This time last week I was super excited to head to the Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala which housed a number of amazing nibbles, performances and beverages within four floors of the New York Public Library at Bryant Park this past Fri at 9pm. Many of you saw me tweeting from that night which was very dream like.Officially I was invited by Campari who was celebrating the year of the Negroni and of course, was making that classic beverage throughout the night on the first floor. To see all of the pictures regarding Campari at the gala as well as events that took place over the next few days including seminars and tastings you'll find images here! Make sure to see some of the images including Padma Lakshmi within one of the seminars rocking a gorgeous red dress! Due to it being the year of the Negroni, what better way to truly enhance this drink as making it apart of your overall look for a chic night out? Whether you're a guy or a girl, you can always use a pop of rosy red amber to set you apart from the crowd! It's definitely a drink of sophistication and distinction for all of your looks and is perfect for library inspired bars as well as rooftops! Bowties and clutches are optional.
Without a doubt, you should treat your skin right - especially your face! But the night before an amazing glam event, then I have to sit down and seriously give some much needed TLC! With the Manhattan Cocktail Classic Opening Night Gala at the New York Public Library being tomorrow, that means that I have 3 times (day/night/day) to give tons of attention. It's not about crazy scrubbing. I'm a huge fan of Neutrogena Naturals which ensures that any makeup on your face is removed, then I love doing a nice scrub (gentle gentle). I also believe in eye creams especially when you know that you will have tons of camera time. The more moisture you can provide this thin portion of your skin, the more it will look dewey which will show better in pictures. Yes to Carrots is a great line and I love the extra hydration of the Cucumber which is super something. Finally, I love love love Lip Strip from Laura Geller. I have used this for years and it keeps my lips supple and happy! These are just a few of the amazing finds that are perfect to prep your skin for a great night out!
From one fabulous weekend to the next, I'm in a constant state of planning outfits for red carpet events. This Fri night, I will be at the New York Public Library for the Manhattan Cocktail Classic for their opening gala which will have a number of beverages and appetizers to enjoy. I remember hearing about last year's event but being able to attend is going to be so much fun! So of course, this has put me in a state of sourcing the perfect outfit. Although I am going as a guest of Campari, I have to think about how fab my look must be so I'm definitely thinking of something that is simple in color but dynamic when it comes to adornment! I'm loving this dress by Alice + Olivia which is so sophisticated chic. Pairing it with the spice of Oscar de la Renta is a phenom choice and to top it off with Giuseppe Zanotti crystal chunky heels (I normally don't do chunky but love the bling) and of course Alexander McQueen is a great way to finish the entire look!
