Wearable Wednesdays ~ The September Issue

We all know that the September issue is the most important one of the entire year. Even with ad sales being down by about a third, it's still very much so anticipated. This year, we have all been able to see a lot more of Ms Anna Wintour and this fall, there is a movie that goes behind the scenes and to the Editor in Chief herself to learn more about her and her vision for Vogue. Kitten Lounge Loves Lucky Shops

There are certain times during the year that I absolutely love to be in the midst of shopping mania! One of them is when Lucky Magazine holds its Lucky Shops event! I love going and checking out a variety of items that are greatly reduced while enjoying some cocktails. Each fall that I have attended, the deals have been better and I have walked away with some great finds and awesome goodies to go with it (I am still giddy about my Tory Burch bag and the most amazing CK seamless panties - TMI I know but I love them so it's ok). This year, Lucky Shops will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion on November 7th and 8th. This year the denim bar is back thanks to Lycra and of course Singer will be there for complimentary hemming. Lucky's "The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Look" will be available for purchase and I love that Benefit will have a Brow Bar. With so many giveaways available and more, you'll want to get your tickets to be apart of this. In addition, the lovelies at Lucky Shops want to give you a little love so we have a giveaway for the coveted goodie bag! Lipstick Jungle Airs Tonight

Today was amazing as I purchased Sex and the City on DVD (woohoo and yes I saw it in the theater) and today I get to follow it up with something as equally enjoyable! I love when the fall season starts and you get to see a lot of new shows and of course you get to have your old favorites back. NBC's Lipstick Jungle kicks off its second season at 10pm EST! I am very excited as I am a huge fan of Lindsey Price and think that she is the cutest. In addition to watching Lindsey, I love the portions that include Bonfire Magazine whose cover girl is none other than Hazuki who is one of Janice Dickinson's models. In this clip, you learn about Hazuki and what modeling means to her, her personal style and how it is to be at the agency. I can't wait for season 2 to start and if you're fan, let me know!

Tomorrow is National Bring Your Salad to Work Day

I can't tell you how many salads I go through in a general week but any chance I get to add some goodness to leafy greens is much appreciated! Working Mother Magazine and Kraft Dressing teamed up to promote good health by making July 30th, National Bring Your Salad to Work Day in an effort to encourage women to do something good for their bodies and to get some much needed energy. Interestingly enough, the 2007 Best Working Mother Companies were given the opportunity to win a salad maekover. The winner would receive a visit from the Working Mothers Sampling Squad and they would give out Kraft Salad Dressing On the Go Packs. Tomorrow, Liz Claiborne will receive this makeover.

So set a time for tomorrow and see who can make the yummiest salad with the freshest ingredients tomorrow. Not only should this be done tomorrow but having a group salad day once a week is great and doing it with others will definitely be an encouragment. If you work from home or freelance, you can still get in on the fun whether you meet up with other freelancers or you decide to eat it in the park.
