or to be included with items that you already own. I love the fact that you can pop these chandelier earrings in by Miguel Ases which has oxidized silver as well as gold and black stones. I'm loving Joan and David's Flipp Platform pumps which add a bit of hollywood glamour to this or any other look! It's nice to see this mixed media and to rock it with this Alexander McQueen clutch - it's even more star studded. Fab ways to ensure that you're red carpet look is phenomenal from start to finish!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Let's Get It On

This post has definitely caused a stir in my house! Paul is a Jets fan and I'm a Colts fan. Yes I like various teams but just because I changed states doesn't mean that I change my favorite team. Growing up in Indiana, I had a lot of Colts shirts and now that I live in NY, you may see me out and about on a Sunday in my gear! It's fun to have a get together at home and why not add in elements of your own team through NFL fashion and lifestyle items. Although Paul will never wear a Colts shirt, I do like this one so if you have a guy who you need to gift, this about the one in this spread! I don't have a Colts sweatshirt, I do like this layered look which is perfect over a pair of yoga pants.

Don't feel that you have to stop with your shirts, think about having a cute martini set or even getting poochie in on the fun! Whether you're having a huge party, just watching among friends or are at home checking out your fantasy football team to see where you rank - you can always do it in style. I have to say that fantasy football has been something that I didn't know a lot about; however, when you do it in teams, you can have all the fun of seeing whether you won while your teammate has to do the work of all the switches and statistics. For the serious pros that want to get all their information to ensure that their teams do well, you may be interested in the NFL betting site that shares what the probability of your team winning is which could be helpful when you've challenged your friends at the water cooler.

Fashionable Fridays ~ I Heart You Festa!

Yes I may be an NYC girl, but originally (and if you checked my Tweet this morning @Cocoaebe) you would find that I am from Indiana. Born in a medium sized town and at the age of 8 moved to Indianapolis! Oh yes and then I went to college at Indiana University, decided that I would head east as my mom moved back to Jersey and here I am a NYC girl. That is some serious traveling and I have never had a cute Indiana shirt except for the ones that I wore for college!

Now I am all about graphic tees - look at my drawer and you know that when I am not in something else, I am in this and I am happier dressed like this. But Festa has taken my love for graphic tees to an entirely different level. They know how to make you look cute while you "rep" your area and they have such a variety that you will start to snag more than just where you're from. With Fashion Week coming and knowing I will attend every show known to man, I am going to need comfy clothes to relax in!

If I posted every shirt that reflects where I am, it would take all day but know that you have a new fan that will be doing quite a bit of shopping on this site. Definitely support this and look for your area! You know I love it when I have two Fashionable Fridays posts in one day!

Snazzy Sundays: Miami Swim 2008 ~ Head to the Beach With Syla by Sylvie

SylvaLast Fri the runways were full of bathing suits and fabulous swimwear! One of my favorite designers, Syla by Sylvie Cachay, hit the catwalk with a super cute Boho Chic look! My favorite look from this show is definitely this piece! I love the simple cream color but the accessories are absolutely amazing and definitely something that I would wear! It's hard to say which accessory is my favorite but clearly my eye was drawn to the belt which looks like it could be agate but I'm not sure. This piece would look cute with a slim fitting jersey or over a tank and a pair of jeans. I love this natural style and think that sometimes it's nice to go beyond wearing prints and to go with something simple and chic which looks amazing no matter where you opt to wear this. This piece and many more can be see on the Mercedes-Benz Swim Miami Fashion Week site as there were a lot of great looks for this show.

Mingling Mondays ~ A Great Way to Spend the 4th

Baja1Fourth of July was an interesting night! It rained a little but yet my boyfriend and I, saw fireworks in Red Hook at a great bar which made an amazing lemonade that had Triple Sec and Vodka - it went down nicely. We decided that it was time to check out some places that will be in our new area shortly and came upon Baja. Now, we had went past this restaurant before but ended up going to Sushi House (although we weren't pleased that they closed early on the Fourth of July even though people were still there and they were making fresh rolls). On this night, two revelers were looking for great food and found it here. This weekend's theme ended up being Mexican food as we had a lot of it but the chips and salsa hit the spot and I was quite a fan of the Enchiladas that had spinach and chicken! Although they were closing up soon, I could see why this is a favorite in Hoboken and that they also have another location in Jersey City.

Baja2
If you can't pop in for lunch, dinner or brunch, you'll love their daily Happy Hour specials (I had a Pear Margarita that was really tasty). If you visit during a weekend for lunch, this is a nice place to stroll too and to also visit other places to get a drink and then to head to the many shops that Hoboken has to offer. I would also suggest this for a dinner as the food  had a lot of of flavor and the staff was so pleasant to everyone that was there. Take some time to visit Baja to see for yourself if you find yourself in the neighborhood.

Mingling Mondays ~ Gorgeous Weekends Ahead

Yes today is Mon and I am all about Mingling but I wanted to share with you something that will be changing in terms of "Sippin' Saturdays", which has been all about drinks, Snazzy Sundays which tends to focus on home decor and Mingling Mondays. Although from time to time this summer, these days will cover the topics mentioned previously, I will also take these topics to another level by taking in the best of what we can do on our long weekends! In these posts, you'll find great ideas and fun places to go to that are in the area or in our own backyard. I am so exited to share with you and if you have a restaurant, city, boutique, etc - share with me and I will come out to check it out! Consider this segment to be something like the travel channel of sorts and I will be your guide on fun items. In addition, due to the continued condo hunt that my boyfriend and I are on, I will also bring you yummie places to eat in the Hoboken, Jersey City and Williamsburg area as well.

Back to Mingling Mondays, I had the luxury of enjoying my first half day Friday of the season by heading to Bryant Park and watching other people enjoy the day as well. I am really getting into using my Flip and can't wait to start using it for my ultimate projects which will be revealed within the next few days and of course available on my You Tube channel! Until then, enjoy watching footage of people hanging out in the park and can I say that I loved being able to chat with everyone on Twitter as well. If you have an account check me out there and of course you can always catch me on Facebook as well!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Love a Gorgeous Day

I woke up this morning and after all the stress that has been going on last week, I actually woke up and felt relief! So I have a Flip and have had it since the holidays and have never really used it. Now I am all about using it and decided I would wake up and take this amazing view of the city from the Jersey City side in Newport Pavonia. What a great way to start the day! With the amazing weather, we spent it visiting condos (yeah) and then getting acquainted with the neighborhood and finding tasty places to eat! Who doesn't love a long weekend and one that happens to fall on the Memorial Weekend? Enjoy my shaky footage and happy Sunday everyone!

Wearable Wednesday ~ Rock American Apparel

Aa1One of my favorite places to buy from is American Apparel! I love the idea that many of their pieces allow you to wear items in a few ways so that you can have your own look! That being said, every now and then, I like to visit their site to what is coming out soon. Take a look at this High Waisted Jersey Skirt. I love that this is so cute with the shirt that they paired with it, tanks and so much more. This is definitely cute for work or to attend an event!

Aa2Now here is this High Waisted Jersey Skirt worn as a halter dress with a cute short skirt portion on the bottom! This is so something that I would wear during Fourth of July, the Hamptons and so many more places. Put on your Grecian flip flops and you're set for shopping, brunch and so many more events in the city. How can you not love when one piece can have at least two options and you can only imagine how many colors this will come in as well! Take a look at this site and see what else you'll pick up online or in a store near you.
