We have so many shows that we love to watch and Lipstick Jungle is one of them. So since it starts later on today, enjoy some behind the scenes footage of the models that are not only Janice Dickinson models but they are also found within the pages of Bonfire Magazine! Last week I was in the thick of things at New York Fashion Week and I ended it on my birthday! As exciting as this was, I can only be giddy about my next location to cover Fashion Week. This year, the Bahamas will have the Islands of the World Fashion Week taking place Nov 5th - Nov 8th! It is definitely going to be a lot of fun in presenting designers from various islands all over the world! These designers come from Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas, Madagascar, Fiji, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, Haiti and British Virgin Islands. All the action will take place in The Bahamas at the British Colonial Hilton and Atlantis.

In addition, the entire team will make its way down with our Food Editor, Paul covering local foods and restaurants and our Development Editor, Arlene, covering hotels and real estate developments. Arlene is a new member added to the team who I am excited to have as apart of Kitten Lounge. With my love for HGTV's House Hunters (International and Domestic), when we have the opportunity to leave the city, she will look at the market from a tourism and a relocating stand point! This is a great time to enjoy beautiful weather and amazing hospitality. We'll give updates as we get closer and of course, I can't wait to give all the details as well.

I love that we live in an age where many rules of fashion are meant to be broken and what we took to be truths at the time, are being reinvented. Yes, it is true that in fashion we are all learning new tricks and many of us that may have always been able to wear something are just coming into the realization that we can wear a number of styles, colors and much more.

The other day as I was on Facebook, I happened to learn about a Petite Fashionista  Show that will take place in Canada. Christa Jean is a Petite Stylist and has put together this show with tickets still available It's aim is to showcase the beauty of models that are 5'4" and under. In addition to being intrigued by this event, I came across one of the sponsors - 5ft2in. This fabulous company makes pants for women within this height range! In addition as I talked to the designer, Sunny, she was so excited to show me her most popular pant style! This capri pant is not only popular but she definitely wanted to let me know that it is a complete and total myth that petite women are unable to wear this length of pant. I think that those who strive to focus their efforts on certain demographics of women that may have a harder time in shopping are absolutely amazing and should be commended without a doubt! I am always a fan of attainable fashion and love presenting those that make that dream a reality for women everyday!

I love the backdrop of Australian Fashion Week! I think that it would be fun to see a show with the city in the background! How great would it be to be able to catch a show walking across a promenade even if you weren't really invited. I love that Jayson Brunsdon has created an elegant and fun line that is very simple but with pop elements of color and or interesting cuts. I love the tunic like look of this outfit which presents a  30's glam/mod look. I also love the orange hues and the abstract design as well. But this piece isn't completely overwhelming since the design is only shown in concentrated areas. This is a great piece to wear to a gala or an opening of great art at a friend's gallery. This definitely makes you look like a goddess wherever you decide to wear it! As many of you may know, I spent my Saturday morning at the Lacoste Fashion Week Show. I have to say that I LOVED the show for many reasons. I loved the end of the show which was like a breathing ad with everyone doing their best ski bunny pose. It was definitely a dramatic way to close the show! In addition to the end of the show was the Jamaican inspired portion of the show with amazing music to match. As a whole the show was a lot of fun and since I watched the show with various members of Lacoste/Samsonite, I enjoyed tuning into the fun bags that this runway. For those of you that may not have been at the show, I loved the collegiate style wool bags that were given out - yes there will be a pic of this soon! Whether you get this in grey or in the maroon color, this is definitely something that will be super cute in the fall to sport around the city or wherever you happen to be.

I love it and it's a fab way to enjoy the show. So far, every season of the show has had a friend of mine who is a model - this season, my friend from my A&F days, Amanda is on this show and I am so looking for her to make it to the end. I am at heart, a reality junkie and feel that this blog is one of the best written in terms of this show!
