Last Saturday, I went to one of my favorite places that have definitely made my life easier! Beam Laser Spa lets me forget about how my underarms look when I'm out and about. On a recent trip to Orlando when the weather was toasty and I was seeking refuge from an impending snowy storm in NYC, I was completely ready! The sisters of Beam Laser Spa are definitely the ones to go to when you know that you want to look your best wherever you're looking to have no hair! This isn't just for women as men also can enjoy this as well. This is the perfect way to enjoy Valentine's Day if you have a getaway or you're turning your studio into a love hideaway. I am obsessed with Yelp! I love that even though it is a site full of reviews, that it's definitely an amazing community to bring people together! I love adding my two cents in and when I want to know about a vegetarian Thai restaurant, I placed this on a chat board and was directed to someone's personal list of Thai veggie places! This is such a great community and it is one where people are always listing events! If you have yet to check this out, you should and of course it's perfect for wherever you live! I have some items from Orlando (recent trip) and obviously NYC! In addition, this is not just about food, it's also about any place you go to that others should know about, My goal is to add items to this list that no one has ever covered! I am heading home after a week in Orlando for the PGA show. I can't wait to see my boyfriend and his friends again on the UWS to go to this year's Super Bowl Party. I love the game, the food, the commercials and just having a chance to end the football season to think about next year! Stay in touch with everything by visiting the NFL's site to see info on half time, behind the scenes videos and the blog. Within the blog, I found out that the Empire State Building (which I will look for as I drive back into NYC) will be lit with the Cardinals and Steelers colors! I am rooting for the Steelers but I think that this will be a very exciting game!
So I am still at the PGA Show in Orlando and I have learned a lot about golf from such trainers as Corey Taylor (he defintiely knows his stuff and I believe he is training the #7 and #11 player in the world) to products that are necessary in order to enhance my game! I'm really excited to start playing again this spring and if you're in the area, we can definitely do a group thing. While I was at the show I found out about Keri Golf who is also concerned about the state of how we look when we play. I love the golf bags that she has available. Who wouldn't want vibrant colors and interesting patterns? This company is based out of Jersey and is definitely one that you want to look into when you're getting ready to hit the green! My personal favorite is the Katherine!

Today at the Lacoste booth, Lorena Ochoa signed autographs and chatted with fans at the PGA Show in Orlando. Seeing everyone wrapped around the booth to see her was truly amazing. I have to say that I loved seeing her interact with everyone (especially with the babies). Check out images and of course, I will follow up with more!

So tomorrow is the first day of the PGA Golf Show in Orlando so my posts will be more golf oriented. One of the things that I fell in love with in terms of Ame & Lulu was that they understood the need for women to accessorize. I think that having fun pops of color and also something that makes lugging items around easier, adds to the fun of the game. The golf course is truly an accessible field to everyone! Ame & Lulu has created amazing lines that not only give you a lot of variety but allows you to show your personality! Oh the weather is really frigid and even the simplest task takes on new meaning when you realize that you have to go outside. As I head out to Orlando today to enjoy great weather for the rest of the week, I will be very mindful of the great items that I will need to get to make it through this season! This week is crazy busy! So for many of you, you can enjoy having the day off and having a relaxing long weekend. Tomorrow is the inauguration and for those of you attending Yelp's Inauguration Ball, I will see you tomorrow. I always love a chance to dress up and enjoy amazing foods! I also can't wait to meet those that I interact with on Yelp as well! In addition, I will be in Orlando next week so those who are in that area, let me know if you would like to meet up! In addition, the exciting news is that the Valentine's Gift Guide is in a pre-launch this morning! It will be completed by Feb 1st, until then you can consider this a bit of a preview!
Yes it's cold out there and although we haven't gotten through the worse part, I love the fact that Spring is around the corner. Over the next few months I'll be traveling to Orlando, Dominican Republic, South Beach, LA, Chicago and possibly Costa Rica. Except for Chicago, the other locations are all warm weather bound (we also have our crawfish and lobster boil during the summer which will take place at our condo with friends)! I've definitely started to purchase a few dresses that will be perfect for these trips. I love my t-shirt/tank and jeans/yoga pants; however, it's nice to glam it up every now and then! To that end, I have been looking for various pieces that are perfect to wear for drinks, going out dancing, etc.
Last last fall, I had the opportunity to learn about Single Dress! I love that they embody "South Beach style". I love the prints, styles and just the element of resort style. Of course you don't have to wait until you go on vacation to wear these pieces. It's perfect to party at the Meat Packing District, to take up to the Hamptons and more. In addition to super cute dresses, Single Dress and its various collections can also be worn with your favorite jeans and shoes as well. I grew up loving music, although I never played an instrument and barley sang, I was fortunate to grow up in a family of those who sang and to have a signed artist that taught me the value of various forms of music. When I listen to a song, I really listen for what I like to call "the goosebump moments". This is when you hear a voice that is distinct, lyrics that take your emotions to another level and being able to get to know about the artist and how they set themselves apart from others. IreneB has these qualities and more and is the reason why I love keeping an ear to new sounds especially those that are independents who you know that they will make a strong impact in the industry.
This singer/songwriter hails from Barcelona and as she prepares to launch her first CD "Metamorphosis" in her new home, Orlando, she has already accomplished so much on her journey. Her journey began with a love of R&B which was cultivated as she studied music for 7 years and then put her knowledge into practice as she graced various stages. Not only has her single "Forgive Me Now" played online and in radio stations internationally, this marks the first English R&B CD that was created from a Spanish native and distributed worlwide! Being someone who used to do PR for digital artists, I really love how her music has been included with quite a few podcasts!
The single is powerful not only due to IreneB's voice which reminded me of Tony Braxton and Christina Aguilera but her skills as a songwriter is evident as she sings asking for fogiveness in order to move forward. From the very first words, you're brought into the song and carried through with amazing melodies. IreneB's talent is undeniable; however, she knows how to pick a great team that is no stranger to working with the best of the best. Frankie Biggz has worked with such notables as Chrisina Aguilera, 50 Cent, Kanye West and much more! With his magical touch, I am excited to see where he will take IreneB. Available on iTunes this song has such a catchy beat and lyrics, that you will find yourself pressing repeat on your iPod.
