It's been a long week but I was so pumped to be whisked off to the Waldorf Astoria to attend the cocktail reception and the luncheon for the Cosmetic Executive Women Insiders' Beauty Awards. This year, over 650 products were entered through over 300 beauty brands! From all of this, there were 186 finalists in 30 categories. The result is that a winner in each category is selected and on this day, over 1,000 people were able to watch the awards ceremony that was hosted by Michael Cantone (from Sex in the City). I'm so happy that one of this year's CEW sponsors, Crest, invited me to attend! As a Crest 3D White ambassador it meant a lot and it was so much fun to meet a number of people within the brand as well as other brands! Snazzy Sundays: Awards Season 2013 ~ SAG Awards Elisabeth Moss
With the red carpet wrapping and the SAG Awards on their way to honoring actors by actors, I had to share a fab look from one of the attendees hitting the red carpet! You too can get this fabulous look as well since we're sharing how AMC's Mad Men (which is airing its 6th season, 2 hour premier on April 7th) Elisabeth Moss obtained the look. She wore a stunning Dolce & Gabbana and accessorized it with $1M earrings from Forever Mark and Jimmy Choo heels and clutch.
mark Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg worked with Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss for the SAG Awards. Jamie and Elisabeth wanted to keep the look down to earth with a chic French street touch.
Face:
Started with mark’s Min-A-Real Cream to Powder Foundation and layered on mark’s Touch and Glow in Warm Glow on the cheeks with a swipe of mark’s Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky. Set the look with mark’s Set Things Right Loose Powder.
Eyes:
Started with mark’s Please Hold Eye Primer as a base. Used i-mark in Luv Struck in the crease then blended in the black shade in mark’s Drama Case Eye Shadow and Liner Palette on the lash line.
She added i-mark Metallic in Lava on the lid and finished the lash line with mark’s What A Line Felt Tip Eyeliner in Twilight. Applied false eyelashes and two coats of mark’s Scandalash Mascara in Blacklash and filled in the lower lash line with mark’s No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet set. Finished the eyes with one coat of Scandalash Mascara in Blacklash on the lower lashes.

Trendy Thursdays: 2012 Year in Review ~ Kelly Rowland
We continue with looking at the Year in Review for 2012 and we had to share celebs that we enjoy highlighting. Over the past few months, Team Kitten Lounge has been obsessed with the flawless and effortless look that is Kelly Rowland. Although she caught our eye a decade ago as one of the members of Destiny's Child, we all love that she has not only come into her own when it comes to her music but also her style! With NYE being days away, you can take a nod from her look by having the fabulous diva glam look while also having dynamic makeup that showcases an emphasis on your eyes which are the windows to our souls!
At Glamour's Women of the Year Awards in London this summer (first row upper left hand corner), we loved seeing her sleek hairstyle, a silky black halter gown with a train by British designer, Maria Grachvogel. She simply paired this with silver hoops by Garrard with a fabulous nude lip and kohl rimmed eyes! In addition to rocking the red carpet, she received the TV Personality of The Year Award, for her time on ‘The X Factor’ as a panel member of the London version of the show.
At the American Music Awards, she stunned again on the red carpet in a geometric dress straight from the spring NYFW runway show of Naeem Khan! Once again we love her nude lips and kohl eyeliner - it's a great look and we love the simplistic and carefree look of her hair as well.
With her busy year, Kelly hit Las Vegas and signed her cover which features her on VEGAS Magazine's 9th Anniversary at Boulevard Pool at Cosmopolitan where she's stunning on paper as well as in person with her bodycon dress. Kelly also took a moment to host Grey Goose's launch of their Cherry Noir vodka in this stunning red dress as a number of celebrities and invited guests toasted this event.
As you head out to get together your key look for ending and ringing in the new year Monday night. keeping in mind the importance of a chic look that's comfortable to wear for a few hours where your key facial features are being positively highlighted are an absolute must for a great night!

Treasure Tuesdays: Events ~ Style Tweetup Fall Holiday Style
Monday night, a fab group of came together as I hosted yet another Style Tweetup with the theme of Fall Holiday Style. Huge thanks to our generous host, Cocktail Bodega whose team was super sweet to have us there to enjoy our event and to sample their food as well! Cocktail Bodega is on the LES and is from the fab team who created the uber popular Sons of Essex! If you're in NYC, you know your Bodega is essential to your day to day! It's where you pick up your necessities, grab a bite a drink and more. Cocktail Bodega takes the fruit smoothies and juices that we love and adds alcohol to them with a fabulous menu from Bravo's Chef Roble - my Cuban Quesadilla sandwich was phenomenal. Perfect bites to enjoy while hanging out with friends on a fall day! With a number of large screen TV's (we loved having the football game on), I can imagine that during the Super Bowl or any game day must be a lot of fun. In addition, they have a club downstairs as well!
As the host of Style Tweetup, I invited a group of friends including Casey Kettleson from Styled On, Samantha Lim and McArthur Joseph of Fashion Indie, Shoshi from Lifestyle Provocateur, Kitty Bradshaw of THE Kitty Bradshaw and my sister Dorian of Big Apple Style. With our theme, I wanted to share goodies that were essential to enjoying the festive holidays starting with Thanksgiving. We will continue to update this post to add in the posts of attendees. I want to thank the following brands that participated and definitely excited those that attended!
I was so pleased to introduce LVX, a nail polish line that is vegan, 5 Free and is not tested on animals! What I love even more about this line that was included in LA Fashion Week recently, is that their nail colors are not only on trend but you can trace them back to hues that rocked runways! I wore Prussian which you can see above which is a fabulous hue (huge thanks to Kitty for snapping a pic of one of the nail polishes she received which is a great neutral tone). Because I'm always out and about or taping segments, makeup is an essential to my routine. Whether it's applying it or keeping my face clean, I loved gifting Swisspers to everyone! We enjoyed the round exfoliates, the square ones which can also work well when removing polish and of course the sponges which are perfect for applying foundation! These are such an essential and you can never have too many. In addition, I loved including Jane Iredale Smooth Affair which is a primer and a brightener which will give you the perfect glow!
When traveling or when at home, candles are an essential! Black Forest soy candles were provided which has a rich scent and is one that is perfect for crisp nights by Archipelago and finally, we were also gifted by Jopen a luxury personal massager line which is made for women with products for men as well. Fashionable Fridays ~ Tote It
It's been a crazy few weeks and now we can start thinking about all of the holiday traveling that we will get ready to do as we end the year! Sometimes when I travel casually, having a simple duffel from Herschel is perfect to bring all of your items with you as you head home to friends and family. Make sure that all of your makeup and skincare come with you via this Anya Hindmarch which is very roomy! One of my favorite skincare items to have with me which also works when applying my makeup is Beauty Blender. This sponge makes sure that your foundation is evenly applied so you don't have hard edges. You may be used to this in the pink color; however, they created Pure, which is a white sponge that is for sensitive skin. Instead of the cleansing fluid for the pink sponge, there is Solid that cleanses it with a fabulous lavender scent. Finally, it can be stored within this container which allows it to air dry and is super travel friendly.
For those rocking contacts, Brahmin has a contact case which is a great way to transport them in amazing hues. My jewelry comes with me and as many rolls as I need to bring them is never an issue - loving these by Neiman Marcus. Finally, it's all about keeping your lingerie safe as they shouldn't mingle with everything else in your bag. Natori (which makes a fragrance that is included in this set as well as a series of lotions) is a great way to transport them!

I'm always being asked what I love in terms of beauty items. This includes a number of items that I use a lot versus those that are new to me but are definitely in my routine! I have been a fan and am obsessed with Koh Gen Do which in addition to having a fab beauty line, they have a number of skincare items that are a must. I have enjoyed using their Body and Bath Body Milk as well as their Body Wash which is like having a spa treatment to start and end your day. When it comes to the face, I love L'Occitane exfoliating gel. For a quick rinse (especially in this heat) I suggest Shobha's rosewater cleansing cloths which I love whether I'm getting my brows threaded at their salon or as a refresher. When it comes to my lips, when I am keeping it simple - Evolution of Smooth is the perfect solution and super addictive. Finally, I love a good dark nail color and when I'm not rocking hues by Butter London, you can find me in Essie this hue is Wicked.

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to do one of the many fun and engaging duties that are apart of my Brand Ambassadorship for the Avon brand! I hosted a dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the city, Ilili, which is known for their amazing Moroccan/Mediteranean style of food as well as fabulous drinks! Fashionable Fridays ~ Behind the Scenes With Theia
I love what I do! It allows me to go behind the scenes months in advance to see lines, their inspirations and more. With Fashion Week being less than a week away, readers always want to get as many sneak peeks as possible on collections. On the day of shows, I get to go to many of the shows prior to them hitting the runway. This allows me to let you know what to expect in terms of hair, makeup and what accessories they will rock on the runway. Theia Couture is one of my favorite designers as I have worn them at events and enjoy seeing this line on the runway! Creative Director, Don O’Neill, has a phenomenal vision that comes to life at every presentation. This year, they will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion as apart of Style 360. What a great space to see these pieces showcased. A show is about putting the best elements from the collection out as well as inspirations.
One of the things about the line that always gets me excited is that inspiration comes from Greek goddesses. For this Fall 2012 collection is Athena who is a deity that is known as a powerful woman who was full of wisdom, the instinct to protect and courage. "In 2012 as we face challenging times, I want to imbue the THEIA woman with this sense of power and confidence that will help her stride forward, feeling brave, beautiful, and strong," said the Creative Director. Above you can see models waiting to be seen during the model call for this show where they select the women who will rock the runway and will ensure that the designated looks make sense for them. In addition, you can see some of the mood boards which lets you know the direction that the brand will design in and includes fabrics.
On the day of the show, you can see the runway show and get a front row seat! As an Accessories Expert, I'm beyond excited that shoes will be provided via Q by Pasquale, jewelry from Ben Amun, gloves from Fratelli Orsini and nails by Dashing Divas.

It's official, today is Thanksgiving and whether you're watching the parade, football, endless marathons etc you're doing what you want to do with friends and family. It's about relaxing and nibbling all day long. With that said, keep it simple and fresh! If you have yet to check out the lookbook for my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 collection, it came out earlier this week. With a number of fun shoes from my collection, it also looks at my faves. One area that didn't get highlighted was the makeup look that was created. I use a number of amazing products everyday and a photoshoot is a nice way to put everything you love using, would love to use and have ever thought about together. First off, I started using (in my shade of course), Dior's Nude Creme Gel Pack. I have been a MAC Studio Fix N9 girl since my college days so using this was definitely different; however, I was introduced to this foundation when I hosted the Pretty Party with Dior, Lucky Magazine and Bloomingdale's back in the summer. I love how light it feels on your face and how there is a bit of moisture in there as well.
I never go outside without using Laura Geller's Blush N Brighten and since I was the makeup artist for myself on this shoot, I had to pop it in there. Laura Mercier is new to my collection. Recently they sent me portions of their holiday line which will be included within our Holiday Gift Guide which will be available next month but I had to use the eyeliner for the shoot as I love that it had an extra pop of glimmer and once again, I have been a long time user of Urban Decay 24/7 so I was excited and thrilled with the results of this liner! Continuing on the eyes, I used Rimmel in charcoal as I love using this shade on my eyes and it never disappoints. Finishing off with Dior Show for Mascara ensures that my lashes are extra long and I loved using my new Avon Extra Long Lasting Lip Gloss in a fab berry/pinkish shade! I just finished shooting something fun with them and will let you know much more about it when I can! Together it created the look that you can see in the lookbook which is perfect from day to night.
Trendy Thursdays ~ Post Beauty After the Shoot
Thanks for all the positive vibes guys for those that were wishing me well on my first major magazine shoot! It was so much fun to have my publicist and sister there in attendance, to introduce her to the phenomenal magazine that I am so excited to partner up with over the next year (you'll all find out in two weeks), to meet the brand that had pieces are completely swoon worthy as well as to work with a phenomenal makeup and photography team! It was so much fun and I loved getting up early to spend the morning and early afternoon there! I'll be back there next week to do an amazing video with them and then we wait to see what results when it arrives in the October Issue!
I love whether I'm on a shoot or doing something for HSN as I like seeing what the makeup artists use. It's fun to try something new and to get introduced to new brands that I would have never thought about using. But with all the touchups, lights and layers that I end up wearing I'm always happy to get home and do a major spa session! I talk about these products all the time but it's worth sharing again. When you have those moments that you had to be glammed up for an event, did a shoot, segment or even have been traveling all day these are the most necessary to use! I believe in spaing at home as well as at some of my favorite places! I have been using Clarisonic Mia for over a year but having Clarisonic Plus at my disposal is phenomenal. I love that one head can work for my face, and the other works for my body. With all the bronzer on my arms and chest it's nice to know that it's super clean as well as being taken off in a non abrasive way. I have used the gels that it comes with but you can also use your own faves which is great (you can also use exfoliating gels too). When it comes to my face - I do not travel without Lush's Ocean Salt which smells great and makes your face feel like it has never felt better! Of course I also use Ponds Wipes (thanks Carmindy) to start with taking off the main items on your face. Bliss Triple Oxygen is an amazing mask to use that also feels refreshing and of course, you can seal everything with Dior's Capture Totale Intensive Night Restorative which makes your skin feel like it did when you were a baby!

I'm not one for one piece bikinis usually; however, Norma Kamali was influenced by Parisian style of the 30's and made the Bill swimsuit in 1976! This bikini has been apart of her collections and was worn by Cynthia Nixon's character, Miranda, on Sex and the City - the movie, has been included in a number of shoots over the past decades and is one of those items that are a must to have in the closet! What I love the most about this look is the ruching and although it is Parisian inspired, I also get a bit of that old Hollywood feel about it as well! With a classic look, whether you're wearing this to the beach or a private pool party, you don't need much to make this look phenomenal. So I wanted to share items that come along with me when I'm out! As it gets hotter, I never travel without my Evian as it's the perfect spritzer to the face and good to use when you're setting your makeup! It's always about the eyes so rock Mark's Liquid Waterproof Eyeliner as your eyes should always pop. Finish it off with a SPF nourishing lipgloss from Rimmel London!
Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Pack It Up!
Whether you do a lot of travel or you are simply grabbing items as you head out the door, I have some phenom essentials. The day before any trip is hectic for me, tomorrow I'm jetting off to "the beautiful Dominican Republic" which is said by every stewardess as we are moments from landing. Although I hear the weather has been rainy in Santo Domingo, I'm hoping that Sun is gorge since it's the only day I won't be working as the factory is closed. Then Mon - Wed, I will be designing my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Fall 12 collection (my third collection with them). I was just there in May designing my Spring 12! As you know, I travel each month whether it's heading to do another segment on HSN, a press trip, designing shoes and meeting with my brands so I have my system down to a science! With that said, I will pack my bags today but I always have last minute packing that goes into my large purse.
Earlier this week, I attended the holiday show and fell in love with Lug Life is all about keeping you organized for the day, overnight, in fitness, for moms and when traveling. They have a phenom Clipper Flat Iron Case which allows you to curl your hair and slip it in one of many color cases so that it can cool and that it can leave with you without you worrying about waiting for it to cool down. You only have precious minutes before your car service gets a little testy that you're delayed! Of course I have many cosmetic bags and many do go in my luggage as typically, I carry it on the plane but I always have the items that I use that morning in my bag. I'm loving Bottega Veneta's cosmetic case which is luxe and so essential as I do my perfected eye and head out the door. I carry Rebecca Minkoff with my everyday whether it's her fab key python studded case (love), her matching iPad cover (LOVE) and when I travel I always have her MAC bag in my luggage! But I also love her Lunch Money Pouch which is cute but I put a few extra dollars in here to give out tips as I'm going in and out of airports, hotels and when I am buying my guilty pleasures (Life & Style, Us Weekly etc). Finally, as an Accessories Expert, you know it's always about my bags and everything goes into something luscious. My bag of the moment, it's got to be about MJ! I wear his oversized sunglasses in a number of hues and I have always been about Marc Jacobs bags as well - this is a bit bling with the accessory on the bag, the textured patent leather and the fact that all this and more can be stored in here as I make my way to the car to head to Terminal 5!

With all of that intel, we had to take a moment to chit chat with Alex Samuels, Beauty Editor of Self Magazine and to find out about what she's into and what guilty pleasures we should know about!
We all have that meal that gets us and leaves us salivating for it even if we can't get our hands on it! For Alex, she loves Pala Gluten Free Pizza whether it's the etna pie or the arrabbiata depending on her mood (always good to have a back up morsel)! Seriously. she has dreams about it! Of course as I always say what you love to eat vies for first or second place with what keeps you connected! It's no surprise that Alex's iPhone is key! Now when I want to know how to get around the city, you'll find me using a combo of Google Maps or HopStop but Alex just took navigation to another level! Since she lives in Brooklyn, she's always on the subway and ExitStrategy lets her know where she needs to be on the subway in order to be close to her desired exit! Not only is this super efficient and convenient but there's no trial in error - ie continuing to take the same line to figure out the best way to stand! Beauty and brains is always a good thing in my book!

Stacey Gersten put these on her and she has been receiving compliments daily since then - it's such a cute trend and perfect for summer! If you're like me, you're already planning your bikini outfits but you should also think about your skin and suncare as well! Mingling Mondays ~ Lea Michele Rocks 2011 Golden Globes
Last night award season continued with NBC's Golden Globe Awards of 2011. As always there were dressed that made an impact, those that were underwhelming and fortunately many that enhanced the overall look with fabulous accessories, hair and makeup! This year, Kitten Lounge's favorite was pretty in pink! We're loving Lea Michele's Oscar de la Renta gown (she knows what works best as she has embraced this designer before) that is fun, flirty and has a pop of edge to it. This gown graced the red carpet with all the elements that made this Glee cast member look phenomenal. In addition, we're loving her ring which was the perfect way to tie the entire look together.
We will be following celebrity stylist, Mark Townsend, this award season as he shares with us how he created the star's look using Dove Hair Care products We're loving that he went with a modern chignon that had a soft and subtle look to it so that she maintained her youthful look and yet played off the ruffles of this gown. Later this week, we will share how he created this look and the products that were used for the nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical for her breakout role.

Can you believe that we are towards the end of the holiday season? We're just a few days away from the ball dropping and firmly closing the door on 2010 with nothing but hope and a clean slate in front of us for 2011. With that said, we know that beauty is a synergy of what your wearing with your dress and beauty products combined. Right now, I am obsessing over this style of dress as it's Studio 54 and Grecian love all in one! With such a sparkly combo, you have to rock amazing product from smoky eyes, a hint of color for the lips and finally, glistening skin that is not only moisturized but has a glow that will make you look phenomenal! This is perfect for holiday parties, corporate parties and of course the big night that is the most important of the entire year! You can also keep these ideas in mind when it comes time for other special occasions in your life!
Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Sunday Tea Party

Fashionable Fridays ~ Kim Kardashian & Fusion Beauty
Last night, I headed to Villa Pascari (in the MPD and such a cute little spot although we were upstairs in the private event space) with Beauty Sweet Spot's, Jeannine Morris and She Knows Editor, Aly Walansky for a night of nibbles, prosecco and of course Kim Kardashion with Fusion Beauty Colorceuticals. The first video talks about the brand Fusion Beauty with their brand representative. It looks into how they started and where they are today. The second video shares Kim's take on style, fashion and about her going to beauty school when she was 14 years old. It was an amazing event and Kim is every bit of what you would expect from seeing her on her shows and super tiny. I felt that I towered a bit above her in my heels when we took pictures (which will be added to this post in a bit). Take some time to check out the video and next week we will post about the amazing items that I received from this event! Also, I am still getting the hang of the Sony Bloggie so sorry that the first video is slightly off but the second one is better!
Trendy Thursdays ~ Koh Gen Do Wakes Me Up Each Morning
Koh Gen Do is a brand that I'm super excited to wake up to each morning. Yes it's a makeup line but it is a phenomenal skincare line that keeps my face dewy! I've been talking about them for a couple of years but with so much activity (Fashion Week, Coterie, etc) it seems that I have to say that this line keeps my face looking amazing! Yes I can chalk it up to good genes but I'm out a lot! In fact I do a lot of events, don't sleep as much as I should etc so it's nice to have a line that has so many natural elements in it that make me look like I just left the most amazing spa! In fact, I only go to spas for massages and body treatments. Anything that I do for my face involves treatments at home! Thanks to Barneys, I love that you too can enjoy the amazing treatments.
I'm obsessed with their soap as I can place it in the mesh and after rubbing it you get a nice foam which is perfect to use on your face (of course I highly suggest the Spa Water with the Organic Cotton Pads they're amazing and super easy to use). After drying off, I love using their Essence lotion and or their Emollient Cream. It leaves your face looking clean, fresh and of course looking as if you're ready for your photoshoot. If you're here in NYC, you should definitely check the line out in Barneys or on their website of course! I also love that when I was at the Carmen Marc Valvo show during NY Fashion Week hanging out backstage watching Ted Gibson's team do what they do best - I love that I happened to bump into Diane, the founder of this fab beauty line! It was great to chat with her and to hang out which is why I love Fashion Week as you never know who you're going to run into!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Style Experts: Mom's Beauty Advice
If you're on Twitter you know that Friday means #FF. It's the time when people let you know who they follow so that you can follow them. I love it and I like that people include me in their lists whether they're focusing on Style, Women in Digital, etc. In that vein, each Fri I will have a roundup of Style Experts that you should check out their site and they will have their Twitter handle as well (@cocoabebe). With Mother's Day being this Sunday and with Real Beauty having an amazing post about "Beauty Advice From Our Mom's", I had to find out from my circle of experts what their Mom's taught them that they still use today! We know that Mom's never stop commenting but there are times that they share something that actually works. For me, my mom always talked about the importance of good skincare and moisturizing my skin. She taught me the way to wash my face so I wouldn't have wrinkles and she introduced me to Palmer's Cocoa Butter which I always have the largest container possible.
