Last night, prior to the TotalBeauty.com and StyleList.com party, I took a second to take in the tents. It's my favorite thing to do the night before the shows. I love seeing the people making their preps and just seeing people hanging out in the park casually. Knowing that in hours the place will have constant activity until the conclusion of this event is absolutely amazing. But sitting there last night with great weather, a party around the corner with the amazing brands and my friends Dashing Diva and Dark PR, you forget about that and just enjoy that you're in the area. I love that the Empire State Building peeks out in this video clip and that also you can see the other buildings around. It's absolutely amazing that there is such a nice area that everyone loves to hang out at in the heart of the city! Enjoy and I can't wait to keep in touch via posts. If you Twitter, follow me! Last Wed, I had the fortunate honor of being invited into the Fashion Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony of Liz Claibourne and DVF herself at the Bryant Park Grill! I was so excited as earlier this year I enjoyed wearing her designers in a photoshoot hosted by the DVF team. In addition, I was really interested in seeing the large disks that are placed on 7th avenue to commemorate those in fashion who deserve to be highlighted for their creativity. I enjoyed listening to Liz Claibourne's husband talk about the late designer but I was so excited to hear what DVF had to say. I have included footage from that morning taken from me! I feel that her speech was informative and one that we can all remember - even when we want to do something, we need to challenge ourselves to do it as years later, it won't seem so scary and you will be acknowledged for your perseverance in this area. Enjoy!
This weekend, I was reacquainted with a place that I had visited last summer. It's definitely nice to be able to write about something when you have an awareness of the full experience! Jordan's Lobster Bar is an interesting place in Island Park, NY. You can come here to eat - there is always a long line of people ordering outside the window and waiting for lobsters, mussels and so much more. They can enjoy this outside which is always lively and looks out to the water. You can also shop on the inside where you can pick up items that are frozen and tasty salads. Of course there is another option where my bf and I stood waiting to get live lobsters. I could sort of see them being fished out of the farm area and we were able to see if we wanted to add anything to our order. This is definitely a great place to visit if you're going on a picnic, meeting with friends or are creating an amazing dinner as we did this weekend! Visit yourself and you can also order online as well to get fresh lobster!
Yes today is Mon and I am all about Mingling but I wanted to share with you something that will be changing in terms of "Sippin' Saturdays", which has been all about drinks, Snazzy Sundays which tends to focus on home decor and Mingling Mondays. Although from time to time this summer, these days will cover the topics mentioned previously, I will also take these topics to another level by taking in the best of what we can do on our long weekends! In these posts, you'll find great ideas and fun places to go to that are in the area or in our own backyard. I am so exited to share with you and if you have a restaurant, city, boutique, etc - share with me and I will come out to check it out! Consider this segment to be something like the travel channel of sorts and I will be your guide on fun items. In addition, due to the continued condo hunt that my boyfriend and I are on, I will also bring you yummie places to eat in the Hoboken, Jersey City and Williamsburg area as well.
Back to Mingling Mondays, I had the luxury of enjoying my first half day Friday of the season by heading to Bryant Park and watching other people enjoy the day as well. I am really getting into using my Flip and can't wait to start using it for my ultimate projects which will be revealed within the next few days and of course available on my You Tube channel! Until then, enjoy watching footage of people hanging out in the park and can I say that I loved being able to chat with everyone on Twitter as well. If you have an account check me out there and of course you can always catch me on Facebook as well!
The other day my boyfriend and I headed out to Park Slope to visit condos. I have to say that the condo search for him has lead me to a variety of new areas and for this girl who hasn't been in Brooklyn very often, it's nice to have a new area to see with fresh eyes. I have to say that we stopped into the bar Alchemy and it was so cozy and they had an amazing Strawberry Mojito that was really interesting and until then, I had never tried Mussels - loved them. It was such a cozy vibe and everyone was so nice and I love that it had the perfect dark atmosphere which leads to amazing conversation. So, since today is all about beverages, if you're in the area you should definitely pop in - I would also suggest the calamari and they have an interesting Chickpea snack which was addicting. ALCHEMY

This weekend, I spent time with my boyfriend lounging and chatting. I love how you can enjoy a great time with some drinks and a lot of laughter. This is the kind of weather that will make you want to be outside as much as possible. So when you do this, you'll find that you'll want to keep topping yourself with great finds. The Hudson Hotel (this is apart of the Morgans Hotel Group) has an amazing area that looks like your very own private park where you can enjoy nature, drinks and a fabulous setting. This is perfect for after work drinks, planning a birthday party and much more. With all the work that we do, it's nice to live in a luxurious way and of course it makes the weekends run by fast!
We love hearing from you! Suggestions, ideas and thoughts are always welcome.
Please send all food related questions to Paul, spa and wellness items to Keren and all other queries to Kimmie.
