Yesterday flew by as it was a day full of confirming, adjusting and of course prepping. I love going to spas and getting your hair done but when it's in the midst of one of the craziest times of the year it's yet another series of items on the to do list. Now there is one area that I sometimes avoid as I'm awful at it - my eyebrows. I have a love hate relationship with them. As much as I love them, trying to keep them tame and looking amazing is not my forte. So when a PR team reached out and told me about Hibba Beauty and I realized that her work is virtually everywhere - I said yes and hoped I would have Hibba herself!
What drew me to this was that I am not a fan of plucking my eyebrows and there is something about threading that seems natural to me. Above is an image that I took from Pretty Connected (so thank you). Located on 448 West Broadway in the midst of some of my fave places to shop such as Rosa Cha, this eyebrowologist can be found on the second floor. The space is tiny but everyone was so nice and welcoming. As I sat in the chair I was nervous as my brows were a bit bushy and I didn't know what the protocol was. I was actually a little nervous and right after I had relaxed that's when I realized that threading does have a bit of pain to it (although I'm a baby). It's more that you're stunned at the ripping sound as after the first couple of times, you get used to it.
Hibba is super fast and knows what's she doing. She knows how to look at your face and to see what works best. I wondered if my eyebrows would still be there but found that not only were they there but they were the way I have always dreamed that they would be! In addition, I learned that I could basically go back once a month to keep them in line which I will do from now on! Only one eyebrow was slightly less than perfect (which Hibba pointed out to me as I was so thrilled) but it seems that it will fill in nicely and my brows now have star quality! I was so pleased I hugged her on my way out.
This is definitely a must to go to and I know that they do other services which I am sure they do with the same care as they did my brows!
