Today has been a hectic day but in the evenings I'm starting to go to dinners, birthday parties, holiday events and more. So even though the day is spent with me just keeping up with everything, I like the ability to go out to look like a million bucks. My outfits are always simple and of course, I love to pile on the accessories! Today, we're focuing on Free People's one shoulder dress which you can wear as a dress or with leggings if you're so inclined. Nothing is better (at least for me) than to have a solid color and then to pop in one of my favorite skins - python to add a little texture and to make the whole look pop! Whether you have a pair of python slingbacks or this super cute clutch that also serves as a bracelet, you're all set. Yes the Noreaster has hit the east coast. How chilly was it yesterday. I have to get a lot of motivation going just to leave my house when it comes to going out for fun! One of the things that I hate about the winter is that I don't want to feel like I have to sacrifice my style for warmth! This winter I'm thinking of cute sweaters (those who know me know that I am not a fan of this portion of my wardrobe as a rule) but I do love American Eagle's Thermal Collar Shirt. I think this is perfect for staying warm and you can showcase a cute necklace! Juicy Couture's necklace is full of drama and it can peek out from your shirt. I'm a fan of boots and I'm obsessed with these thigh high Stella McCartney boots! Now when you're running around you're all set whether your hanging out with friends at an apartment, meeting up for lunch or whatever happens to you when you end up leaving your own home! Finally, you have to have the perfect skinny jean and this pair from Arden B is an essential for the weekend when you're going for a relaxed look. I love hump days! It's the middle of the week and a great benchmark to see what has been worked on and what can still be done with a few days ahead! As Editor in Chief of Kitten Lounge, I get an amazing opportunity to see a lot of great products and to interact with so many great showrooms, brands, designers and so much more. While in Vegas in August, I was so happy to meet Casey of Hudson Jeans (she does their Social Media and various elements of marketing) and to walk with her at ENK Shows Vegas. With so many days hitting all the shows, I started to embrace my love for the maxi dress, Ted Rossi cuffs (I never travel without a number of them), large cocktail ring and of course a cute necklace. It's the act of styling a simple look to show my personality and to present an effortless look whether I'm walking the red carpet, tradeshows, showrooms or wherever I happen to be! I'm obsessed with accessories and I love large pieces. I brought a little of a boho-chic Grecian vibe to everyday that I was at the shows (you would too if it was 100 degrees). As I walked around people asked if I styled (especially when I told them I had just completed an episode of the reality show, To Be a Star, where I was the Style Mentor/Judge for aspiring models who were learning about the importance of having a look. Although I have worked with a select group of people, work with a few showrooms in the city and have been called in on a photoshoot - it wasn't something that I really thought I was doing. But the fact of the matter is that there is no better reward than showing someone how they can take elements of their style and add to it to create an enhanced look! Did anyone get caught in the random rain that caught us off guard yesterday (ok maybe it didn't take you off guard but the day started out so pretty)? This weather is all about layers or finding the right way to wear fall when it's not to chilly and yet not so warm anymore. I just purchased the grey version of this ruched sweater and I LOVE it. It has a nice look, the perfect neckline and can be dressed up. I too wore a cute scarf and paired it with one of my lariat necklaces; however, this piece from Virgins, Saints and Angels is the perfect compliment. I love how ornate it looks and the line has been one that I have followed over the past few years. A gorgeous necklace deserves to be paired with an awesome ring. I love that this wrapped ring definitely assists you in getting your point across (if you talk with your hands extensively, you'll enjoy this added look) and of course - pair this with jeans. I love my Hudson jeans that are in this dark wash with a faded look. Whether you pair this with heels or ballet flats it has such an easy look that you're always perfectly dressed!

Last night I watched the Emmy pre show on E! with some friends (@nikisnotes, @tasty_morsels, @mizcity and @anneobrien at the @rshotel) since we were watching Jeannine Morris (Editor in Chief at the Beauty Sweet Spot @beautysweetspot) make her debut on the red carpet talking about the beauty products that the celebs were wearing. After her segment, we settled in to watch the stars hit the carpet. Now we know that there are a lot of people who have something to do with what the stars wear; however, there must have been a memo on accessories! Not only was it decided to go minimal but poor necklaces got the short end of the stick. Yes, we're all aware that we should be more conscious about how we spend money or how we go about presenting ourselves as it seems uncouth to throw your money around; however, wearing gorgeous gowns that are strapless without a necklace is empty and made everyone look like they had forgotten something. The red carpets are times when people love to see what is being worn and they want to enjoy the fantasy - leaving out necklaces doesn't add to this and only confuses the entire situation. One of my favorite looks was Sandra Oh's (Grey's Anatomy) dress (although I wasn't a fan of the hot pink shoes but maybe she got the other memo that hot pink was the look last night) she looked amazing and I loved her clutch and her ring. But of course, she wasn't wearing a necklace. Here are two fabulous options that she could have gone with to make her dress pop (in many cases the pieces that the stars wear are on loan so this is more of a reason that necklaces shouldn't have been abandoned).

Max Azria Look Fashion Week Spring 2010

I love the awesome suit! Every now and then you want to wear something like what hit the runways of Max Azria yesterday; however, you have to make it hot! As Kelly Rowland and Mickey Rourke watched one design after another, I couldn't help but think about fab ways to dress up this look! I love the long layered necklace! If you opt to wear something without a shirt under it, wearing multiple chains will allow you to feel comfortable and stylish (no wardrobe malfunctions for you to worry about). I would also pair everything with a large cocktail ring with Onyx. What a c lassical look but if you happen to be in Sephora, you should check out Opi's Dark Room nail color. I love that this is actually green; however, it's so dark that it appears to be black! I love this affect and definitely think this is a must for all closets!

Growing up in the midwest, I couldn't wait to finally come to the beaches of the east coast to spend copius days hanging out on the beach. I practically lived there and as I began hitting the Jersey Shores, then moving on to the islands, I knew that I could never be too far from the ocean. There's something relaxing about it and as I grew up, it was less about me running and jumping into the water. It was about bringing various events to the beach from laying out, having parties, etc. I have to say that I have seriously increased my beach wardrobe and now that I live in Long Beach, I enjoy watching the style of of those who visit and residents (much like when I go to SoBe - I love seeing how people dress up at the beach and oh yes, I'm one of them). So today, I bring you a semi active and snazzy beach approach. I have more bathing suits then I can count and yet, I continue to increase my collection. Casa Bikini has amazing suits of various colors and styles and I think my birthday suit (no seriously my birthday is Sept 12th and I will be in a cabana in South Beach and I absolutely love this bathing suit) will have to come from here. I love these Brazilian bathing suits and speaking of Brazil, a handbag designer that is new to me Brazilian designer, Flavia Sarno has AMAZING handbags and I'm a fan of her clutches (can't wait to include it within future spreads). I think having a gorgeous tote and a cute clutch is an absolute necessity. During the day, you must enjoy these handmade, Mother of Pearl flip flops from Bohemian Babe - based out of Hong Kong. This is perfect for walking about on the beach! For night or throughout the day in the cabana, I have to say that Jimmy Choo's Penelope is a great look! I think a bit of that 70's glam is perfect with a bathing suit and elongates the leg! To complete this fab look, I love this hook necklace by Cynthia Rowley that is apart of her Fashion and Accessories collection for Resort 2010! I am starting to embrace a type of accessory that has been very foreign in my closet! Although I liked looking at pearls, I never thought it would be something that I would wear. This all changed when Moon River Pearls reached out to me! Who knew that pearls could transcend so many styles and provide so many looks? I love layering my pieces with chokers or other bangles. The pearls that are shown below are full of color and go from Little Black Dress to an extremely casual outfit with jeans and there is absolutely no granny factor here! I have never been one to envy for someone else's items but I will not lie when I say that I love when people look at something that I'm wearing and they wish that they could have worn my find! As you know, I'm accessories obsessed and when I see designers that are on the mark, I have to share! Kristen of Objets d'Envy makes fabulous Swarovski Crystal jewelry that are amazing to wear whether you're heading to work (you could work in an extremely corporate environment or one that is laid back), hanging out with friends or going out. The pieces lend themselves to being the focal point of your outfit and if you see a certain style that you like, you can get it in various colors so that you have quite the decision to make when you're about to step out. These pieces are meant to break the barrier of the common question "When/where would I wear this" - anywhere or everywhere.

I love the red Boucle necklace as it is a delicate design that has great depth due to the use of Swarovski Crystals. It reminds me of something that you could see Audrey Hepburn wearing if she was out and about today - which means it would be perfect as she was queen of taking great basics and making them eternally classic. In addition, I love the Galaxie. I am a huge fan of having one large rock or crystal. This is perfect for a tunic, cute wide belt, skinny jeans and slouchy boots! Simple and at the same time you can wear a sweater dress and look amazing as well. Every now and then I like to share what I am working on. Besides putting together content for my blogs and doing PR, I also like to share about info regarding my jewelry line, Kitten Couture. I have to say that wearing it during Fashion Week, I was actually able to get a few orders from people that I just completed. It's nice to know that these lariats made of natural stone and seashell pieces are creating excitement. This summer, I included one of my pieces - Aeryn within the goodie bag of Renee Zellweger's new movie 'My One and Only" out next spring. To know that such notables as Ms Z, Chris Noth, Kevin Bacon and more received these pieces is great! This season I created additional pieces to round out the fall collection and have a few more that will be out this season. In fact, I am currently putting together a fall/resort photoshoot and can't wait to share this with all of you (of course this means new pieces as well). Wearable Wednesday: Single Life Can Be Celebrated Too

Terrence Howard, Naomi Campbell and various members from the cast of High School Musical and Heros have something in common! They are all members of the Singelringen community. Many of us are familiar with those that have recently become engaged or married. It's easy to tell as we can look at the rings to see what phase of their life that they have shifted to but what about those that are single? Singelringen was created as an answer to what is going on with those that have yet to be married.

This ring has blue acrylic that wraps around the sterling silver ring and exposes a small portion of it in a crescent shape. Fashionable Fridays: Christian Dior Cruise 2009 Brings Out Our Inner Barbie

I love many of the images from Christian Dior's Cruise 2009 Collection. There are so many vibrant colors that pop, I love the infusion of the essence of the Southern Belle mixed with the island babe. My favorite outfit from the entire show is this dress. I love that it's fashionable confection! Obviously the colors are very complimentary to one another and I love the length. This is the perfect item to wear when you go to a friends cocktail party on their rooftop or in the Hamptons! At the same time, this reminds me of a dress that would have been a favorite for me to put on my Barbie! The sleek look with the ruffle is perfect and I love the necklace that was paired with this piece. This is definitely the effortless and comfortable look that you would want to wear when being out and about. It's not a bad idea to think about wearing a cute hat with this as well. While at Project in Vegas, I learned about an amazing design house, Sogoli. What caught my eye was the fact that although you see all of these pieces, it is the same chain. I love the Tudors (yes I am talking about the amazing show that will be back on Showtime this month). One of my fascinations with the show (beyond the main character) is the jewelry. The pieces are amazing and although they look perfect with the elaborate costumes on the set, I am convinced that they would be equally as amazing with many of my daily outfits. That being said, I love this piece by Jill Alberts. She has an amazing collection of jewelry that I have recently become introduced to and of course, I couldn't be stingy - I had to share.
