We're obsessing over one of the shows hitting Paris Fashion Week today - Roland Mouret. I'm all about the jackets and color blocking that hit the runway today! I can't believe we're only a few days away from the final walks in Paris!

Yet another fab day of design hit the runways of Milan during Fashion Week! Les Copains had fabulous looks as well as some clutches that are drool worthy due to the hardware alone!
.

We've been teasing you with what to expect at this year's Shoe Week which is full of a number of events including our runway shows during NYFW! One of the brands I'm excited for is Eva Varro which I wear on a number of segments and is known for its vibrant colors in solids and print with Gasoline Glamour, phenomenal heel and accessory brand that speaks to my Accessories Expert know how! The designer, Shannon, is all about putting her creations on her soled canvases which include feathers, Swarovski Crystals and so much more! She has dressed a number of celebs and hit a number of red carpets which is exactly why we wanted to present phenom designers to our event! I'm also excited to share that in addition to seeing these heels on the runway as they will be dressing this entire show (we have 4 shows this day with different apparel and footwear designers being paired together), you will see phenomenal pieces from the collection within our Handbag & Shoe Lounge throughout the day! Stay in touch with our events by visiting, our Schedule or on Fashion Monitor for those that have this service!

I love that everyday someone is hitting a runway and Lakme Fashion Week has been one of my favorites over a number of years. I love the merge of traditional and new fashions that come together with some of my favorite designers. Take a peek at some of the items that hit the runway over the past few days! Shivan and Narresh has a phenomenal look that graced the runway in one of the most popular trends of the past few seasons - color blocking! I love the ornate traditional look presented by Vikram Phadnis and the fabric has such texture. Amy Jackson, British model turned actress struts down the runway in Bhairavi Jaikishan (this stunning woman was her muse) which is yet another gorgeous piece! Bollywood actress, Zoa Morani rocks the very popular tangerine/clementine hue by Payal Kothri and I'm loving this citrusy look of Pia Pauro. Catch the runways live to see the shows from Lakme Fashion Week which continues until March 6th at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
NYFW has come and gone and now other cities are rocking their runways with a number of designers. We enjoyed some phenomenal weather (even though during NYFW we were going to have rain for days) and then fall magically came when the runways went quiet. I love that we're now in fun layers and I've been rocking fun looks as I have also been wearing my line, Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12! This fashion week season it has been super clear that orange is a hue that is going to be huge for Spring 12 for mens and womens. Good thing that we can all rock orange so his style will definitely incorporate the above look!
I love Balmain's peacoat - which is classic chic and who doesn't love the buttons, pair this with a simple shirt and a fan pair of jeans of his choice. I'm a huge fan of texture and hues so this Etro Houndstooth scarf is amazing and of course, you can't go wrong with Prada - these penny drivers are divine. Finish it all up with J Crew's weekender bag which is perfect for apple and pumpkin picking or just going away for a bit of a vacation.
Karl Lagerfeld is phenomenal without question and you can't think of the Chanel runways now without thinking of him. His talented eye has also been included within a number of other fun collections and next Wednesday, "The Kaiser" will launch Impulse Only at Macy's which will be available at select Macy's as well as on Macys.com. Today I'm flying out to HSN so I wanted to leave you with fab video of him behind the scenes doing what he does best - sketching, commenting and seeing his vision on models! I enjoyed checking out the collection a few days ago and this is yet another perfect way to spend the day whether you're staying indoors braving Irene or waiting for the runways of New York Fashion Week to begin.

Lakme Fashion Week began Aug 16th and runs through Aug 16th with a focus on winter/fall and the stage is set at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, India. Over the past few weeks we have been looking at a number of Fashion Shows in the past as we are heading closer and closer to NY Fashion Week here in Lincoln Center. With all the fun that happens when we look back to fashion shows past, it's nice to get into the present. In Mumbai, such Indian Designer as Nikhil Thampi, Jatin Varma, Rina Dhaka, Payal Singhal, J J Vallaya - just to name a few! Above are some of my fave looks from the runways and if you have the chance to catch it while you're relaxing, visit the Lakme site and then check out the tweets from @VogueIndia and @LakmeFashionWk to get up to the minute tweets on what's hitting the runway.
In less than a month, NY Fashion Week will be well underway. The number of outfits that I wear to take care of my show coverage, appearances and evenings is never ending it seems! I love being able to rock a number of looks that show my favorite designers. One of my favorites is Carmen Marc Valvo who always has a phenomenal ladies who lunch - going out on a night vibe! He is always a show that I love catching. In addition, his pieces can always be worn by a number of amazing designers and looks. I'm obsessed with the tan pair of Vince Camuto's that are studded so I can't wait to get a pair in black which is an essential. They look super sexy and feel super comfy. We showcased Malene Birger last week on our beauty post but I am such a fan of hers and am obsessed with her pony hair clutch. Roberto Coin's wide bangle cuff is a great pop to add to any look to add a bit of edge. Finish it off with Vera Wang's phenomenal crystal chain necklace. What a great way to look uber chic watching the runways to being out and about.

I'm such a fan of Trussardi as they make phenomenal pieces for men , women and accessories/gifts. I love that when they presented their line for the runways of Milan in June, they had a number of fab looks for the boardroom and vacationing in your fave locale. Their models also hit the stage with fab luggage perfect for all your jetsetting needs!

This past Menswear 2012 show and Women's Resort 2012 for Salvatore Ferragamo rocked serious shades of blue on their mutual runways. I do love that every now and then it's fun to compliment one another's sense of style. Today with the reprieve from the weather we enjoy some serious hues that work well regardless of the season!

We know that last month it was all about Menswear as a number of male models hit the runways rocking out a number of looks that we can't wait to see up close and personal for Spring/Summer 2012! Sometimes it's best to take a moment and reflect on how amazing a trend in a show was by giving it a little breathing room. Today's His Style shows us that he needs to rock a little red. It's not about wearing it head to toe but it looks best when it's paired with a fresh palette that contains or is a mixture of black, white and/or grey. Whether you opt for leather goods that have red in it, a jacket that has a pop of it in its colorway or you go all out wearing the hue - you're guy is all set for a day to do what he does best! We're loving that Gucci reminded us of this fab trend and we can't wait to hit the streets to see this.

With New York Fashion Week only days away, today's post looks at HSBC's Colombo Fashion Show 2011 which took place in Sri Lanka this weekend from the 4th - 6th. As always, here are some amazing looks that hit the runway over the weekend. I enjoyed seeing the hues and having the goddess effect throughout many of the looks. Having that simple elegance is all one needs sometimes to turn a few heads.

By the time you read this, I will be on set getting ready to do a fun segment that focuses on one of my favorite topics - accessorizing! With an early morning call and drinks later on tonight with some of my favorite people - it's going to be a long night but I'm super excited to see where the day will take me from start to finish! Just like Saturday we launched a new portion which focuses on runways, Mondays now focuses on the Look of the Day! These images could come from the day or an event from the previous week!
Today's look came from the photoshoot that I did this weekend! I love it as it is very "me" outfit. First, my style in the winter is a little more classic (versus the summer which is a little more boho chic). Second, I am a huge fan of mixed media which means that I love to pair high end designers along with those that are more accessible. I am a huge fan of leggings (grabbed these from Forever 21) as it makes it so much easier when you want to rock a fab pair of boots - speaking of, loving the Fairfax Boot which is from Report. As soon as I zipped these over the knee boots on, I was definitely in love. I'm also a fan of whimsy so having this see through ivory top with ruffles (another fab Forever 21 find) was a nice way to make the overall look very femme with a side of sizzle with the accessories!
Happy New York Fashion Week! I love this time of year (not always the part about jumping in and out of the tents in the cold but definitely the part about seeing the runways come alive). Last year, I fell in love with Mackage! I love their outerwear and feel that their fashions are amazing across the board from men to women! Many times, I'm in and out and if you can't take off your coat or you are simply doing walk throughs, then your coat is as much as an outfit as what you are wearing underneath! It's essential to accessorize it with the right shoes, bag, etc! Today, I kicked off Fashion Week seeing fab pieces that are a must for the wardrobe! If you'd love to see more of Mackage, check out more images directly from the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week site!
During Australia Fashion Week, a variety of designers hit the runways with amazing looks and models to complete the image of course. I have to say that I love this collection although I have never seen Thurley before! I love this dress since it is a very simple cut and then has great pop factor with the beautiful design that is on the front of the dress. If you love this look and more, you'll enjoy seeing more from this collection at Coutorture which is a great place to go for original editorial shoots and also amazing runway shows from around the world.
