Happy March guys! We've endured the crazy weather and now we just have to pull through this month with it's up and down weather and we'll have made it through the winter! This is the time of year that you begin to realize (why it happens now I don't know) that you have accumulated a lot of stuff that needs to be reorganized! What do you do and how do you do it? I definitely would love to get some tips as we all have our own way of course it always starts off at The Container Store for me.
I remember growing up having Tupperware at home. I believe my mom bought them from someone at work but they were perfect to use at home, to take to parties and so much more. Now that I am moving in with my boyfriend and we are hosting various parties, it made me think of Tupperware when it came time to thinking about keeping our foods fresh. They have so many options when it comes to storage, using it in the microwave, transporting it to and from locations and so much more. Take some time to check out all of the great items that are available and make sure you begin thinking about what you need for the holiday season.
Just the other day (actually the day I went to visit Beam Laser Spa on the UWS), I realized that West Elm was coming into that neighborhood. Typically when I go there I have always gone to the one in Chelsea. Once I saw the announcement regarding the opening, I realized that it had been awhile since I had seen their post. So today, I have a nice gallery of West Elm who has always had a natural vibe. Enjoy these images and think of how you will add a little natural love into your home whether it's in the bedroom, living room or much more.
Whether you are new to the kitchen or you find that that is practically your home, you can always spice it up when you're there. Once you either renovate your space or you head out to Crate and Barrel, Williams- Sonoma and more, the only place to turn to is yourself! Of course you will see yourself perfectly well at Carolyn's Kitchen! I love the fact that there is a lot of vintage, femme glam throughout the aprons. Just like we all have different styles of dress, Carolyn's Kitchen has halter aprons, a bandeau/skirt style and more. In addition, when it comes to cooking, I hate to think about the cleanup but this task even gets a bit of spice thrown in with super cute gloves lined with leopard print. I love that your style can show through with these items. What I love most is the fact that you can have various aprons that are Halloween, Christmas specific and more. Finally, the striped version of the halter dresses have a matching garter with it which definitely makes it have a sexy look to it as well. Check out the fun and flirty aprons that take cooking and cleaning to another level.
Oh the summer ends, fall is on the way and everyone gets into this massive baking/cooking kick. Somehow we think about having people come over so that everyone can enjoy great friends, food and drinks. Or many people think about baking/cooking in terms of possible gifts. Either way, it is always nice to freshen up what you have and to think about what is essential. Anthropologie is one of my favorite places when you think about items for the home and of course when the holidays come up, you know that you can count on them have to cute items that are perfect for presentations when they're on your table or to create great conversation when people watch you cooking with them. If you're all about color and a sense of the eclectic, this is perfect. Take some time to check out some of my favorites that will boost your kitchen, dining areas and of course - you.
The holiday season can be very scary when you think about everything that you have to do and to give out. Sometimes you wonder who the recipient of this gift should be for and how do you get extras in case someone drops by. I'm sure for those that are cooks and bakers, the idea of making something comes natural; however, many of us that look at our kitchens like a myth that emerged into reality. Because of this, we need to definitely place this on our list as a trend to adopt. We have quite a few weeks left so take some time to get cute jars, ribbon, etc to come up with a recipe for cookies that can be layered into the jars. How about coming up with trailmix, a special tea blend or hot cocoa mix? People will love to see that you took the effort to make something tasty while also leaving the container as well. Visit Martha Stewart for recipes and ideas as well.
