Trendy Thursdays: How Do You Glow?

We've all hit the gym, been out in the sun or had a night out at the bars. All of these produce some kind of a glow that makes you look like your full of life; however, how about something that not only creates the glow, but is also easily obtained and good for your body? Glowelle, is a dietary supplement (from Nestle gasp)that you can ingest in your water or favorite juice so that you have that glow and plenty of antioxidants which are essential! I took the 30 day challenge and am currently still in it! My 30 day pack is in a cute box and is Raspberry/Jasmine (also comes in Pomegranate/Lychee) flavored. I found that pairing this with one of the larger SmartWater bottles was perfect as there is a lot of powder within each pouch (some people also split the packet if they feel it is too much). If you feel that you taste too much of the vitamin or flavor, consider putting this in with apple juice, cranberry, etc.

Giveaway Goodies: Mistral Soaps

This week the amazing and aromatic people at Mistral have provided four great bath bars that are available for this week's giveaway! (This Sandlewood Hazelenut bar pictured here is actually Mistral's soap of the week and is available at a reduced price. I have to say, the first time that I found out about this great brand was while I worked as a manager at Anthropologie. I came across so many scents that it was hard for me to find a favorite! I really love that they include Shea Butter which is always great to provide extra noursihment for your skin.

On Thursday, during our normal beauty segment, you'll find about something that I find to be a lot fun about this brand but until then, this week's giveaway includes four bath bars that four individuals will win. Sippin Saturdays: THINK CITRUS ~ Island Blossom

Just thinking about an Island Blossom, makes me put myself miles away from going to the office and working! Something like this is perfect to sip while hanging out at the beach or while in your studio creating amazing pieces that are definitely going to wow your many followers (although too many sips and the actual creativity may have to be questioned). That being said, this drink has three of my favorite ingredients: Pomegranate, Lychee and Tequila. In addition, I love the color and it happens to fit with the theme: THINK CITRUS. Thanks to Cocktail Times, this recipe and others like it, will have us on our way to being budding mixologists!

Island Blossom
Ingredients:
- pre-marinate fresh fruit pieces with lime juice and Malibu passion fruit rum
- 1 part pomegranate juice
- 1 part orange juice
- 1/4 part simple syrup
- 1/2 part Soho lychee liqueur
- 2 parts Tezon Blanco tequila

Mix juices, tequila, syrup and lychee liqueur with pre-marinate fresh fruit pieces in a mixing glass. Serve in a rocks glass over ice.

Sippin Saturdays: Arizona Tea Bags

The other day I had Arizona Green Tea with Pomegranate Acai tea bags. I am such a fan of the cold beverage but I never thought that I would love it in this version. I love the rich taste and the fact that it has green tea in it as well. I would say that you should definitely give this a try and I enjoy drinking it this morning. Nothing is better than sipping on this while building websites, blogging and more.

I have a new favorite brand of teas. It started while I was at Wholefoods a week ago spending about 20 mins browsing the tea section. I love Republic of Teas and a few other brands but nothing had jumped out at me until I saw this logo of Zhena's Gypsy Tea and I must say that I looked at the label and the antique like tins and thought that it would be interesting to try. Although there were a variety of teas, I settled on a sampler which contained Lemon Jasmine, Pomegranate Rose (my initial reason for purchasing it), Ambrosia White Plum (which became my favorite) and Sense of Peace. I have been sampling these teas and I love that it's Organic, Free Trade and for those that are concerned, it's Kosher as well. After visiting the site and learning about the tea, the care put into it, etc - I signed up on the mailing list. I believe that my next purchase will be Brazilian Berry or possibly Italian Chamomile. I also like the sound of the White Ginger Iced Tea as well.

With so many interesting blends, you'll find yourself drawn to something within the categories of Herbal, White, Green and Dark blends. Take some time to check out the site and look at the Aromatherapy Wheel where you can see what tea works best on what you are attempting to heal. In addition, you can find out where this is available in your area and for those that may not have it or are too excited to go - you can order online. This makes a great gift and is something that we should all drink to maintain our health!

Sippin' Saturdays: Pomegranate Toddy

I love a nice beverage that warms you up (hello it's 30 dePomegranate Togrees out this morning) and has a great flavor. Today on was Cocktail Times and found a great drink that is absolutely perfect for this season. How cute does this drink look in this glass? I also love that you can enjoy a variety of teas witihn this beverage; therefore, there is a bit of choice that this drinks allows. Nothing is better than making sure you have a warm drink with a little spice in to enjoy after ice skating, walking around the city, etc. I love finding different alcoholic beverages that can be enjoyed at various times beyond the bars/lounges, Take some time to visit Cocktail Times to find more drinks that are just perfect for you.

Pomegranate Toddy:

- 3 oz brandy
- 1 1/2 oz Pama pomegranate liqueur
(or substitute with 2 oz pomegranate juice and 1/4 oz simple syrup)
- 3 oz Darjeeling tea with cloven
Garnish: cinnamon stick and orange peel

Brew tea first. In an Irish coffee mug, pour brandy and pomegranate liqueur. Pour hot tea and stir. Garnish with cinnamon stick and orange pee
